What's with all the cat lovers here?

So I'm pretty new here, but I noticed quite a few members here love cats. I love them too. Do you think there's some connection between cats and astrology, maybe something about their character and lifestyle corresponds with the personality types that are drawn to astrology, or is it just a coincidence?

I don't believe in coincidences. I think that we cat's lovers are just more attuned to a certain kind of energies....just like cats.

I don't think loving cats means not loving dogs, although personally I do prefer cats.

I too am a cat lover, his name is rusty...
They are so elegant...their eyes are mysterious...they sleep in the most strangest positions (I get jealous when I get to go to work and he is there sleeping coiled up on the couch)...and he is always by my side (sleeping anyhow) wherever I am in the house...
I am an animal lover all the way anyhow...I am just allergic to dogs or else I would have tons and tons....

Absolutely. I love dogs too. I just relate to cats better than to any other animal, including humans

Hi folks! I'm bi-animal...(would it show in my chart??!) I love cats AND dogs.
Virgo is strong in my chart (moon and MC)...Virgo rules small animals, mercury rules astrology..(apparently!) so therefore there may be a direct relationship to the prominence of mercury or virgo in the charts of astrologers and animal lovers. Just a thought...Lillyjgc

I've just gone to this post and saw the cute cats. I can't help but smile seeing those pics.

I love cats really and I don't think they have connection with astrology. It's a matter of being happy being with them, I guess.

Cats are said to have some sort of association with esoterism and to be able to see/feel subtle energies.
They are also known to have 9 lives, which I think that is possibly related to the symbolism of Scorpio of death and rebirth. As Scorpio is the 8th sign, cats also resurrect 8 times from the dead.

I think that scorpio rising has something to do with my love for cats. I cannot see quite clearly the connection but something tells me that my moon in cancer has a lot to do with it too... I would like to have an insight about that placement!

Man, i like sparta Carole.....they have a funny life together....i mean, the sink!

I love cats, i wish i had one, but i also like living in the bush and cats kill animals.......snakes and goannas can kill cats......and that would be too sad.....

If we ever move, i will get my son a cat.....he is scared of dogs but loves cats.

The thing i like about cats rather than dogs, is that dogs will take ****.....they will do anything to please their owners......cats on the other hand.......they are too independant.
I live in a shared house in london, and two doors down the neighbours had a black cat. The two kids that lived there, were forever in the backyard trying to make the cat stay where they wanted it to stay.....after a while the cat got jack of that and started coming down to our kitchen window, where he would rub his body walking back and forth.....we never fed the cat, but he wouldnt go home. Anyway eventually the mother of the kids came down and asked us if we wanted the cat, it was only coming back for food and she was actually scared the cat would eventually really hurt her kids cos they were so rough with it.
So we kept him and named him Dryfuss. we had about 12 people living in that house and dryfuss had a special conection with all of us, but was still a real independant cat. He would be real loving in the morning while everyone got ready for work or whatever, until he got food and then would cruise for the day......most of us would sit and watch the simpsons at night and dryfuss would make sure he was there getting patted and loved..... he would take it in turns of who's end of bed he would sleep on each night....he knew that we ALL loved him and he fitted in like one of the flatmates,,,never played favourites!
Man he was the best cat......... I miss Dryfuss since i left London......he is now in the home of the only couple that stayed there.....(the rest of us went back to our home countries) LONG LIVE DRYFUSS

Ohhh, yes! That kitty Sparta is really something! My Sweetie looks exactly like him. That's why I liked that video so much!! I was wondering if Sparta is not a "she" since I have been told that only females have more than two colours in their furs.

I, too, am a cat lover and have 2 of them (little devils that they are!) and feed the strays in the area. I basicallyt like most animals (possums and squirrels are BIG exceptions).

Small pets: 6th house (mine is Libra with Neptune the only occupant)... Beyond that... What?

I have a big Tom.....never see him though......I live in a place where they go where they like and thats alright, and they'll be fine....sometimes I dont see him for days...he's tame, just likes to ramble...and he's huge!! Massive!! like a big battle cat..not all chubby or something.....I like him but he is loud as hell...if he's in the house he will wake everyone up if he wants something...his meow is booming.
One thing that I have always thought was odd...is I will be in the house reading a book...all quiet...and if he's outside and wants in he will go directly to the room I am in in the house and meow outside the window...or jump up on it to let me know....I cant figure just HOW he knows what room I am in....I can be in the basement, all lights off, no sound....he knows...and you hear....MEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWW....just loud.(laugh)
He wont stop till he gets what he wants....Greedy Creatures..Laugh....but I like em anyway......

I heard they are partially on the astral plane.....like they are on the border....the fringes of material reality......I know a guy that can see auras as well and he says its funny...a cats aura is twice the size of its body....he also sees cats running around everywhere that arn't "real" cats.....just like energy cats.......so if your cats sitting in the corner purring ...chilling...he might just really be running around the neighborhood.

Anyone ever head the story of the cat that knows when people are going to die....it was in some newspaper a while back.....something about how the cat would go up to the dieing persons bed and hop on their lap right before they died....it was in some hospital or old folks home....and the cat had chilling accuracy....Wish I had a link for it.

I have stolen my neighbour's cat, or to be more correct the cat adopted me.
Every cat I have ever had picked me.
Anyway I've had the neighbours cat for around 6 weeks now and I almost ready to stop whispering the cats name when I go outside, as I'm slightly ashamed at myself for poaching their cat.

*guilty* I'm a cat lover as well. I used to have a cat, until my dad became allergic to her. I was heartbroken. Cats probably have that unique thing of going against rules that also makes a lot of astrologers have Uranian trademarks, is my thought about it.

I love the way they seem to taunt you, never seem to be obedient, but can display the most honest form of affection by surprise. Yeah, I want another cat soon! A cat's reluctance but connection to a person is something to be truly admired.
