Lost Wedding rings
Okay I am really upset that my rings are missing. I lost them August of last year and have continued searching as I think of new places they might be. There was a second piece to the set which was just a thin band that went with the diamond ring. I have continued now for the last year looking every place I can think of and have not been able to find them. They were originally sitting on my desk with a pair of gold earrings inside them. My earrings were exactly where I left them but my ring was missing I thought if they were on the floor I might find them eventually-but then my godmother came over one day and trying to be helpful vaccumed the floor, then emptied the container and took out the trash before I had a chance to sift through things. I am now wondering if I should give up or if there's hope they will be found. So my question is:
Will I ever ever find my rings? Did my daughter have something to do with their disapearance?

Nah, just maybe lost in the shuffle. That happens sometimes on here. I know you posted the info, too, but your chart has expired. It seems that questions get alot more responses when a chart has been posted. I have recently found that you can copy and paste the entire chart from Astrodienst, if you begin at the top box, where the print is. It's nice and big that way - hard to miss.

Well, your chart posted wonderfully. If you're asking me to interpret your chart... well, uh.. I can take a stab at it - point out some obvious things, but it would take a more experienced horary astrologer than I to get anything concrete from it.
My take is this:
You are signfied by the Moon - and so are the wedding rings. The Moon is at 24* Gemini in the 12th. Gemini rules arms and hands, I believe, and also things that are "two" - so this would seem appropriate for the rings. I'm not sure whether the 12th house is a good sign of recovery or not. However, I would think it is significant that you share the same significator - possibly the rings are still "with you" in some way.
The Moon is in exact opposition to the ruler of the 6th, which is in the 6th. The 6th house rules everyday work and service - possibly house-cleaning?
Some say that the opposition means that the two will separate, while others say that it is a chance for the two to be brought together. The last aspect the Moon makes before it leaves its sign is an opposition to Pluto.
The end of the matter is Mercury, which is in Scorpio in the 5th. Mercury is also the dispositor of the Moon in Gemini. I would take a guess that that might have something to do with your child. Being in Scorpio, maybe swiped it and hid it someplace.
I keep thinking of a similar incident when my youngest was about 1 1/2 or 2 - able to get around well. I received a pair of earrings as a gift for Christmas one year. We opened the gifts up on Christmas morning. When I took all my gifts back to my room, the earrings were missing. A careful search through all the torn packaging and wrapping turned up nothing. About a year or two after that, we were rearranging the furniture in her room. When we moved her toy chest, Voila! - there were the earrings! They had been dropped behind it probably that Christmas morning.
Another incident with my oldest daughter.... I had a set of 3 brass camels in varying sizes that had great sentimental value to me. The smallest disappeared one day. My daughter was maybe 1, or a little younger. I thought it was gone for good. But 6 years later, I was getting the baby clothes out that I had packed away when my oldest was one (for my youngest daughter, who was now in that size) When I opened up the box- Voila! There was the camel. I had had the box open for some time while I was packing, and I guess she just dropped it in!
My point, in a nutshell, is that kids do the darndest things!
I understand that the Part of Fortune is very handy in horaries for lost objects. It was left out of the chart you posted.
Best of luck! I hope the more experienced horarists will pick up on this thread now.

Re: Lost Wedding rings
Thanks Freedomlover! I would have some serious apologizing to do if it really did turn out my darling child had anything to do with the missing rings (at least my engagment piece anyway) She had a really bad habit for the first year and a half of her life of taking and hiding things. One day I had bought her five outfits and couldn't find them anywhere. As it so happened I glanced into a statue that I made when I was in college (it was a hollow bust of a woman) and found not only all the clothes I had just bought, but some missing diapers as well.
I am trying to learn how to read my natal chart (think I might be coming along fairly well with that) but also the horaries (sadly I lose my keys every other day and my ID for that matter) so I was wondering if I was looking in the right place to begin an accurate reading. However reading what you wrote, I was nowhere close.
Hmmm, So the cleaning my Godmother did?? I'm thinking maybe that could be referenced when you say house cleaning? I was reading another site that said the 12th house represented a bedroom possibly? Is this true? That's where one of the pieces of my ring was last when I saw it (in the window, i've not seen it since and resorted to wearing only my engagment ring).
Concerning the part of fortune, how do I create a chart with that included? Thank you for your help! I know so many questions but i'm a girl who likes to know

Natal and horary work very differently. I'm only in the beginning stages of learning horary - but I know significators fairly well - just not the complexities of who receives what in term/face, etc....

That is a possibility. I don't know about the 12th house indications. I'm really hoping a more experienced horary astrology will see this thread and respond.

