Date Format Suggestion
Hello everyone,
On many occasions, I had to construct charts twice because the date was written something like 10/09/1995 or so and I didn't know whether that was dd/mm/yyyy or mm/dd/yyyy. See, to a US member, this person is a Libra while to another member (say Egyptian ) they definitely have their sun in Virgo :!:  :?:
I suggest we all write the *name* of the month in letters to avoid the confusion.
Thanks.

I agree sorehearted. I've had my doubts a couple of times about a person's birth day and month while getting their charts done. I think if you're going to openly give that data then it should be carefully listed with the month spelled out like you suggested. Also the time be listed in hours and minutes as shown on the birth certificate with am/pm of course.

sorehearted,
I accidentally discovered awhile back that you can just 'right click' on ANY image and then 'save picture as'....or whatever your PC says. That's how I've collected emoticons and avatars and other images that I like. Sometimes a great emoticon is all that's needed, they say so much! I was really happy when I found some of the Astrological ones, silly as they are, I like them.

I would also suggest for those of us who were born in the US before 1967 between the last weekend of April and the last weekend of October to also provide whether their birth location was on Standard Time or Daylight Time, if they know that. Universal Daylight Saving Time here did not go into effect until 1967, so municipalities and states were allowed to choose if they wanted to use Daylight Time or not.
I know that most current versions of astrological programs made here in the US automatically correct for that, yet we don't know how many people are using US astrological software and the version being used nor do we know if someone is bravely trying to do hand calculated charts. Putting in S or D (in my case for July 26, 1958 it is CST because Des Moines stayed Standard that year) will indicate whether or not the hour needs to be subtracted. D indicates to subtract the hour.
And we all know how an hour can affect a chart.
