If you could arrange, which signs you would you like your baby to be ? or which ones not ?
I'm married and we try to have a baby. The most important is that she/he's healty. But, I have some prejudgements for some signs. I'd like that she/he becomes a taurus, aries... but not "..."

Re: Which sign your baby would you like to be ?
Well I agree to sort of let nature take its course...
But this could be fun...
I would like an Aries child, with some Aquarius in the mix....I love aries because they have such strong amazing personalities...and I love the aquarian ways because they are a little off-beat and interesting I think the mix would be balanced, but yet you would have to battle a head-strong individual so I would add a mutable sign in the mix....
Not sure how to plan out that one!!!

Re: Which sign your baby would you like to be ?
I found this post funny in a personal way... because when my little one was due in 2005 (due on 1/17), I thought I wanted to keep her in there a while longer, and was checking the "cosmic weather" and thought that the 21st would be lovely. I thought an Aquarius with a Gemini moon or some such (as I foggily recall) would be much more compatible with me than a Capricorn (most of my inner planets are in Aries). What fun.
She decided to stay in there a while longer of her own volition.... and no matter how much I walked, exercised, and tried to will her out into the world with every folk-tale remedy I knew, she didn't come out until the 27th of January... her half-brother's birthday. I just don't think we have any decision in these matters, and the powers that be taught me a powerful lesson indeed! (and alas, she was born with many planets in Cap anyway, and is the most practical little girl I have ever met. LOL!)

Re: Which sign your baby would you like to be ?
I'd like: Sagittarius, Pisces, or Libra. My ascendant is in Pisces and my fiancee's sun sign is Pisces too, so I'd be happy if my child carried part of the Pisces spirit. A strong Libra presence in the chart would make the baby, in my opinion (due to the my own Libran nature and the interests associated with it) a great companion, it would give me a new best friend.
Sagittarius just kicks ***. It's a sign I lack, yet the one that I strive for.
I wouldn't want: Capricorn or Aries, my mom's and dad's sign respectively. Capricorn would drive me crazy, don't take me wrong I get along perfectly with Capricorns but they are too determined, and productive! That's not a bad thing at all. But they are always up to something, and stressed out! I'm a very laid back person, so I think it wouldn't work. I don't tend to get along well with Aries, unless there's a Taurean influence to them. Two men that are very close to me are born in April 20 & 21, so they are pretty much half Taurus!

Re: Which sign your baby would you like to be ?
Like Steph said I'd like to "wing" it. I would like to have a less emotional sign though, just because I'm not great with dealing with emotions (sad or angry ones that is) so having a Gemini, Aquarius, or Libra would be nice, but again I'd love to have them be any sign.

Re: Which sign your baby would you like to be ?
I think now I would rather it be based on aspects...signs themselves are not as important to me as the aspects now that I have some increased understanding of the meanings of aspects...
Thanks Aqua! I agree emotions for me are hard to deal with, on a rational note because that is what we aquarian, gemini, virgo people love to do, rationalize the emotions...
Seriously I can spend days ruminating over something that has really bothered me, taking the time to sort everything out and then talk about it...only to find out the others involved have already moved on and think I am crazy because it was long gone to them the same day they said something to offend me, my timing is always off.....

Aquarius as its opposite my Leo stellium.
Polarity Opposites of signs tend to reflect & balance although there could be projection but more likely if it was Aries Libra perhaps

Re: Which sign your baby would you like to be ?
Both of my kids came out two days late. With my son it was fine as he got a nice Libra Moon to go with his Taurus Sun; with my daughter I was praying that she came out earlier in the day rather than later as I would rather have had a Leo moon child than a Virgo moon child...as it is, she came out with a Leo moon, but directly opposed to Uranus! So in some ways I got more than I bargained for...

Re: Which sign your baby would you like to be ?
Seeing as that I'm a Cancer, my hubby is a Sag, and our children are Leo and Aries.. I would LOVE a Virgo!!!! I tell them all the time you might be fire, but I'll put ya all out!!! I wouldn't want any air to fuel the fire, but I do like Aquarius and Libra, but not Gemini!! And I couldn't handle a Pisces, but a Scorp might be ok. No Tauruses... or Cappy's. Most of my ex's were Taurus and my mom and hubby's mom are both Cappy's!

I would want a Sag, like me. I think we could have some crazy (but good) father-son/daughter adventures. I would want a child that could keep up with me. :P Haha.

I think having a kid with either an Aquarius, Scorpio or Capricorn ascendant would be fun, but my kid(s) will be great regardless.

Geez AG, what is wrong with a virgo moon, I dont get it I have read and re-read the post, made several lists of why it is good and bad to have a virgo moon, my nerves are shot, I have critically calculated the positives against the bad, and analyzed them all....I will now go sit in a corner and cry as I am so overly critical of myself....
I wish I did not have a virgo moon either!!! Man it is tough! Where are the emotions? they are too lost in all of the calculation of it all!

Re: Which sign your baby would you like to be ?
I'd like something with maybe a tau moon because then the child's mum (ie me) will be exalted. Also the child must have an airy sun (or aries sun). Mercury has to be at least trined by jupiter/uranus. The rising has to be fire so they can be good looking

Re: Which sign your baby would you like to be ?
I am very sure I will get a Cancer baby. I have Moon in Cancer in 4th and Cancer also in 5th house. So if not a cancer baby, then very cancerian at least. And that would be fine by me. Any sign would be okey, cause obviously it is not all about the sign.
But for me, very hard would be all the air signs, cause I am mostly water-earth -myself and I have hard time getting along with air signs.

