Any insight on how good/bad that is?
I'm attaching my chart so you can see the condition of my Venus.
She's opposing my Moon and squaring my Mars.
And she doesn't like being in Scorpio much.
She's in my 9th house and I have spent all my adult life trying to grow roots abroad. Have no roots anywhere as of now. :(
Any ideas what to make of it? Is there any good news in this mess?
How can I empower my singleton Venus in Scorpio?
I tried googling it but can't find anything specific for Venus in Scorpio singleton.

Singleton planets
“If a planet happens to be the only one in an element, quality, or house type, that planet is a Singleton and it can funnel all of the “energy” of the horoscope. This planet is often the most important one in the horoscope. In other words, if you just interpret the position of this one planet by sign, house, and aspect, you will get to the “heart of the horoscope”. The effect is the same as if that planet were the only one on one side of the chart.”

(There is a book out by Shirley Lyons Meier, "Elemental Voids, More than Meets the Eye", which gives a good discussion of missing elements.) The Inferior Function can be a source of great motivation and creative expression.

Thanks, A50! I know what a singleton is - I figured it on my own that my Venus in Scorpio is a singleton. My question is: she doesn't seem to be happy in Scorpio and given my natal aspects; so does it mean my entire chart is doomed? Is there a way to empower her? Does her condition explain any part of my life struggle?

You have calculated your chart using the default on astro.com of placidus and I use Equal House system and am a modern astrologer. Lots of people that come into Astrology get their free charts calculated at www.astro.com (http://www.astro.com/) and the default ‘house system’ used is Placidus and think that’s just the norm and all that there is……..BUT that is just the tip of the iceberg. You can change the default on astro.com in Extended Chart selection to Equal house and a few more.

Throughout the forums but mainly in natal astrology there are two main branches Placidus (unequal size houses) v Equal House (whereby each house is same size) but lots more……. For more information on these go here.

It's only with study and research will you be able to assess where your planets are deposited and in which houses... thus see which 'glove fits'

Now, in Equal house venus is in your 10 th house not 9th
http://www.skyscript.co.uk/temples/h10.html

your neptune conj MC is your problem area, cos your goals become fluid, changeable, hard to define, illusions and confusions

plus this neptune is quincunx to saturn which can create depressions and frustrations of not being able to put structure (saturn) into defining your career goals...

you could have a strong sense of spirituality and psychic vibes but you may also pick up on others illnesses or problems a little too much--- IF your time of birth is correct of course..

T Saturn is currently sitting on your uranus creating a conventional attitude but also wanting to break free (uranus), I call this one freedom v convention aspect. When your prog mars gets to natal north node, finances, goals should really take off for you

Your prog sun has entered your12th house of isolation, privacy and suggests working behind the scenes

I think you are focusing on the wrong planet, the key to undestanding your chart is Neptune conj MC

I hear you and thanks for the feedback, A50!
I know you use equal houses but I haven't looked into house systems so I use the astro default until I figured there is a reason not to.
Nept conj MC is a very weird "feature" for me. A mystery because the conventional interpretation of it just doesn't fit in my case. I have achieved all my goals in life and I am a very determined and persistent person when it comes to my goals.
It's now that I hit 41 and I have all these midlife squares that I experience confusion for the first time in my life!
I have asked in a different thread for help with interpreting my N Nept conj MC as what I read and google just isn't me. There was never a doubt in my mind about my career goals and I reached a very high level of achievement in my life so far.
I feel we got off-topic though as that's another thread?
Feel free to move this to where you see fit.
Thanks!

sounds like your birth time is out to me, I notice you put 12noon???

If it doesn't sound like you, you need to do some rectifications..

Solar Arcs
Solar arcs are really simple, especially for beginners, just move the Angles, Asc, Desc, MC, IC 1' for each year of your life onto planets and vice versa. Not just used for rectification either. Under age 12 though these interpretations are directed towards family changes, maybe relocation, job changes, illnesses, additions to family etc. Another example is my Pluto is 28' Leo in 7th house and my Uranus is 3' Leo in same house to subtract these and you get age 25. That year my then husband and I had an almighty explosion (Uranus) and transformation (Pluto) of that marriage that started the demise and ultimate ending thereof....

Further research on solar arcs try these threads.

Transiting Pluto square, conj opp Asc, Desc, MC, IC
If under 12’ when it conj an Angle then their age was under age 12 it’s parents adjustments. A death, change within father’s work, a separation, remarriage.
Adults or teens, 1st job, identity transformation MC.
Pluto conj Desc = death, health concerns, geographic, significant relationship or break up, but has to be ‘life transforming’
Also try transiting Neptune, something dissolving, disappearing, confusing etc.
Timings of transits… is it the 1st hit? More often it’s the middle retrograde hit… but could be the last direct hit also. 1’ =4minutes in time.

Yes, unfortunately it's documented as noon so any doubts I had were silenced when my mom showed me her old diary.
BUT she could be wrong and I hope she is else I can't explain my Nept conj MC.
Initially she had given me 10am as my birth time -argh- but that was just oral.
Then a few months ago she showed me her old diary from the hospital.
When I asked how precise this is (since it's written as "12pm (noon)" with no reference on minutes she said that's all she's got.
Do you really think I can do rectification on my own?
I have heard it's pretty complicated and only an prof astrologer could do it?
I will check all the links you provided. Thanks so much, A50! :)

"Neptune in Conjunction, Trine, Sextile to Midheaven
You'll do well to pursue a career where you can put your imaginative talents to use. You may experience a time of career confusion, along with seemingly aimless drifting before you settle firmly into a profession. That's OK because you'd rather pursue your ideal work. Some call this following your bliss. Consider some of the following career potentials: acting, any of the helping professions, working as a healer, undercover agent, psychologist, or in the arts (music, singing, dancing, painting), psychic channeling, anything connected to the sea, writing novels, or working in the field of chemistry and pharmaceuticals."

Yes, psychologist is something I *always* have wanted to do.
Pluto is the guy who rules my Venus singleton (in Scorpio).
And Pluto is in my 8th (along with Jup and Uranus!).
I have known for a while that I want to follow that route but I instead followed the more Uranian high tech science (although back when I took that decision I had no clue about astrology lol - I was just following my nose).
The turn to psychology though is not easy! I have to abandon a pretty established career in a different field. And I can't seem to find opportunities to help me take the plunge. I have no income (laid off at the peak of recession and cannot find a full time job since) so I can't do courses or whatever. It's a weird situation to be in.
Speaking of healing, I am into Reiki and psychic staff but I need a job to pay the bills.
I used to be artistic as a kid although I have no clue if I have any talent. People have commented on my acting skills many times. I don't see it. Do you? (in my chart I mean)
I love love love the sea but I have no clue what to do with it; no sea-related profession resonates. Pharma is an interesting twist. A colleague of mine is encouraging me to make a turn into bioinformatics (since I'm into informatics with a PhD in the field) and I have been thinking about it. As I said, I have no clue how to make it happen. All doors I have knocked on are closed shut.....
