Hmm... thanks so much Lin. Your comments have really resonated with me,
and instigated a new way of looking at my chart , which is very precious to me.

The key here was rethinking my body/health issues in the context of Uranus. I have long RSI issues, and lately my mode of transportation (I'm a bicycle commuter/lifestyler in the USA) has taken a hit. The torn latissimus (dang that power yoga) and broken clavicle (dang those ditches,12/06) have added up to a time of trouble and pain in my shoulders. Interesting to contextualize those in terms of Uranus' impinging on the motion of the body.
They do intersect with career... principally in my mode of work (in the physicist's definition, my force across distance) is pushing that mouse and the migration of discipline from my academic training to my career.

I've found that I'm a very trusting person overall, and after the Saturn return of '05, I'm centered in the knowledge that it yields a certain kind of emotional gullibility. I've learned to harness my intuition in terms of 'street smarts' (as well in career), but with the ladies I'm still very fallible. I've noticed that my moon seems to play a big part in that dynamic... the 5/18/07 conjunct of full moon and venus worked me; I ended up involved with a woman (Sun in Soc) who proved to be less than direct. Ah, Scorpio. The whole process has refocused my attention on the intercepted Scorpio in my natal chart; the fifth house Sco (exalted) position of Uranus and my North Node. Kind of tough to get excited about the phoenix when I'm still aching from (what I perceive) as the sting. But I may be not seeing it, right? That's what delusion is...
Upon learning Uranus, I want to reiterate my thanks for pointing me in that direction. Uranus does seem to play a more prominent role in my natal chart than I had expected, and it does give a context to that 'almost-too-much-to-bear' feeling, or jitteriness that has been a big part of my frequency for a while now. I'll reflect carefully on the question of impulsiveness, and how it relates to Neptunian delusion.
The timing you have identified also brings to my mind the transit of Uranus over my MC(in Pisces) roughly as the square Moon-Mars is concluded. Once again, the link you have elucidated between my flow and Neptune seems important. Once again, the overlap & interaction between the lightning insight of Uranus and the emotional/psychic dissolving of Neptune seems prominent.
I feel, now that I'm getting a little distance from that last direct hit of Neptune in May/June, that the degree to which I'm totally dissolved from the physical world in my worldview absolutely makes sense within the power of Neptune. I've been floating in world of symbols. I'm making progress with Rudhyar's "Astrology of Personality" and much of his thesis about the union of logical mind and emotional mind in the realm of consistent and assiduous symbology of the inside/outside totally resonates for me. But, I'm an engineer, and social, trusting and extroverted (for an Aquarian with a 12th house Gemini moon) and I have a sinking suspicion that all my colleagues think I'm eccentric to say the least. I'm amazed by how many scientists reject Astrology without even the barest consideration of applying the Method to something for which we may not have sensors yet, much less an idea of the particle/waves involved...

Starlink recently pointed me towards solar arc progression (a technique I am ignorant of as of yet) in terms of synchronous action in the next year and a bit. When I look at my next solar returns, the Venus returns which predates it by a few days seems prominent as well. The astrologer I work with (did my first natal reading in April, and now my teacher) pointed to around that time (1/08) as auspicious for romantic relationship. I have no idea what my mind worked like before I started studying Astrology (even that short five months ago). Maybe that's the "what the hell happened?" feeling.
So - thanks so much Lin and starlink. Deeply grateful for your time and thoughts. I'm learning alot.
