Help with Kepler - How to set up for Horary?

How exactly do I set up Kepler 7.0 for use with Horary? I am mainly looking for a way to remove unused planets. I've searched through the settings what what not, but cannot find anything.

Are there any other settings I should setup also?

Re: Help with Kepler - How to set up for Horary?

I have Kepler and I also find setting up some things very difficult. For that, I also use Astrolog, which is free and downloadable off the internet. It's a great great program and I've been using it for years. It's freeware, and the author only asks that you don't try and sell it and don't sell charts using his software. Making those toggles youre taking about is a snap. Try it out. It's not as pretty as Kepler and not really printable, but its versatility can't be beat.

Thank you very much. Seems to a bit of a pain to find software specifically for horary, or any that will suit it.

Re: Help with Kepler - How to set up for Horary?

Jesterdev, I use astro22V6. On that program you can include or exclude any planets you like, adjust the orbs and there is now an update for the nocturnal charting of pars fortuna.
Usually though I just leave all the planets in for horary-its up to you as youre reading the chart to decide which ones are playing a role.
Most horary is done using regiomontanus cusps, and most programs allow a choice of house systems (astro22 does).
astrodienst produces a horary chart option that is readily accessible to this forum.
Hope that helps, Lillyjgc.
Ps I had Kepler 7 program but found it too hard to use.

In Kepler right click the mouse. This gives you a list of wheel types standard or special. At the bottom you will see a button that reads "customize". Left click this. This will display a list of points to add or remove from your wheel. Click on the list of planets at the bottom and you will see a list of planets, and you can remove those you do not want.

One thing I REALLY love about astrolog is how easy you can advance or reverse the chart in time, by minutes, days, years, centuries, etc. When I'm looking for long term aspects and stuff you can advance it with the keypad and move it all around. Toggle off the planets you don't want to see, and then move it around and see all the aspects instantly. I wish Kepler could do that.
