Technical question re houses

Hi- Before I cast a chart, I have a question. The querent has asked me if her employer is financially viable. She has concerns about the payment of her entitlements. The Employer owns an old people's home. Recently many cuts have been made to the staff's hours. This nursing home is partly government subsidised. All the beds are full. The company went into receivership last year but was bought by a bank.
I am thinking the querent is the ascendant and the company may be house 7...or house 10?
Can anyone set me straight here please?
(Before I go any further).
Thankyou, Lillyjgc

Re: Technical question re houses

I'm not too practised in horaries, but perhaps the 2nd of the 10th house would give financial information about ones employer. That'd make it house 11.

Re: Technical question re houses

Thanks Rasalhague,
I think what you have proposed sounds reasonable to me.
I'll see what happens when I apply that to the chart.
Again, Thanks.

Re: Technical question re houses

Hi Lilly,

I am about to throw out alot of stuff to make this nice and confusing

Is the question actually will your client be paid? This is her employer?... Look at the 10th for employer and the second for income. If it is how monetary fluid the employer is, look at the employer as a person and assign the 7th then look at the turned 2nd (the 8th)... if this is a question about the financial fluidity of the nursing home, look at the 12th (hospitals, institutions, imprisonment) for the home and then the turned 2nd (the first... you will have to assign your client the Moon, barring that Cancer is not on the cusp) and as Rasalhague has mentioned, if it is about the monetary status of the company... the 10th and the turned 2nd (the 11th).

Good luck!

TK

Re: Technical question re houses

Hi wintersprite1,
No- the question is not *will my client be paid*, although clearly thats the subtext of the question. We did discuss the wording of the question. She decided to ask if the company was financially viable because shes concerned about the long term welfare of the patients, who would be *farmed out* were the facility to close, and there is a dearth of places in aged care in our region. Also she is worried about her staff who she feels may be being misled. I believe she is suspicious about what is beuing said in regard to the cost cutting and the reality of the company's financial state. This client is looking more at the big picture. If the company is not financially viable it will give the client and her staff more time to plan what they are going to do. Of course my client is also concerned that if the company IS going broke (hence the cost cutting), she and all the other staff may not receive their entitlements...long service, sick leave etc.
I think, from what everyone has said, it makes sense to use the tenth for the company-as it is partly funded with Govt money, and the 11th would be the income of that company.
I had been thinking of giving the querent, the client, the ascendant, at this stage anyway...Havent looked at the chart properly yet-wanted to decide on the houses before I was influenced by seeing the chart (!).
Thanks for all the ideas...

Re: Technical question re houses

Hi Lillyjgc,

Yes, the 11th house would be the finances of the employer, certainly for this question.

Cheers,
AG
