Chiron has been associated with Virgo by the older generations of astrologers because the sign deals with the physical body and, consequently, picks up on its imperfections. For those of us with Chiron in Virgo it's a pretty logical conclusion because we associate so easily with our imperfect state :). Many with Chiron in Libra find its qualities agreeing to that sign...the effect of the pain of private relationships; with Chiron in Scorpio, the pain of intimacy and warped values, etc.etc. But Chiron isn't a designated planet. It's one of many 'flying objects' within our solar system, with an orbit between Saturn and Uranus. As such, it cannot take rulership over a sign. But it sure can help in any sign it is placed to deal with the pain in us that is brought on by others that can contribute to any physical disease. Chiron can act as the therapy/therapist in or outside ourself that can help us come to terms with the outer cause ( Saturn) of this inner pain and towards the gradual self healing because, via Uranus, we eventually 'see the light'. In other words, we canot change the past but we CAN change how we view it.
