*UPDATED: COMET TRANSITS NEAR VENUS EARLY MARCH
The coming Winter in the Northern Hemisphere and the summer in the Southern Hemisphere is about to witness a very strong set of planetary parallels and contra-parallels this winter.
Now, in early March, a comet is streaking across the skies in the early morning twilight, just after Venus' rise in sidereal Capricorn, and tropical Aquarius. Comet Pojmanski, discovered January 2 by a Polish astronomer and is now a morning comet in conjunction with Venus, now in its early Morning Star phase, or inferior conjunction to the Sun.
This all takes place under the constellation AQUILA, The Eagle, and its main star ALTAIR.
The comet, and Venus' entry into tropical Aquarius - all near Aquila asks us to watch for, and guard against natural disasters from weather events, earthquakes, floods, and increasing violence. The many planetary parallels of declination indicate malefic influences that are fought back with humanity's love and fear of God. Jupiter helps here, but is declining. Venus, now rising as Morning Star, and conjoined by a comet is significant. The comet also precedes the coming Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Virgo (14 March 2006) and the New Moon Total Eclipse of the Sun (March 29) - parts of Europe, Africa, and the Middle East are highlighted.
Those who read this update between March 5-10 should be able to view the comet & Venus before sunrise with clear skies. Using binoculars or better, a telescope, and point it toward the constellation AQUILA, and look south in the areas of late Capricorn, early Aquarius - the comet will be seen with a green-bluish head, and a long, thin, tail stretching back several degrees in length.
Mark this month, March, and April - as months for excellent celestial observations.
Now, planetary parallels. On your astrological software, cast a series of charts for transits of winter say, in January, February, March and April, and then run a grid aspects for parallels // and contra-parallels. From the celestial observations - expect world transits, and subsequent events to reflect what is an extra-significant year. As a classically-trained judicial astrologer, I've been tracking these parallels & contra-parallels for some time - and convinced that this winter and coming spring will see a "sea change" of world events that will affect us all.
As many of you know, Mars' overall transit, and retrograde of Taurus since late July 2006 to 18 February 2006 presages coming events. The added transit & retrograde of Venus in Capricorn along w/ Venus' retrograde at the constellation ALTAIR, added to the presage of Comet Pojmanski racing across this very point in early March - prior to a coming lunar & solar eclipse also in March presages a very important year worldwide.
As some of you may know, parallels occur when two planets are moving in the same declination to one another. Now, this does happen - but the parallels and contra-parallels this coming Winter and Spring are so numerous that the operations of the planets here will affect nearly all events on Earth - including the weather.
The Planetary Parallels & List of Important Dates -
14 Nov. - Dec. 4 2005 - Mercury retrograde

Now, these are just among the most important aspects - but there are more. Run an "aspect grid" on your astrological software and make certain your parallel and contra-parallel aspects are activated. See the amazing number of these aspects for Winter and into Spring 2006.
What these fixed transits indicate is that the 70-day retrograde of Mars that began 1 October 2005 that ends 10 Dec. 2005 is a sign of a very active winter and spring in the world.
Moreover, many millions of people are being affected by the fixed transits of Mars, Jupiter & Saturn as well as the transit of Neptune.
Uranus and Neptune, by the way, are in "mutual reception" transiting the signs of Aquarius and Pisces.
The coming parallel of Neptune & Pluto is very important. This parallel has happened during times of historical importance (1862-63) and (1917-1918) and reflects large societal changes involving matters of national and international importance; i.e., wars, and health.
The spread of both hinges on the ability for us to evolve into more accepting people; however, with the condition of the world more dire now and in need of spiritual, mental and personal/public growth - these parallels will force many unresolved situations to come to a head in 2006 -beginning the true 21st Century - as we move towards the 2010s.
Mars' movement through Taurus is also key. Mars conducted its station retrograde on 1 Oct. 2005 at 22-23 Taurus - the degree where the last Jupiter-Saturn conjunction of May 2000 took place. This indicates a very important time just ahead - and Mars' station direct after 10 Dec. 2005 signals world events will take on ever more shocking events in January, February and March 2006.
Mars has been conjoined to the constellation Pleiades, and will begin to slowly move back toward this constellation in January and meet it in early February. Passing through tropical Taurus, Mars will reach the point of its october retrograde by 1 February 2006 and enter tropical Gemini by 17 Feb. 2006.
A rise in violence around the world and military actions are expected with this transit of Mars. Moreover, the threat of further destabilization in political matters continues in December and January with Mars opposing Jupiter, now transiting tropical Scorpio. The events ahead are malefic - however, Jupiter holds sway in these matters and many malefic outcomes are "muted" - with some opportunities in January 2006 to reduce tensions.
