...Saw Gary do this two weekends in a row at the "Day On the Green" in Oakland back in '76... Each time it opened up with the most kickin', and extended, FUNKY & Pumpin' Bass riff/line I've ever had heard then or ever again...
...still gives me the shakes when I think about it...

On a side note....anyone know any good astrology programs/apps for Iphone?
I put an app on the other day called Pocket Universe. Great astronomy app, but not an astrology app.
It has a compass, point your Iphone at a star in the sky and it will name the star, give info, etc.
I've never put music on my phone so that's next....when I get time.

I grew up in L.A., Tujunga* to be exact, although I was conceived and raised in Hollywood until I was 10. Hollywood was a nice place until the mid 1960s 
*[no that's not a Spanish name...it's a phonetic spelling of the local Native Americans' {the Gabrielinos} name for the place...it means 'Old woman by the well', or something like that.] I haven't been back to L.A. since 1991...I haven't been in downtown L.A. since 1984 or '85. This is probably the best way to visit, and it saves hella money on gas.

Back in the '60s-'70s there was a 'cat' named Stevens...that wrote and performed some pretty dang fine music...then He got 'Religion' and that 'Religion' didn't allow that cat to do it any longer [I forget the details...but he did eventually come back...though by then, not too may people gave a **** any longer]
