The sign on your 8th house cusp is Scorpio. This is the house in the natural Zodiac Scorpio rules.
The eighth house is where, traditionally, one works with or receives other people's money. This can be through dowreys, inheritances, lottery winnings, etc. Other people's money can also be receiving it to buy and sell in the stock/futures markets for them, which is what I think you are asking about. If this is not what you are speaking about, please respond and correct me.
Scorpionic energy may be secretive about the transactions that are made, even to the investors that have entrusted the trader to make the transactions. See, money control is a form of power, which is an aphrodisiac to Scorpionic energy. Keeping the investor out of the loop increases the power the trader has over the investor. Having a strong undertone of Sagitarius in the house could lead to flashing a big Jovian gambler's smile and saying "trust me" even when the trader is about to make a highly speculative trade that might lose everything the investor has. And the investor will trust the trader because of Sag being on the cusp of the 9th house.
Now for a more positive view:
Scorpionic energy may choose not to play the power game with the investor. The energy can then be used to lay out the full pros and cons for any investment that might be made, including length of return on investment, how the investment may or may not fit within the investor's portfolio, what type of strategy should be used while managing the investment, etc. The investor will see the Sagittarian honesty and respect the information given. This does not necessarily mean that the investor will take the advice but the investor will have high regard for it.
Your Midheaven has Capricorn on its cusp, which can assist in actively structuring the way money is invested for clients. The work will always be done in full public view, which may, at times drive the Scorpio 8th house energy a bit crazy. Capricorn will assist in making rock-solid, if very conservative, investments that will make money for the investor.
Overall, it is possible that you can be highly successful as a stock/futures trader. My question to you is would you be happy as a trader? I ask this because your Moon is in Gemini in the 3rd and your lunar nodal axis is NN Leo in the 5th and SN Aquarius in the 11th. This speaks to me as someone who is needing to do something creative through mining the personal unconscious and gathering its wisdom and dispersing what you have learned through teaching. This may be more emotionally satisfying, if not as lucrative, than stock/futures trading may be for you.
In other words, it is going to come down to a decision on your part on whether you want work that is monetarily satisfying or emotionally satisfying at this point in time.
Hope this helps. Take what fits and ditch the rest.

According to my limited knoweldge, speculation business, such as the stock market, is a 5th house matter because the 5th house rules everything whose outcome is a matter of chance. When the business is based on rather sound financial decisions, the 2nd house is of more relevance. The 8th house is of most relevence when it comes to using money that does not belong to the natal, e.g. loans or the spouse's resources.
What Elianah said is quite insightful though. It makes me wonder where I got that notion about that 5th house from. Maybe it's a traditional house rulership? I get confused sometimes when I think about modern and tranditional interpretations.

Sore,
For me, the natural rulership of the 5th house would be Leo and the Sun, and it is a fixed house. A fixed house placement would tend not to be big risk takers, which seems to be important in being a good stocks/futures trader to me. The gamblers of the fire children tend to be Sagittarius thanks to that Jovian optimism and expansiveness. Just my opinion and it may not be right for others.
I know that traditional astrology can see Leos or any sign or planet which falls within the 5th house colored by a fun-loving nature (some say we are serious partiers) and sometimes fun includes limited social gambling. Fixed signs, planets or houses are not typically speculative gamblers (unless there is a Jupiter or Neptune placement that changes the action significantly) but more acquisition managers.
However, Karan has almost 15° of Sag in the 8th house. So I balanced the fixedness of the 8th and Scorpio on the 8th house cusp with Sag, which would bring speculative stock and futures trading into play. If Karan had little or no Sag in the 8th, I think that some type of non-speculative money management position might be more appropriate. With as much Sag in the 8th (plus Uranus sitting on the "cusp" of Scorpio and Sag in the 8th), I think it will give Karan the ability adjust to the ups and downs typically associated with working in the financial futures industry.
Scorpio energy would tend to want to hang on to the money and would take it hard if the money was lost. The Sag influence is able to say "sometimes to make money you have to lose a little."
The major thing I think about with 8th house placements is that it is the house of others' resources, others' self-worth and others' self-value. Financial resources play a major role in the resources category, which will impact self-worth and self-value issues.
This is not to say that the 5th house can't have its speculative edge. I think someone that has Jupiter in a very creative sign in the 5th that is well aspected could be perhaps a gallery owner, a theatre producer, or someone else in the arts, publishing or broadcast media that uses one set of resources to provide creative outlet for another. For myself, however, I don't see the 5th on its own providing for speculative financial activity since it is a fixed house.
As always, take what fits and ditch the rest.

Yup, as always, you make a lot of sense. I need to recheck my sources and see where I got that from. Recheck.. hmm.. good think to do under Mercury Rx

And I can always be proven wrong. I'm still learning too.
And you have been a first-hand witness of when I blow it, I blow it big. Ah, life in the oversized lane brought to you courtesy of Leo with a lot of Sag in the mix.

A combined approach
Shreymr,
Let's use a combined approach to this question. First, according to Elianah's method, Sagittarius, Jupiter, and 9th house have to do with speculation and risk taking in general. Looking at your chart we see you have a kite focused on Sagittarius modifying Neptune (spirituality, also confusion, deception, illusion) focused in the 9th house. So, using Elianah's idea of rulership, this could indicate confusion or even deception in speculation, either TO you, or BY you. We also see that Jupiter is trine (energy goes very easily with) Venus (physical, also money), so you may have many opportunities to gamble.
Now, let's look at the chart from "heart"'s perspective (the more "traditional" perspective). Using this method, Leo, Sun, and 5th house have to do with speculation and risk taking in general. The first thing we see is Leo modifying North node (future goals) focused in the 5th house. So you have a life goal of doing speculation or risk-taking. We also see that you have Sun square (energy needs to be combined with) Uranus (friends, also impulse) focused in the 8th house (other people's money). So you may be impulsive in speculating with other people's money.
Both of these indicate that, while there is an attraction to speculation and risk taking, it creates the possibility of deception or impulsiveness. As a result, possibly you should think of some other use for your focus in the 5th house (self-expression). Perhaps in some sort of performance-based art or making music or acting (since Neptune's illusion makes possible the illusionary "magic" of music and acting).
Suggesting alternatives,
Tim

Hey Tim,
I find it interesting that despite our different methodologies we basically reached the same conclusions. Obviously the information is always there no matter what.
