New Pope election in Vatican
The astrology and the election of a new Pope
article published on April 18, 9:00 pm GMT
The new Pope will be elected by the 115 Cardinals, from 52 countries, members of the College of Cardinals, in a conclave held in the Sistine Chapel, Vatican, on Monday, April 18, starting with 4:30 pm CED.
Some two and a half hours after the cardinals locked themselves away from the world in the splendor of the Sistine Chapel, billows of thick, black smoke poured out of the building's chimney, indicating that they failed in a initial vote to find a successor to Pope John Paul, the required majority had not been reached.
At this moment I decided to publish here a horary question, which ocurred to me two days ago while I was reading a newspaper article on the Pope election ritual: "How long until the cardinals reach agreement on the new Pope?"
Here is the horary chart:
Chart data: April 16, 2005, at 8:10:53 pm EEDT, in Tirgu Mures, Romania (24e34,46n33)
The chart shows the Moon void of course in Cancer, two degrees and two minutes far from entering Leo, the sign of leadership. Cancer is a cardinal sign, so the timing should use days as the measuring unit.
Translating the distance into time it means 2 days until an agreement will be reached and a new leader of the Roman Catholic Church will emerge from the Sistine Chapel.
Interestingly, Mercury, ruler of the 9th (cardinals assembled in the conclave), is in trine with the MC 9 (the new Pope) with an orb of also a little bit more than 2 degrees, pointing also towards the evening of Wednesday, April 20.
Outcome: April 19, at 5:50 pm CED - white smoke poured from the Vatican's Sistine Chapel chimney indicating the election of a new Pope (which most likely happened up to on hour ago).
The horary chart above still indicates correctly the answer, yet this one lays in other place: the distance from Mercury (ruler of the 9th, the cardinals) to the Sun (ruler of the 10th, the leader = new the Pope) is of a little more than 24 degrees which corresponds to as many hours -> 24 hours = 1 day.
The exact moment of the conclave start was on April 18, at 4:26 pm CED, timed after a live transmission, the moment when the doors of the Sistine Chapel were closed to the public. Below is the chart for this moment:
A very interesting element is that the Ascendant is at 18 degrees Virgo. I have recently read A.T. Mann's book "The Elements of Reincarnation" (Element Books Ltd, 1995) and the author gives a table which relates any historical time with a degree of the zodiac.
It is absolutely astounding, but the time which corresponds to 18 Virgo is represented by the very period of Jesus' life. (read an article on A.T.Mann's theory)
Another exciting element is the Sabian Symbol associated with the Midheaven (the new leader to be elected). In event charts, I prefer to use a technique which yield great results in horary charts, it is the Sabian Symbol of the antiscion degree of a cusp.
In this case, the Sabian Symbol associated with the Midheaven is "A VERY OLD MAN FACING A VAST DARK SPACE TO THE NORTHEAST". This is another extraordinary thing, because the Symbol describes accurately the task of the new Pope - to take replace a previous successful Pope which came from NorthEast (Poland is situated North-East of Vatican), whose loss is expressed by the "vast dark space". Amazing, isn't it?
