the yod
Hi,
In my birth chart chiron is in aries with 21 deg.7' 7'' and moon is in virgo with 17 deg.36' 8'' and venus is in scorpio with 17 deg.23' 33''
Can we truly say that these planets form a "yod" or are these orbits deceitful ?
Thank you.
Regards

Re: the yod
Well wrangler74 I personally dont think its a yod technically because while the moon and venus ARE exactly sextile (nice!) the orb for chiron is 4 deg...too much for chiron which isn't a planet as such.
Were I analysing the natal chart that had this configuration though, I would certainly see that chiron cant *see* venus or the moon because of the quincunxes involved there...though wide an effect wouls still be there I think...as chiron refers to *wounds* I'd be looking at female relationships in your life, and depending on the houses and signs involved you might see *issues* that concern those houses...Say, if house six was involved, health matters could arise from the *yod*...How do you feel it plays out in your life? Was chiron retrograde at the time, thus coming back toward the perfection of the yod? or moving away from it...?These factors all would come into play I think...

Re: the yod
Hi lillyjgc,
Thank you for your kind reply.
I will attach my birth chart.
As you can also see, chiron is retrograde in the chart and it is partly true that, I do not get along very well with my sex, females, but on the contrary, I am much more better with opposite sex, males.
I will be happy if I get further comments about this issue.

Re: the yod
Hello Wrangler, as you wrote that you would like further comments about this issue, I could maybe add something to Lillyjgc's comment.
I agree with her that there is no YOD between those three planets because of the too wide orb of Chiron to the other two. You should however take Chiron in account when looking at other aspects like the square to Saturn and the exact sextile to the Ascendant!! as well as the opposition to Mercury in the 8th. As Chiron is situated in the 2nd, it could show painful issues ("wounds") in connection with your selfworth which could be traced back to your childhood (opposition to Mercury, ruler of the 4th).
I see that the chart shows an opposition from Jupiter, your intercepted co-ruler to the Moon. Personally I find this opposition a bit too wide because the Moon is outgoing and the orb is already almost 10°, the maximum for an opposition.Still, in your case, the Moon-Jupiter opposition could show your problems with other women and even more so because the ruler of the Moon is Mercury who receives that opposition from Chiron. There we find that pain again. The chart is badly drawn. Mercury is shown as making a trine to Jupiter which is not the case, it trines the Ascendant. Mercury squares Saturn and conjuncts Uranus, your Ascendant ruler (which happens to be in a critical degree, 29°). This all relates to your feelings of inadequacy, through a female person who most probably extremely (Uranus) restricted (Saturn) you and took your confidence away. What could also make you very frustrated is that Jupiter as well as your Moon are both intercepted, not allowing the expansive qualities (and necessities!!) to be expressed, nor your emotions. That female person must have been very critical (Moon in Virgo) and made you into someone who is extremely self critical because of that.
The 8th house is a house of selftransformation through crisis in the life and you will have to deal with those issues frequently because the ruler of the 8th, Venus is conjunct your Sun (and not conjunct Mars, as is indicated in the chart. That orb is way too wide for a conjunction). Ruler of your Sun is again placed in the 8th. So a lot of quite traumatic experiences are indicated here, all from childhood. (ruler of Asc., ruler of Sun, ruler of Moon and ruler of the 4th house, all situated in the 8th house!). Plus Venus and Sun in Scorpio, the 8th sign. We can even count Pluto as being in the 8th house.
You must have enormous interest in the occult, astrology, life and death situation, transformation, psychology, deepsea diving as a sport, anything to do with the 8th house.
I must go now, just wanted to give you some insight. Cheers, Starlink

I disagree with some of the others, I do think it forms a Yod and a very powerful one.
Your Moon is in an intercepted sign in Virgo, in the 7th house. There is a strong emphasis in emotions in your intimate relationships, but the female side of the personality cannot find expression. The 4th house, which the Moon traditionally rules, is intercepted in Gemini, and its ruler Mercury is in a square to Saturn. Saturn is in the 5th, putting a limiting influence on romance and fun, but close to the 6th, which affects the health to some extent as well (emotional issues may manifest as health problems).
The apex of the Yod is Chiron at 21 degrees Aries in the 2nd house. The trigger point of the Yod is directly opposite at 22 degrees Libra. The 2nd house reflects your values, whats important to you, what provides security and your notions of love. Venus is part of the Yod, in the 9th, and the Moon is in the 7th. Venus rules the 2nd and our values, while the Moon rules the female side and emotional expression. Chiron in the 2nd shows that childhood events deeply affected your view of personal values, and with the quincunx to Venus in the 9th, your deeply held beliefs of those values are continually being challenged. Deep down you know what values are good and correct, but you are unable to find a positive avenue of expression of that love and values to the female element in your life, because past events have distorted what you think is the likely outcome of those expressions.
The 7th house cusp is in Leo, and the Sun is well aspected with the conjunct to Venus and trine Jupiter and Saturn. You know how to have fun with everyone and treat romance as a fun game, and seek someone who is the same, which is great. But eventually the females in your life will only see you as a fun friend and never an emotional foundation they can work with and depend on, which they deeply need. The Moon is opposite Jupiter, and both are square Neptune and the Node. This is an important life lesson - find a balance between being a friend to those you love or are interested in, and also to being a reliable source of love, security, and stability. No one is really sure where you are emotionally, or whether you are emotionally invested in the relationship. They only know you are a "friend", and friends can be easily replaced. You'll have to find new ways of relating to others on an emotional level, open yourself up, let them know how you feel, whats important and valuable to you, and you do the same for them.
Next year the transiting Node will be trine this important trigger point, so someone will come into your life at that time which will help you with this issue. Pay attention when it happens.
