My husband has been having dreams of caves regularly. The scenario is always different, but the caves always exist. Wondering if anyone can help explain what this means so we can resolve the problem. Thanks for your help!

My guess would be he's feeling daring or adventurous lately. He may also feel like he's missing something. If that's the case you won't figure it out until he knows himself best.

Both Carl Jung and Edgar Cayce stated that the archetypal or universal level of meaning of a cave in a dream was as a symbol of the unconscious/subconscious mind. Of course there personal levels of meaning from personal associations in ones life. Primitive people lived in caves and also mystic hermits and monks. Are the cave images positive or negative or a mix? I have found that for me images related to the subconscious like caves, oceans, lakes, ponds, forest when positive are telling me to spend more time reflecting on my dreams. When there is danger or trouble underground, in the body of water or forest then the dream is telling me to spend less time reflecting on the dreams and more time grounding myself. This is rarely discussed in dream books.
