Interpreting house cusps

I have many of my planets cunjunct a house cusp from the previous house, and I'm not sure how I should be interpreting any of it.

Mars Conjunct Ascendant from 12th House.
Sun Conjunct 4th House Cusp from 3rd House.
Venus Conjunct Saturn both Conjunct 5th House Cusp from 4th House.
Pluto Conjunct Midheaven from 9th House.

Is there a good reference that I can look at?

I don't think "cusps" exist do they?

Years and years ago I read if your sun or moon was very close to another sign you might be flavored by both. I No longer believe this to be true.

Your either one or the other.

My Moon for example is at 0 Taurus 57.

And I am pure and simple a Taurus moon.

Make sense?

The orbs of planets to cusps in my chart are:

Pluto Conjunct Midheaven from Ninth House: orb 0:32'
Venus Conjunct Fifth House Cusp from Fourth House: orb 0:13'
Saturn Conjunct Fifth House Cusp from Fourth House: orb 1:01'
Mars Conjunct Ascendant from Twelth House: orb 4:43'
Sun Conjunct Nadir from Third House: orb 8:56'

I've often wondered if I should ignore Cusp Conjunctions. That's the main reason for this thread to begin with. To determine the general thinking in this respect.

As you can see from above, I've got two Cusp Conjunctions that are exact, and three of them are on significant mathematical points.
