Planets in 5th....does that mean children?

Hi all,

I would like to know if having a few planets in the 5th indicate a good future with children. I am thinking about having kids now (I'm 36) with my husband but I am scared about it. Will he be a help to me...will he be a good father?

I have never been one of those women who gush over someones baby...was just never interested. I was the last born in my small family - and have never really been around children. No neices or nephews...no cousins etc. So I guess I just feel alientated from children....don't understand them.

I have posted a synestry chart of my husband and myself...I believe I am the inner circle (born Feb. 6/71).

Are there any indications of having children, does it show how many, and if there will be any problems. I just hope I am ready for all this as well as my husband.

Any imput would be appreciated.

Re: Planets in 5th....does that mean children?

I would say that your Jupiter in the 5th house is a good sign. Here's some more info from "Message of the Stars":

Whether a person will have children or not cannot be judged from his or her individual horoscope with any degree of accuracy for this matter is not dependent on one only, therefore the horoscope of the prospective parents should be compared and the individuals indications blended, then if both horoscopes show a fruitful nature many children will be born, but if both are only moderately fertile, or if one is very fruitful and the other barren, the forecast must be made accordingly.

The indications shown in the individual horoscope may be interpreted as follows:

The Moon is the planet of fecundation and therefore the most important significator; next comes Venus, the planet of love and attraction; and last, Jupiter, the planet of benevolence. If either of these planets is in the Fifth House, which indicates children, and in one of the fruitful or double-bodies signs, Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces, Gemini, or Sagittarius, it is an indication that the person has a fruitful nature and will have a number of children who will be of good and pleasant disposition. A similar judgment may be formed if the Eleventh House is thus invested. For if we turn the horoscope upside down so that the Seventh House becomes the First, then it will show the marriage partner's figure, and the Eleventh House is then his Fifth House indicating children, therefore both the Fifth and Eleventh Houses should be considered in this matter. But as already said, the true state of conditions cannot be forecasted save by blending the actual figures of both parents.

When the Moon is in Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces, Gemini, or Sagittarius, in good aspect to Jupiter or Venus, a large family is indicated.

Re: Planets in 5th....does that mean children?

Thanks Libra20!

I guess it looks good as I have my moon in Cancer, Cancer asc. and Jupiter in 5th in Sagitarius.

I wonder about my husband though.

I tried to attached a synesty chart but I don't think people can see it properly. What is the best way to attach charts to this site?

Re: Planets in 5th....does that mean children?

You've attached the chart fine. You just need to click on it to make it bigger. His chart seems neutral to me. He doesn't have any super fertile indicators nor does he have any indicators denying children....

I wouldn't worry about being able to conceive. Your other question is whether he will be a help to you with the children. The best way to answer this is good, honest communication between the two of you about each of your expectations/viewpoints on parenting and your respective roles.

You say that you've never spent any time around kids and don't understand them. Why don't you do some volunteer work with children. Get to know some kids.

Re: Planets in 5th....does that mean children?

Hi again Libra20,

Thanks for the input. My husband would be a good father I am sure...but he is too easy going sometimes and I just would like to have the support when I would need it.

Also, I am afraid of his family taking over. I don't have much family and am a private person. I get along with his side...it's just I don't want to feel like I am always going to have to be the one to disipline or make sure all is running smoothly.

Anyway, I'll have to wait and see. We haven't started yet but it's been on my mind (about starting a family of our own)......also he is currently unemployed but he has been working on getting a trucking job (where his father works) and he makes good money...so I worry about that end as well.

Will we be able to afford to have me off on leave and a child?

Well thanks again for your advice.

Re: Planets in 5th....does that mean children?

Hi,

Just a heads up:-

This is the horary section, so any questions posted here should be horary questions. You'd be best served posting your 5th house question in the natal section.

If you wanted to make a horary question out of this (which it is entirely possible to do), we would need the *exact* time/date/place you ask the question. Keep in mind that horary questions need to be clearly thought-out, so as to ensure a clearly-delineated answer!

Best wishes,
AG

Re: Planets in 5th....does that mean children?

Your Moon in Cancer in the 12th and trine Sun in Pisces I think, shows that you will be a good mother. Jupiter and the Part of Fortune in the 5th further indicate that you could be pleasantly surprised by motherhood.
Too much thinking, planning ahead, worrying about wether you will or will not be a good mother or your husband a good father wont help at all, it will only hinder your happiness. Either you want children and you are looking foreward having them, or you don't. Fear for a complicated pregnancy or a disabled child I can imagine, but being afraid that the father will not be strict enough so you have to do the disciplinary act....? In most every couple I have met it is either the mother or the father who disciplines the kids. Not often do you find parents that do both on an equal level. That sort of disciplining needs talking and setting the rules about how to support one another, even before the children are born. But how many people do that? I suggest you just relax about the whole thing and enjoy. 36 is a good mature age for knowing what you are doing. (unlike a 20 year old still wanting to go to the disco and feeling trapped). Have you talked to your husband about his feelings regarding children? His Venus is in Aries, yours in Capricorn so I guess he will be more spontaneous in his affections, and Capricorn is more inhibited maybe but not less strong in loving someone. Are you afraid of his Sun in Pisces being to nice? Your Moon in Pisces in the 12th is just as sensitive and kind. I have my Moon in the 12th in Scorpio, I am also very private, but I was always very happy to share my children with my family, in-laws included. I would not worry about them taking over, unless they are now already very overbearing. By the way, my mother was born on February 6! She was incredibly caring about her children. I have an Aquarius girlfriend who absolutely lives for her 3 children. She is a teacher and very creative and yet finds all the time to share with her children. You will see, the less you worry, the better things will go. Much luck for the future!!

Talking Re: Planets in 5th....does that mean children?

Yes you are right about how I should stop dwelling on the worry. That is my Cancer traits again.

I was just curious about what our charts would show in that area in regards to having children. I enjoy astrology very much and I am still a novice.

I am glad to hear it look fortunate.

Thanks to all for your advice.

Re: Planets in 5th....does that mean children?

Hi Moon.

Again yet, this has been moved from the horary section.

Will you please check that you are making posts to the appropriate boards before submitting them? It's just that it drives me up the wall does that type of thing, especially when I have attached a sticky to the top of the Medical Horary board stating, 'Please Read Before Posting Here!'.

http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum...ead.php?t=5930

There is no point in having subforums at all if they're are not going to be used appropriately.

Your two questions should have been placed here in the natal section, or in pertaining to reproduction, possibly the medical astrology section, but these were certainly not horary questions.

Rant over.