THAT I can help you with! On the Astrodienst site, select "Extended Chart Selection". In the bottom left hand corner is an upright rectangular box. The first selection in it is "Pars Fortunae" - the "official" name for the Part of Fortune. There is also the Vertex (Point of fate), and many asteroids, etc in there.
One other note, hoping that others will comment if it is significant (so I can learn, too): I noticed the ruler of the intercepted 5th house containing the ruler of the end of the matter (Mercury in Scorpio) is Mars(r) - and is conjunct the ASC, disposited by the Moon in Gemini.
Good luck, Eriagny!

Re: Lost Wedding rings
Eriagny,
You don't happen to remember the day and time that the rings were found missing, do you? An event chart might be pretty telling, as well.

Re: Lost Wedding rings
Hmmm, I'm gonna have to think about that one. But I think the chart I put up was an event chart. At least that's what it keeps defaulting to when I do the chart.

Only if you lost them on November 25, 2007 at 6:40pm. Didn't you say they'd been missing for a long time. You probably wouldn't remember the time with any degree of accuracy unless you either have the memory of an elephant, or there was something else to make the day signifcant so it stood out.
By the way, your chart expired. I know, I'm the one who told you to do it that way - sorry. I just found out they expired when done this way, when I was alerted that one of mine had expired. Somewhere in this forum, there are some threads on how to properly post a link to the chart.

Re: Lost Wedding rings
Okay, I put the other part of the chart you mentioned (regarding the fortune) I'm not sure if it actually contained the new info. I had one other question. You said i'm represented by the moon. How did you determine I was represented by the moon? (again still learning). Am I not represented by the ascendent which is Cancer? Oh I think I get it. The moon rules Cancer correct? Slowly catching on....

Re: Lost Wedding rings
Eriagny,
The chart shows you are ruled by cancer (as its on the ascendant)..
Mars is there in your first house, describing what you are doing... Mars is RETROGRADE...which means its appearing to move backwards, going back looking (in this case) for your possession- your rings.
Your possessions are usually ruled by the cusp of the second house- in this case, as Freedom said, you and your rings are both ruled by the moon.
Now we must look at the moon? What is the moon doing? Where is it?
Its in the 12th house, as you've noted- the house of secret sorrows. This house is ruled by Mercury (are the rings silver or gold, I must ask at this point?)
The moon is also in the sign of Gemini- And gemini is ruled by mercury...your feelings are very much focussed on finding the rings.
The ruler of the house that the possession is *in* is very important. That ruler is in house 5- the house that does indeed rule *your children*, or child.
Mercury is in scorpio at 21 degrees.
Mercury ruling the house in which the significator of the lost object, the moon, resides, tellls us that the rings might be near books, telephones, or may even have gone on a short trip....in the neighbourhood or community.Mercury in scorpio suggests they are hidden in a scorpionic place, dark and in a place your child would frequent.
The ruler of the keys , mercury, makes no aspect to your ruler the moon which is an unfortunate indication.
The moon applies an opposition though to jupiter which means *no luck* in this case. After that the moon will oppose pluto....another negative indication.
Pars fortuna, an indicator used in horary a lot, is in your sixth house of daily affairs. It will conjunct pluto and jupiter but while they are vbeing OPPOSED by the moon....so pars won't be able to help you much I'm afraid.
For a good result you need a positive aspect between the ruler of you, and the ruler of the lost object. The moon makes no positive aspects here, and its placement in the 12th is also another contra-indication.
I would say there is indeed a strong possibility that the rings WERE thrown out...I can see no link between your partner (h7 cusp) and the ruler of your rings so i think he had nothing to do with it.
On the cusp of house 5, the house that rules your child, is venus....A woman entering your childs house....Venus is trine NEPTUNE...in the eighth house....suggestive of a woman absent-mindedly or unwittingly placing the rings in the garbage-house 8.The matter is in the past, as the moon did trine venus about 5 degrees ago....
On the chart it may look as though mars and mercury are trine (finding the rings) but mars is going away from that trine...mars and venus are heading in different directions...IE NOT finding the rings.
As the moon is a few minutes away from being *void of course* nothing will come of your search...
I'm very sorry you have lost them.
(and *I hope* I'm wrong)...If you find them will you please let us know? Noting the time they turn up would be invaluable.(if they do)...
Best wishes, Lillyjgc

My rings were silver-this would have been indicated by Mercury, one of who's colors is silver right? (said for learning purposes, saw this on another website.)

I did make another search after Freedom's help but found nothing.

This is VERY much true. I have thought about those rings every single day since I lost them-well apparently since my baby girl swiped them. The circumstances surrounding their disappearance has always been a source of unrest for me.
I will definitely let you know if the rings turn up. But for now I'm thinking I will give up the search and focus on talking my husband into buying me another one I will also check out the site you suggested.