This does not last long however... and matters may prove worse in the month of February 2006 - a very malefic month in the world - with aspects to the Moon from Mars and Pluto make for a strange amount of world news.
Nothing under a Mars retrograde should be taken at face value. The 70-day retrograde that ends 10 Dec. 2005 at 8-Taurus should be seen as a date to have things completed that perhaps were causing problems. Mars is responsible for the riots in Paris, France, and other violence-related events throughout the world.
Mystically, Taurus rules the neck and the throat and is connected with the use of speech and sound. Mars as a "hot" planet causes inflammations of the neck and throat - thereby affecting the speech. Maladies of Mars include influenza - meaning in Latin - literally "influenced by the stars."
To combat inflammations and sickenesses, herbs of Mars can be used to reduce and heal colds, and influenza as well as skin abrasions related to Mars. The last kind by using red light on the area affected and in the room of the sick person to relieve the negative effects of Mars.
Many herbs and remedies should be employed this winter to combat the coming spread of illness after the Mars retrograde.
Those with personal transits in fixed constellations of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius should be using other natal or progressed aspects to ward off the malefic influences of Mars and Saturn. This can be done by using Earth or a Water sign - other than Scorpio - to mute the powerful fixed positions of Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune - on one's life.
Meanwhile, Venus is transiting toward a retrograde on 24 December 2005. This seven (7) week retrograde ends 3 Feb. 2006.
Venus will station retrograde at 1-Aquarius, conjoined to Chiron and both under the constellation of Aquila, the Eagle, and conjunct to its main point - the fixed star ALTAIR.
Aquila is called the "storm bird" and indicates wild and intense storms this winter. Expect a long winter & brutal winter in the Northern Hemisphere due to Venus' six-week retrograde. Arctic pressure will strike parts of the Russia, China, Asia, and eastern Europe in early 2006. Venus will pass the Sun and enter its "Morning Star" cycle by 14-5 January 2006 - slowly transiting through the southern constellation of Capricorn - however, winter will be long and spring arrives late - coming on the day of Venus' northern declination - 6 May 2006.
Prepare for a very unusual winter in the northern hemisphere with this Venus and Chiron position in Aquarius and Capricorn. Also, Uranus, now moving to station direct in the tropical constellation Pisces, is sitting near to the synetic vernal point (5-6 Pisces) - influencing the Earth. Uranus' movement through winter is strong, and can be used well by those who have studied astrology for a long time. Be aware of the need to balance one's spiritual growth with common sense and avoid bein too impulsive under this influence - combined with the other transits of Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune.
This winter calls for watching health - especially concerning the Avian Influenza. As stated earlier, Mars is noted for helping to influence the wide spreading of virus via its retrograde motion and after 10 Dec. 2005 - news of sicknesses spreading worldwide will be evident.
It is possible to prevent illnesses by avoiding bad meats and not eating pork. Taking in more fruit into a daily diet such as Papaya Melon and its juices helps to cleanse the body of meat deposits from the previous spring, summer and autumn months. It is possible to build immunity also by using fish oils to clean the body and to drink fruit juices while also using honey to help prevent the onset of sickeness. Every astrologer knows that harmful bacteria cannot exist in pure honey.
March & April 2006 are also strong months to watch the skies intently and to take astrological notes & share them with one another - especially the transits of March. Look in your planetary ephemeris and view "Astro-data" in the lower left hand bottom corner of the page for March 2006. Also, note the Moon's phases and eclipses of this month.
The astro-data shows a very busy month weather-wise and the coming Lunar Eclipse at 24-Virgo on 14 March and the coming Solar Eclipse at 8-Aries on 29 March 2006 shows that world events in Europe, the Middle East and Southern Asia will be worldwide news in 2006. The people living in these regions should be aware of the coming of powerful events... storms, earthquakes, and increased violence - as shown by the solar eclipse.
Another matter are the transiting Lunar Nodes. At this time of writing the North Lunar Node is at 13-12 Aries and the South Lunar Node at 13-12 Libra. The retrograde movement of the nodes between January 2006 and the end of April 2006 reduce to 3-degrees Aries.
The nodes represent "eras" of about 18-19 months and we've been in the cardinal mode. The world will enter the mutable mode of Pisces/Virgo by 23 June 2006.
This means that the events of Winter and early Spring 2006 will be very important for the world and within individual lives. It is important to use the time before the nodes enter the mutable phase in late June 2006 to clear out the mess of one's life and to start to focus on what is important to you - spiritually and mentally.
Cultural and social connections with people of good will and those who are balanced is very important. Reducing one's attachment to material things also is critical as the transits indicate that more millions of people will have to deal with storms that take away material items - forcing them to concentrate on the intangable things in life that supercede materialism. Building oneself spritually, and being of good use of God the Creator who regulates all things through celestial motions.
