Uranus on Asc...

Contemporary explanations of Uranus transiting one's ascendant abound. However, I also like to weigh traditional meanings into my predictions and -- I guess as Uranus was discovered after the classical age of astrology -- I'm having a difficult time finding these. The obvious example would be Ur=Ma... accident (traditionally) but contemporary explanations say "explosive energies" (that could lead to an accident?). I have prediceted accidents correctly several times under such transits.

I have stated elsewhere on here that when I had progressed Ur and Asc conjunct, my ex divorced me quite suddenly (not the worst thing that ever happened).

My question is: What would be a "traditional" definition of Ur=Asc? I would venture "being drastically blindsided on a personal level." What are your thoughts? I appreciate all input.

The problem with Uranus conjuctions is that Uranus moves so slowly. Uranus was conjunct my DC May 2, 2005, July 28, 2005 and Feb. 16, 2006. I've always found it impossible to time things by the outers transiting the inners, although people who are good at prediction can probably use quicker transits to "time" the larger effect of Uranus.

I've been much more aware of Mars transits, which are either over and done with quickly, or they hit three times, as is happening to many of us right now!

I used the equal sign instead of writing out conjunct, as in a planetary picture. I rather agree with you on the Ur being much more like Me than Ma.

Yeah, Gaer, that IS the problem with the outers.... But I have found Ur hits hard and suddenly... whenever it is... while Neptune's and Pluto's effects seem to develop during the whole of the transit (Rx) period.
