The Importance of The Sun

I like to share teachings by people who really touch me, here is a teaching from Carol Willis that does that. The
Affirmation at the end totally expresses the deepest wishes and desires of my heart for all.

The Sun symbolizes YOU as an individual spiritual being, your will, purposes, and vitality. The Sun represents the
experience you want to have as a soul, your purpose(s), what you can contribute, based on your own being, attributes,
virtues, understanding, skills, and mastery. The Sun symbolizes our deeper spiritual realities. Physically the Sun represents your vitality, your aliveness, your vital life force. To a great degree, a person's vitality or
state of their vital life force is a function of the state of their soul and level of confidence.

AFFIRMATION
I affirm the day that every child and every adult knows that he is spirit,
made in the image of God as creative spirit unlimited,
pure consciousness and creator of radiant golden substance,
wielder of spiritual substance, and
knows that his spiritual lineage and being
are the source of his intelligence and virtue.
What a different world we will have!

Waterbearer50 - I just really wanted to thank you for posting this. I found this information to be quite helpful, and it helped make some things click in my mind, and simple little things, too, and I'm surprised I couldn't think of this myself.

Quote:
CANCER: caring, feeling, gut level intuition, ability to read
the mass consciousness, finger on the pulse of humanity,
comfort, creation of safe spaces, health benefits of
emotional continuity over time.

Quote:
SUN IN 5th HOUSE: Life focus on the creative process, children
and young people, love affairs, vacations, recreation, sports,
resorts, fun, games, risk.
Once I combined these together, something just clicked in my head. For awhile now, I've always wondered what my career will be like when I'm older (I am only 16 right now, but I still wonder). I've basically narrowed down my passions to psychology/social work, and film and television production (basically anything to do with it - writing, directing, producing, editing). For awhile I wasn't really sure how I would be able to fulfill both of these passions, as they don't exactly go hand in hand, but when I read your post, I just realized that I could simply study both topics in university, but try and get a job in film/television. And with my Aquarius rising, I put that together with the fact that I have a cancer sun, and it's in the 5th house. I've known for awhile that when I am older, I would like to adopt older children (I don't feel the need to have my own). I can't help but feel for them, as the majority of people looking to adopt go for the infants, and a lot of older kids never even get a real family. Anyways, I just wanted to thank you Waterbearer, as this post helped me realize that I can satisfy my needs quite simply

Can I ask where is your Moon at? It seems to me that you are kind-hearted and compassionate. I bet Moon will show it too in your chart.

Shimmy,

Thanks for your reply, I'm glad the article helped you. Your reply

helped me also. I've been away from this forum for

two weeks sorting out some personal issues and I come back on the

same day you posted, good synchronicity!

I took a look out your chart and some of your posts and can offer this

advice: concerning your shyness, your just getting

over Saturn transiting your Mars and Venus. To use the style of Tim

Wilson, Saturn(limitations) traveled by Mars(action)

and Venus(loving and relating). This has been for the last year and is just

clearing out now. Could'nt it also be

"normal" teenage shyness? My son is three months older than you and I

can see this in him.

The other interesting transit you have is Uranus just starting to pass

through your First House. Your Asc. is Aquarius, but Pisces covers most

of your 1H. Uranus transits each House in about seven years, with your

plans to go to a University this period will cover most of your formal

learning. Carol Willis's description is "As Uranus transits

around your natal chart, it "lights up" the houses of your chart in

succession, highlighting windows of opportunity for a

wide variety of experiences, sudden change, surprises, transformation,

personal growth, unconventionality, inspired

approaches, metaphysics applied to that house. Uranus requires that you

remain true to yourself, know your own truth,

stay flexible and open to the best options, be patient. Interpret the

meaning of any unexpected changes from a

deeper level of the soul's desire for experience.

The 1H being Self Awareness, Self Discovery, Persona, it should be a

great time for " Higher Learning". 8)

Best wishes,

WB50

CuriousGirl: Wow - that definitely is the ultimate compliment for me - kindhearted and compassionate. Plenty of thankyous! And my moon's in Aries, and in the 2nd house, which to me doesn't exactly mean much (it just doesn't make sense there, in the 2nd, but maybe later in life it will). I think I just have the need to do those things, as I stated before, maybe because of my Aquarius ASC conjuncting my N. Node almost exactly (there's not even a degree between them), plus as WB50 said, I have all 30 degrees of Pisces in my 1st house.

WB50: Thanks for taking the time to post all that! And that does somewhat make sense - Saturn transitting my Mars and Venus, and even the normal "teenage shyness" , except that I've always been a shy kid, basically from birth, lol. I kind of wondered though, because with an air ASC, that usually isn't the case, but there's more to it than that. And I must say that's pretty nifty about Uranus going through my first house - I get excited just thinking about it! (Is that weird at all? :? )

Thanks for your interpretation!

Hi Shimmy,

With your Moon in Aries in your second house, it can mean that you may need to actively work on the emotional component of your self-worth and self-respect. You may intellectually value yourself more than the more instinctual parts of yourself. You need to emotionally nurture and nourish those instinctual parts of you that may seem more hard-wired so they are able to grow and transform and become part of the whole that you are always becoming.

Is Pisces or Aries on the 2nd house cusp? If Pisces is on the cusp, the Moon placement may be trying to assist you in moving out the energy into use in the world. Pisces on the cusp brings in the energy into the 2nd and works with it within all parameters of consciousness. It may take Aries to return it back to the outside, which is why your soul may have chosen that Moon placement. The Moon is also a Water planet, which will assist in pulling the Water Pisces energy through its conscious awakening phase into productive use and action via Fire Aries.

My 2¢ worth. Take what is useful and ditch the rest.

Elianah - I have never heard that interpretation of the moon in 2nd before (i've always heard of it having to do with strictly material-type things, which shows I have much more learning ahead of me), and now it makes so much more sense to me. What you said couldn't have been any more true, and I thank you for sharing that info. And by the way, I have Aries on my 2nd house cusp
