Hi Tik! I would not look at Venus and Mars. After having done my own chart (when does the doc. call me) I got the ruler of the doctor sextiling my Asc. which gave the yes. Now the ruler of the 3rd and the Asc. also gave me that.
So I would look at the 3rd house and the 1st house ruler/Ascedant. So Jupiter-Venus or Jupiter-Ascendant aspect.
venus in 7 (one of his co-significators) will square Jupiter in about 2.5 somethings. Venus is angular, in a fast sign, so I guess that could be days.
The square could mean a No or a Yes with some delay or difficulty coming from him. (Venus is in fall of course).
Then we still have Moon, your co-sign. and Jupiter, the call. Also a sextile, but Moon will make the trine to Mars first. As Mars is him, I guess, yes, he could get in touch with you, but as you see, Moon is weak in Scorpio, slow and in the Via Combusta and Mars is also not all too fit in Cancer but at least he is a bit stronger as he is accidentally dignified and the MR also helps of course, but it is a MR between two not too strongly placed planets, so it ispossible that they wont be able to help each other much.
But hey, Venus is conjunct the POF which is nice and could help.
The Anticia of his call (his 3rd house) falls conjunct the South Node, mmmm..... But the Anticia of Jupiter, your 3rd house ruler, falls exactly conjunct your 3rd house cusp and that together with the last aspect of the Moon to Jupiter, why not. You could get the call this week.
