Job Query: Will I get this job?

Hi Everyone,
I just talked to the company recruiter who has given me tentative time next week for a call with the hiring manager. My question is:
“Will I get this job?”
My analysis:
I am Moon. Job is Mars.
· Moon in Libra: in detriment of Mars.
· Mars in cancer: ownership of Moon, Triplicity of Mars, in Fall.
· Ascendant has just separated from a conjunction with Mars, still in orb. Next aspect Mars makes is a trine with Pisces Uranus in 9th, followed by an opposition with Capricorn Jupiter in 6th.
o I had just finished my talk with the recruiter.
o Mars making a trine with Uranus could indicate unpredictability/changes in job.
o Mars in 12th:house of self-sabotage, hidden enemies, hospitals
§ The job is in Cancer research industry (genomics)
· Moon is 8 degrees away before it perfects a square with Mars.
o Before this happens, it will be perfecting an opposition with MC, followed by an opposition with Venus.
My conclusion:
Positive 1: There is an applying aspect between Moon & Mars.
Negative 1: Aspect between significators is a square – obstacles present.
Negative 2: Moon is in Mars’s detriment
=>Moon does not receive Mars well??
OR
=>Mars is not of much benefit to moon.
Positive 2: Mars is in ownership of Moon.
=>Moon is quite comfortable with Mars?
Negative 3: Mars in 12th
š Not sure why
ANSWER: No.
I would love to hear your thoughts. Thank you so much for your time.
Regards,
SR

Re: Job Query: Will I get this job?

Hi,
Just by looking at the applying aspect between the signiifcators makes me think that the answer is a yes.....i dont see squares as obstacles.....could be wrong though.
moon will aspect venus first, which is accidentally dignified in the 10th....seems appropriate, although i am not positive what venus represents, it is the dispositor of the moon, and ruler of your 11th of hopes and wishes.
I am saying yes....

Hope it goes well....let us know

Re: Job Query: Will I get this job?

Saggi Rising,
I agree that your horary chart yields a * no* answer.
You are the moon, in venus's sign....the moon is about to enter the *via combusta* which is not good.Fortuna also will square the moon. The moon applies to a square with the ruler of the job, mars and an opposition to venus in the tenth (what disposits the job)...I am wondering if not getting the job actually is something to do with your gender.
The ruler of the job, Mars, is building to an opposition to jupiter, close to the cusp of h7-*other person*..the moon will square mars then square jupiter....and the moon is in the house of *outcome* house 4....with no positive applying aspects.Venus also applies to a square to both mars and jupiter.
The angles are cardinal showing that the status quo is likely to be maintained or that progress in the matter may be slow.
Please let us know how it turned out.
Best wishes,
Lillyjgc

Re: Job Query: Will I get this job?

Well, having a different opinion here, has got you on the same thread as me Lilly! Thats a start

I have so much to learn (and remember)......I seem to forget via combusta a lot, amongst other things. I like your analysis Lilly, but I have to stick with what I have said.....Hopefully i'll be looking back on this thread soon enough, and will be happy with how my studies are coming along.

Saggi,
Do you know what time your appointment/interview is? Maybe the event chart would be worth looking at aswell?

K

Re: Job Query: Will I get this job?

Your ruler, Moon is on unfortunate fixed star Vindemiatrix, not a good start.
Job is represented with Ma in 12 house(appropriate for research industry ) and being in Moon's sign, job likes you.
Moon will square Ma, that means yes, but at a cost, and in some ways the costs always hurt. Especially in this case where Moon and Ma are not in mutual reception. In this case square represent hard work. There is problem which is not apparent and could make the problem last longer.
So, you will get that job, but at the end you will not be so happy!

Re: Job Query: Will I get this job?

Folks,
Thank you so much for your responses. I should get an e-mail from the recruiter latest by tomorrow if the interview has to happen on Tuesday. I really think do not see this happening, but i will keep you posted.

Your generous sharing has helped affirm my approach.
Best,
SR

Re: Job Query: Will I get this job?

Hi Folks,
There is some progress on my end. I have heard back from the recruiter confirming my interview schedule for tomorrow at 11:30 AM PDT. On receiving his e-mail, I asked another question:

"Will RG give me this contract?"

This question is related to the same job in discussion here, I am seeking to get it on contractual basis. Hence, my question. The chart for this horary query is posted here. My analysis follows:
  • I am Moon, Job is Jupiter (10th lord & 6th lord). Moon in applying sextile to Jupiter.
  • Moon in Fall in Scorpio, Jupiter in Fall in Capricorn. (Two drunks leading each other home )
  • Mars and Moon have mutual reception by ownership. Mars is in Cancer in fall. (Fall seems to be the theme...)
  • Mars in Ascendant...outcome should come out soon.
I will let you know what comes out of the talk tomorrow.
Many thanks for listening and sharing.

Best,
SR

Re: Job Query: Will I get this job?

Hi Saggirising

The Moon, you, is in fall and does not fall into any of the dignities of the job, Jupiter.
The job, Jupiter, falls in the detriment of the Moon. The job does not like you.

The moon is just leaving the via combusta however, so your period of 'emotional distress' is coming to an end. But, as you said, the moon is in fall.

However, the Moon is applying to sextile Jupiter, although it trines Mars first.
Is this prohibition? What does Mars signify? It's ruling the 11th, so profits from the job maybe. Mars is in the first and opposing the job. Maybe it won't pay as well as you would like, making you think twice about it?

Mercury, your thoughts and the end of the matter, is still combust in the house of job profits. Maybe the money angle is still not worked out yet.

Can't wait to hear what others think, and hear what happens?
cheers
barb

Re: Job Query: Will I get this job?

Hi All,
So here is the update from the event yesterday. The interview did not happen at the scheduled time -- very unprofessional -- I called and left a v-mail & e-mail asking to be informed if there was a change of plans. Fellow finally called about 30 minutes later, apologizing for the delay with an excuse of an overrun meeting. Then he asked to schedule the talk for afternoon at 3:00 PM. I was already turned off but anyway agreed.

We talked at scheduled time (this time he was only 5 minutes late) for about 40 minutes. Towards the end, he conveyed that he liked my background BUT would like to hire an employee rather than someone on a contractual basis. I wasn't ready for that so I clarified that I was only interested in a contract and the job that I had applied for was advertised as a contract. Clearly, there was a mis-match. At the end he left it open by saying that after the interviewing process was over, he may reconsider me if he didn't find a better fit.

So that is where it is. I will inform you all if I hear back. In the meantime, I proceed with exploring the self-employment route and hopefully have some fun along the way.

Many thanks for all your good wishes. Stay tuned!
Best,
SR

Results are in: [Job Query: Will I get this job?]

Hi Folks,
I finally received the formal "NO" for this job today. There were events since we last discussed this here. I was called in for an interview on Monday after my previous phone discussion. I "think" the issue here was contract employment versus permanent employment. I wish I knew how to distinguish between the two in horary...

Anyways, wanted to share the verdict with you. My self-employment progress looks encouraging...

Best,
SR

Re: Results are in: [Job Query: Will I get this job?]

Saggirising,
I'm sorry you didn't get the job.Good luck with your self-employment project....
In relation to your question, a contractual arrangement would be the H1 and H7 axis, whereas permanent employment (ie, employed by an employer/company) would be H1 and H10 cusps.
Hope that explains,
Best wishes,
Lillyjgc
