View Full Version : When a podiatrist and astrologer work together...

My sister just started working as a podiatrist. I guess I'm the astrologer.

I have a 3rd house Mars in Aquarius.
I have a 1st house Saturn in Sagittarius
I have a 4th house Jupiter in Pisces

Sun square Mars
Saturn square Jupiter

Anatomy:

We figured out between us that one of my legs is slightly longer than the other, and that as a result I put more pressure on the foot of my shorter leg to compensate, which twists it. As a result of the way I walk on that leg my calf is also slightly tighter and more prone to injury.

Additionally, the length of the legs varies (only by 1cm) with the femur and not anywhere else.

Also, while I naturally have tight and therefore injury prone calves, I have fleshy and hyper-flexible thighs even though I do no exercise. This gives me a powerful upper leg but a weak lower leg.

Astrology:

I think it is uncanny that my Jupiter, so beneficially placed in my chart, should bestow such powerful and flexible thighs and hips, especially when I do no exervise. The ONLY negative aspect to Jupiter is the Saturn square, which should manifest itself as the femur bone being slightly irregular. It is fitting that Saturn afflictions should affect the bone and not the flesh. So if I see Saturn afflictions from now on I will connect it to the bone of the body area of the planet being afflicted. Or the knee.

Jupiter and Neptune are both well aspected so none of the leg irregularities affect the health of my feet. If I had had weaker feet they would not have taken to the 1cm leg difference well.

Mars square Sun has given me weaker calves- Aquarius is at work here? I find it difficult to stretch these, I'm not sure how the Sun influence works here but the Aquarian planet being square is more prominent here. I guess the calves being tight might make them more prone to cramp, which could relate to my circulatory system.

Conclusions:

I would love to know if anyone has Saturn afflictions which show up as irregularities or weakness in the bone structure of the body part the afflicted planet rules. They may be slight or major (hey mine is only 1cm and I didn't realise until my sister looked at it.)

I would also love to know if Jupiter afflictions show up as problems with muscles or flesh of either the hips of thighs or of the body part the afflicted planet rules.

For instance does anyone have Mercury- Saturn aspects and find they have one arm longer than the other? Apparently to check you can put your hands into the prayer position, checking your fingers align perfectly, and then bring your elbows together.

I am a pretty Saturnine Aquarian, with a Cap Moon opposed by Sat, and Sat opp my Mars, too. In my childhood, I used to complain about legs aches - mainly around the shins (Aqu rules the shins) & knees (Sat rules the knees & joints). That stopped, but now (and I am still pretty young), I occasionally suffer stiffness of the upper back and muscles in general. Oh & btw, my sign's co-ruler Ura sits in the 3rd, and my mum says that I started to speak rather early and was a pretty mentally agile kid. She says that she always had to think up of new games and ways to keep me (mentally) occupied, or else I would get so restless (must be all that nervous Ura energy in the third, plus Ura trine Ven- with Ven ruler of 3rd via Libra). This mental restlessness is still quite prevalent:rolleyes:. Oh, and Cap/Sat rules my 6th house.

hello there Sun dance. I m guessing your about to same age as me. But prolly a scopio sun instead of sag. I have sun square mars and saturn square jupiter also. I have saturn rising. and this kinda takes a wear on my teeth. My teeth when i was a young lad rotted out quick. prolly due to the square to jupiter and my indolgence for candy. (not no more though) I have had alot of work done on my mouth growing up but nothing to outrageous. My one moler was rotted down to my gum line and i was sure it needed to get pulled but when i saw the dentist he said it was'nt that bad to my surprise and that i had excellent bone structure. So he built the tooth up with pins and now its perfect. Despite having plenty of cavities and rotted teeth when I was younger. There was almost never any pain from them, besides 1 or 2 little cavities that irritated me. I figure this was jupiters way of hanging in there. How bad could a square from jupiter to its own sign be? I have never broken a bone either. Very strong bones. Never any problems with my legs although I'm a clumsy little sag sometimes and roll/sprain ankles occasionally. I heard that everybody has a leg longer then the other, prolly not by much though. I did have the nastiest ingrown toenails ever seen though.;) I guess this was from saturn squaring jupiter in pisces "the sign which rules the feet" glad to comment.

