Another Horary Chart in Which the Outcome is Known

I admit that I haven't been posting much on the forums lately, but I was browsing through the Stored Astro Data on my Astrodienst account to clear room in my databank when I discovered an old horary chart to which I already know the answer; although I dutifully recorded the data during a music rehearsal prior to the Wind Ensemble's first major competition, I did not attempt interpretation for fear of psyching myself out and becoming fixed on a certain outcome. The chart was cast while our band director was giving us a pep talk about the possibility of us receiving a Gold rating at the region festival, noting the tremendous progress the group has made since its creation five years ago. A few key rehearsals had been canceled due to concerts in the building and in the district, and the general musical condition of the ensemble, although always decent, did not quite seem Gold standard to my ears that night.

Without revealing too much of what transpired, did we make it that far?

Perhaps the exact date and time of the performance would be more revealing, but there were several unexpected delays and I was too nervous to properly keep track of the time...

And yes, I am aware that this chart may not be able to be judged due to the early degree of the Ascendant.

Just a quick look at this, but the chart appears to be negative.

Venus, representing you and the band, is in detriment and in the eighth house of loss, so it would seem that the band were in poor condition at the time that you asked your question. Furthermore, Venus is the ruler of the ninth, representing the band's 'knowledge' or abilities, and you said yourself that the ensemble didn't sound gold standard to your ears.

Venus has not long to go before entering domicile however, so I imagine that there was sharp improvement in the bands performance and confidence, perhaps a couple of weeks or so after asking the question?

The Moon represents what can be achieved, being ruler of the midheaven. The Moon is peregrine and in the fifth house of music, so what can be achieved is limited, particularly with the Moon being disposited by Saturn.

The Moon is about to conjoin Mars, which represents rivals and opponents being ruler of the seventh cusp, and furthermore is dispositer of Venus, and so your rivals have dominance over you, and the prize applies to conjoin them.

With Mars being opponents and Venus being in Mars' domicile, and with the Moon representing the prize applying to conjoin Mars, I would say that the prize went to a rival band.

This was only a very quick look though.