The celestial signs clearly indicate very important global events in 2006 through to 2010. The next four years are key in preparations for the decade of the 2010s, and the hard world transits.
Because of the many parallels, contra-parallels and the operations of the planets between them relative to the Earth - the coming winter and spring of 2006 will mark a "watershed year" for the world - forcing all of us to be more centered and concentrated on the issues that are most important in the world.
Windows of opportunities open briefly in December 2005 - between 10 December to 24 December - a window of two weeks can be used to make adjustments in preparation for winter.
Also, overall, Jupiter's movement now to its retrograde of 4 March 2006 is excellent to accomplish many things. Jupiter is rising in the east at sunrise and will culminate in January. Although this takes place during the lead up to the holiday season - Jupiter can be used well to get many things accomplished personally and professionally through winter.
Jupiter has also revealed a second Red Spot near the Great Red Spot on the giant planet. Excellent viewing of Jupiter in April, and May, as the Earth transits to conjoin Jupiter.
Do not expect much help though from official instititions. This is due to the long Saturn retrograde of 22 Nov. 2005 to 4 April 2006. Traditionally, Saturn retrograde causes a "sideways" movement among institutions, governmental, educational, etc., all kinds of large corporations and businesses will not move much in the way of helping groups or individuals accomplish their goals. So, if you want to get things moved along with the help of large institutions - do so before 22 Nov. 2005 or wait until the coming of April.
The next six-to-nine months will see major change throughout the world and in people's lives. Use of free will with these transits - with knowledge of the world transits - can reduce many mistakes and allow for more running room in accomplishing one's goals.
However, expect to run into many people who, through their ignorance, may impose restrictions, delays, and barriers, due to their slow movement and non-ability to use time effectively. This calls for much creativity and the ability to navigate well using the transits.
Yet, remember, that the retrograde of Mars is a sign of things to come in the winter and spring months and that many people who have waited too long to either complete or start their new goals and projects will suffer during 2006.
One more item - Saturn, now in tropical Leo, is having a major effect on those born in the mid-to-late 1970s and this generation is experiencing their Saturn Returns between the ages 27.5, 28, 29, and 30 years old, respectively. This is an important time to try to manage things in a way that does not lead to more problems.
Saturn's movement here in Leo calls for caution in the area aspected - parties, clubbing, drinking, gambling, excessive socializing, etc., and is reflective of the era of the mid-1970s when excess was the rule of the times.
What followed though, was Saturn's entry into Virgo - where the excessive spending led to a cash-crunch and a recession. Those who are able to cut down on excessive partying and wasting cash should do so now.
Saturn will enter tropical Virgo in September 2007 and by 2008 will start an opposition to Uranus in Pisces. The coming transit of the Lunar Nodes in Pisces/Virgo is a warning of the this Saturn/Uranus opposition between 2008-2010. Start saving more, reduce debt, and prepare for the decade of the 2010s, which will have more malefic world transits leading to the global events of the coming 2020s.
Also, the world has been in the "Cycle of the Sun" since 1981 and this cycle ends in the year 2016 when Saturn will begin a new cycle. This is according to the ancient judicial astrological precept called The Cycle of the Prophets.
This means there are 10 years from 2006 left under the Cycle of the Sun and that the coming Saturn Cycle that begins in 2016 will take place just before Saturn enters the constellation Capricorn with Saturn transiting tropical Sagittarius. Ten years remain for many of us to get our collective act together - and in astrology, ten years is not that long of a time.
The master judicial astrologer, Michel Nostradamus wrote about this in particular and mentioned that the early 2000s would be a "time of troubles" that if not tamed - would lead to the further fulfillment of his prophecies.
A world warning is being issued with Mars retrograde at the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction point of 22-23 Taurus that took place five years ago. Moreover, the fixed sign transits of Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune arrive in 2006 at a key time in world history.
The many parallels of the planets call for everyone to stay open-minded and cautious this winter. Planning is important and avoiding silliness, and wasting time very critical going into 2006. With these world transits just ahead it is not wise to waste time or to allow others to do so in your life. The coming retrogrades and direct motions of planets like Venus, Mars, and Saturn mean that enough barriers will be placed in the way of many, many people - and with the long season of winter ahead in the northern regions - people emerging from winter and a late spring are going to be angry this coming summer.
Avoiding contact with negative people, and groups is important - while building new alliances with people of goodwill and knowledge of the transits is stressed. It is essential to begin waking up from the materialism of the world and to express oneself in one's own true light in these times.
Stay safe out there and keep your eyes on the skies.