Hi Sundance,

I have Saturn square Jupiter. One hip is smaller than the other, not congenital but the result of healing less than optimally after I fell off a roof. Tendency to re-injure the hip/pelvis area, the observation of a shorter leg in my case is due to rotation of the pelvis. Also intermittent tenderness and inflammation in the flesh of the thigh.

Saturn in Pisces... here and bone problems in my feet galore. may be having to get another spur removal surgery in the following months as they are impending lateral movement of the foot and inflamming the tibial tendon and the vertical movement of the achilles tendon on the heel. Making standing a challenge at times. The very mechanism that holds you vertical is being compromised at times. Very delicate surgery I am told and my orthopedist isn't going to do it...but a Foot/Ankle specialist instead. Had similar surgeries ten years ago. Always something... LOL
I have a Cancer Moon, a "busy" Cancer ruled 6th house, squaring Saturn nearer to 0 degrees Aries, I think it links my digestive system problems to my bone problems. Excessive Bone growth in the spine and other places would think of Jupiter for the excessiveness My Mars and Jupiter conjunction Trines my Saturn by a 6 degree orb.

Your statement,

I do have an anomaly in my arms....my Mercury and Saturn Trine by a 3 degree orb..my arm span is 6 inches wider than it was suppose to be. At my max I was near 6'3" but my arm span was near 6'9" ..3 inches longer and symetrical on each side, but really not normal. In normal body symetry one is suppose to have an arm span equal to their vertical height I have read and always heard. Just like your foot length is the same distance of your forearm between your elbow and wrist. We are suppose to be symetrical. I am just symetrically longer in this case LOL.
Take care
Franklin

I just wanted to chime in quickly and say that I, too have Saturn in Pisces ( yours in the 2nd, too, FT?). I have had problems with my feet all my life. Even when I was little - special orthopedic shoes for my feet turning inward - extreme pain in my feet as the bones would "catch" and get kinda stuck in the wrong place. Currently, I can only wear a limited kind of shoes, as it must have a current kind of arch support, or I cannot walk without pain (pain shoots up my legs). The skin on my feet has always been excessively hard and thick and also cracks open. Lots of problems with corns, too. But my feet are very nicely shaped :o( for all the good that does.) I have a sense that my feet were bound in a past life - maybe more than one. I do have one past life memory of being some kind of geisha-type in Japan.

Yep 2nd house Saturn and retrograde...Freedom ...definitely a viable reference could be made...my achilles tendon is my Achilles Heel right now...like Saturn's Karmic reference to the same. LOL

Achilles tendon is in the area ruled by Aquarius, right? If so, then, your health troubles there may be pointing to "issues in the tissues" concerning Aquarius-type issues. The main ones include rebellion/personal freedom.

I have two other correlations to this:

A friend of mine who did "Brain Gym"/"Touch for Health" said that stretching the calf muscles helped to break a tendency to "run away from your problems, and face the issues instead."

Years ago, long before I got into astrology, when I was still in "the Church", I had a dream about being struck with a flaming arrow this part of my leg. I looked up references to the lower leg in the Concordance. It said that this part of the leg was associated with the image of "a slave being stuck in the miry clay" - similar to the image of having shackles on one's ankles.

See how those image apply to your life, and you may be able to remove the energetic charge that is causing the problems.

What is "Saturn's karmic reference" to the Achilles heel?

Achilles Heel in the Karmic realm is symbolized by Saturn. It is refering to your...weakness, downfall, ..where your problems come...where you must learn the hardest lessons in the chart.
Me Being Aquarius Rising LOL LOL yeah this problem is really and impedment to my Personal Freedom and I do rebell against doing everything I should once in awhile..You would think an hour and a half a day for warm soaks, exercising, and ice would be enough. It seems to demand only more of my energy and time. LOL And the burning/cramping (liken of flaming arrows) pain of spurs pushing on the bursa sacs of my ankles and feet is an earthly manifestation of those flaming arrows... you speak of... often enough... Your pulse does seem to beat twice as fast in your feet as in your heart while they are hurting. LOL I have a friend that is making me some magnetic rock ankle bracelets to see if it will help..LOL I am getting desperate....That is a different thing to dream though there Freedom. Interesting