Re: Which sign your baby would you like to be ?
My daughter's a Libra. I have to put out clothes for her to wear, otherwise she spends AGES finding an outfit. She also has Pisces rising, so she dithers...a lot.. She's six.

LOL! Well, yes, exactly. And for a poor Sagittarius, this is enough to make me prematurely grey. Virgo moons are wonderful if you want things done just right...but I have an Aries moon, so Leo was a better match.

You're playing with fire here ! When a child chooses you as a parent, you're messing with their karma and life experience which they've come in to fulfill, as well as going back hundreds of years in your family line.
It is profoundly intelligent in an evolutionary sense. Please trust that .
To have pre-conceived (pun intended) notions about a sign and plan it that way severely limits your understanding of the beauty and profundity of what any sign (including the ones you think are great and vice-versa). You can have a sun sign you like and have the end result look like a train wreck when the child arrives! You could have an IQ of 300 and mess it up badly.
Sylvester Stallone and his wife did exactly what you're suggesting and the end result was a severely disabled child! But it was a Taurus just like they'd planned.

Re: Which sign your baby would you like to be ?
In an ideal world, the only child that could cope with the endless stream of facts his Gemini dad would throw is a Gemini child!! Not sure how child's Taurean mum would cope with another Gemini though!!!!
The only alternative from my point of view would be an Aquarian child, but my Taurean would find that even worse I think!!!!
Perhaps the ideal would be a Virgo child.....that Mercury intellect for me, and the Earth-sign energies for my Taurean to cope with.
I think all the practicality would drive me nuts though!

Re: Which sign your baby would you like to be ?
Well,this is fun!
I would like my baby to have a Water Sun(inner me is sensitive and intuitibe)and a Fire Moon(spontaneous, instintive me is easy going and full of life).I would love a Cancer with a Sag Moon, maybe Venus in Leo so they can be flirty and have lots of success with the opposite sex And I would like Mercury in Gemini too. With Venus conjunct Jupiter trining their Moon, maybe Leo rising too so they could get a nice Venus/Jupiter/Ascendant conjunction
What I wouldn't like...Lots of Uranus squares/oppositions.I know the trouble and pain they cause, wouldn't want a kid going through the same things I did!And not many heavy Saturn placements too-just a little sextile here and there to keep their heads where they should be.And no Pisces Sun please. We're too much drama!

Harsh much?
In the end you can only choose for sun sign and occasionally not even that...
The fates will have their say and I don't think that aiming for a given sun sign is asking for a child with severe disabilities. It isn't any more unreasonable than wanting a winter baby or a spring baby, the whole thread is mental doodling anyway.

I have long envied the virgo neat writing, the straight dark brown hair they have, but a sagg personality would be great. Some good old scorpio in the ascendant and sun for sheer good looks and sex appeal. Not a jot of leo please, or aquarius, not really sure what else, but the above is my basic good person..

I don't care what sign as long as it's not a water sign.

This brings up something of a theory of mine that I often don't mention because some people take offence to it for some reason. But I kinda think that it's not necessarily the birth that matters, but the conception.
Astrology has been around for thousands of years. There was never really a way to determine time of conception so it makes sense that they would use the birth as a reference point instead. For centuries people attributed the tides and the difference in people's behavior on a full moon to magic or some sort of god. We now know that it is in fact the magnetic pull between the moon and the earth that causes them. Just as it was back then, today's 'occult' is tomorrow's science. And the moon's influence on conception and child-birth is well documented. This is just the first link I found but there are many- http://ezinearticles.com/?The-Moons-...birth&id=70253
Just as the moon affects us, apparently so does the sun. A few years ago it was discovered that fetuses in the womb respond to solar flare activity on the sun's surface! Who's to say that the personality traits attributed to the signs are not a direct result of energies such as magnetic activity etc.. from the planets which effect the development of our nervous systems and brain while we are in the womb? I believe that just as the magic of the tides became the science of the moon, the magic attributed to the rest of the planets will some day have logical explanations to them as well. Doesn't that make more sense than the assumption that the baby has no personality traits until the second it's out of the womb?
Of coarse it's also possible that the moon's affect on labor, may cause drastic changes in the fetus as well. If so it would make more sense that a personality is 'made' within only hours of the birth. Otherwise I'm more likely to think that you can't really choose the kind of baby you're going to have by the birth- only by the time you choose to conceive.

LOL. I feel the same way.
Oops I forgot to answer. My dream child would be an Aries born in the year of the fire dragon. But I wouldn't want their venus to be in aries. If I had to go for a water sign I'd go for scorpio. I think they tend to be the most logical of the water signs. But I'd rather go for a scorpio than a taurus. NO TAURUS'S!

Sylvester Stallone has professional astrologers in his family so it is likely that he tried this with all of his 5 children. One of them is autistic and that is hardly what I would call severely disabled. Autism is a pretty common birth disorder and it occurs much more often in babies who were not on any astrological plan. I think it was just a coincidence.
I actually don't think it's a bad idea. Certain signs relate better with one another and it could create a warmer more supportive relationship between parent/child. The only thing is that whenever you create preconceptions about the child you want- astrologically or otherwise- you MUST be fully prepared and open to love and accept the child that you actually get. My dad really expected me to be a boy and really wanted a boy. He was very disappointed and somewhat angry at me even when I came out instead. Needless to say growing up with him was less than fun for me. Much more fun for my brother.
Ooops. Somehow I didn't know I was the only one posting lately! Ok I'll shutup now.
