I'm interested in ancient astrology and I was wondering if someone in here knows anything about it. Like which system did they use?
I know the ancients used only the 7 planets known in their time: sun, moon, mars, venus, jupiter, saturn and mercury, but did they also use ASC and MC in their horoscopes?

I'm in pursuit of the mythological king star...

There is a very significant amount of threads and postings, and references to literature and other internet sources, regarding Hellenist and Traditionalist astrology, here on our AW forums!!

The mythological "king star" in ancient times could be the "Morning Star" or Lucifer, in a debunked belief the planet Venus was actually two worlds. Another theory of mine is the occassional appearance of Uranus in less light polluted skies (the Nibiru in Mesopotamian/Sumerian folklore).

Hmmm, I have had this theory that the seal of salomon, also called the star of david or the hexagram was the king star. But to prove it I would have to find it first...

I keep thinking the planets in ancient times are gods...or sailor princesses (ROFL...Sailor Moon Universe). http://upload.wikime...Sailor_Moon.png (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/2/25/Hotaru_Tomo_of_Sailor_Moon.png) http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/mellow.png Modern-day science busted the ancient myths of the planets as heroic figures of the night sky: To discover they are either solid (the inner planets) or balls of frozen gasses (Saturn among the outer ones) doesn't end the guesses of Venus or Jupiter are "dead stars" or "dead comets", but the canals on Mars aren't artificial structures created by intelligent lifeforms like once thought in the 1880's...it was a particular Italian astronomer's own eye stratches appear on the camera lens.:surprised: (OOPS) :andy:
