Endless dispositor loop thru Kite

Hi, this is my first post, prompted by Moderator wilsontc's analysis of Bob Guccione's dispositors. I thought it prudent, however, to begin a new thread.

What is the interpretation of dispositors looping infinitely through a Kite?

For example, in the attached chart, the lengthwise "spine" of the Kite is a Moon - Pluto opposition. The Grand Trine part of the kite is formed by Moon (at tapered end of kite), Neptune and Mercury.

Details of the dispositor "loop":
(1) Moon is in Pisces, so dispositor is Neptune.
(2) Neptune is in Scorpio, so dispositor is Pluto.
(3) Pluto is in Virgo, so dispositor is Mercury,
(4) Mercury is in Cancer, so dispositor is Moon.
...and so the cycle repeats.

i thought that one way "out" would be to consider Mars as the ruler of Scorpio instead of Pluto. but even so, the exit from the kite is only temporary:

(2a) Neptune is in Scorpio, so dispositor is Mars (instead of Pluto?)
(3a) Mars is in Leo, so dispositor is Sun.
(4a) Sun is in Gemini, so dispositor is Mercury
(5a) Mercury is in Cancer, so dispositor is Moon.
...which brings me back to step (1).

at first, i thought the interpretation was positive, since all the planets are in communication with each other through favorable aspects (the kite's trines and sextiles). but psychologically, i often feel like a dog chasing his tail. in any case, i'm really curious as to whether there is an accepted position on such a "dispositor loop".

thank you in advance for any guidance you can offer. i look forward to hearing back from someone who can show me the way (the way out ).

Re: Endless dispositor loop thru Kite

Thanks for the speedy reply!

actually, i re-read Wilsontc's analysis of Bob Guccione's dispositors, and now i see that there's an instruction not to repeat any dispositor relationships when pursuing the trail. so, right... if i start at the moon, i end up at the moon...the end. if i start at Neptune, i end up at Neptune. if i start at Mercury, i end up at Mercury. so, corroborating your reply, the "infinite loop" seems to be a non-issue.

i did a dispositor analysis of my entire chart (not just the kite), and the planet that most frequently ends the trail -- without looping back -- is Mercury.

START> > > .... > END
Sun > Mercury>Moon>Neptune>Pluto> Mercury
Mercury > Moon>Neptune>Pluto> Mercury
Jupiter > Uranus>Sun>Mercury>Moon>Neptune>Pluto> Mercury
Moon > Neptune>Pluto>Mercury> Moon
Mars > Sun>Mercury>Moon>Neptune> Pluto
Saturn > Saturn
Neptune > Pluto>Mercury>Moon> Neptune

...but still, it seems hugely coincidental that all four planets of the Kite neatly and nicely hand off to each other consistently in a clockwise direction around the Kite's perimeter, and for that reason, i can't help but think there is a special significance here, since astrology is all about structure and correspondence. i would love to hear opinons from other experts (i'm a novice!), especially from dispositor-expert Wilsontc, if he or she has anything to add. ;^)

thanks again!

dispositor loop, to James

Great job at getting down the dispositors. I know I wrote to "not repeat" the dispositors. What I MEANT to indicate was NOTICE that the dispositor repeats but there is no point in writing it down until you have finished looking at all the dispositor chains in the chart. As you say, if you tried to write it down it would look something like:
:38:Mercury>Moon>Neptune>Pluto>Mercury>Moon>Neptun e>Pluto>Mercury>Moon>Neptune>Pluto>Mercury>Moon>Ne ptune>Pluto>Mercury>Moon>Neptune>Pluto>Mercury>Moo n>Neptune>Pluto>... etc.! So you can't write the whole chain out (since it IS infinite), but you can notice it and include it in the final step.

So there is an interconnection between Mercury, Moon, Neptune, and Pluto...just as you originally said! And it kind of "underlines" the Kite in your chart, since it covers all the planets in the kite. As you say, you can "feel like a dog chasing his tail" with this looping of energy. However, since this underlines your KITE, and your Kite is focused on Pluto (transformation) conjunct (energy is combined with) your IC (inner world). This "looping energy" somehow "underlines" your need to transform your inner world.

In the loop,

Tim

Re: Endless dispositor loop thru Kite

That makes so much sense, astrologically and psychologically. Unfortunately, i can't really go into details in this semi-public space, but... "yes" and "I agree"!
;^)

Thanks so much for your feedback on that, and also for the compliment, Tim. I learned about dispositors and how to track them down from you, on this forum!

Tim, regarding your observation about Pluto conjunct IC...
Just for the sake of accuracy & completeness, i wanted to add that the radix i posted as my user pic is actually a Relocation Chart for my current residence, of the past five years. In my true Natal Chart, the "picture" is the same, but Pluto (focus of kite) does not conjunct my IC (due to more extreme latitude of my birthplace). It's still in Virgo, still conjunct Ascending Node (orb = approx. 4 degrees), still conjunct Pars Fortunae (orb < 6 degrees). The difference is that instead of Pluto conjunct IC, my natal chart has it in the 5th house...so a transformation in terms of creative outlets and pursuits?

I just thought i'd add that. I'm not sure what you think about relocation charts, but i'd be very interested to find out. In my particular case, they seem to reveal some interesting insights.

Thanks again!

I don't use relocated charts so, yes, the focus would be on creative, self-expressive outlets and pursuits (i.e., 5th house things).

Agreeing,

Tim
