[Horary] Will I be succesful at the stock market?
Hello guys,
The hollidays are comming up, and I plan on using the free time to concentrate on the stock market. I'm still in college, but I feel like working to please my Taurus sun. The stock market has always seemed like a good place for me.
Here are a horary "will I be succesful at trading stocks?", my natal chart and a synastry. I'll be curious to read any thoughts.

Re: [Horary] Will I be succesful at the stock market?
Some pesonal observations:
- Horary:
Asc is Leo, so querent is represented by Sun.
Professional succes is 10H, Sun is at 2 degrees from MC.
10H ruler mars is opposed by Saturn, although the opposition is eased by trine/sextile with 5H "lucky" Jupiter.
Financial succes is 2H, Sun as well. Moon in Virgo. Both Sun and Moon have no major aspects.
- Natal:
10H co-ruler Mars is in 4H in Gemini. I plan on my computer (air) at home (4H) to do business (Mars) by using tactics, strategies and communication (Gemini).
My 12H Neptune does square my 2H Venus in Aries, so I'll need to watch out for buying on impuls, lol .
Than again Neptune does trine 3H Taurus: I plan on using only reliable investments and a lot of patience.

Re: [Horary] Will I be succesful at the stock market?
Hi Sanem,
This is from Skyscript:
Quote:
|
Speculation on the stock market is often assigned here [the 5th house] but where the investment is based upon financial or business decisions the 2nd house has more relevance. Although Ivy Goldstein-Jacobson popularised the notion that it rules speculation on the stock market, she defined its influence as ruling "everything whose outcome is a matter of chance" ([SHA], p.163).
|
So to judge your chances on the stock market you need to look at the significators of the 2nd and 5th houses, and their relationships to your significators, not the 10th.
Cheers,
AG

Re: [Horary] Will I be succesful at the stock market?
Hey AG ,
Thanks for the hint. Also made me realise there must be loads of stuff on astrological stock trading on the net. Will be a fun read...
On the 5H, Scorpio ruler, Mars makes no aspects to either Sun or Moon, neither does Jupiter. Mars does trine Jupiter.
There is however a trine between Pluto and Moon, closest, if only aspect it has. And it too trines Mars.

Re: [Horary] Will I be succesful at the stock market?
hey Tikanan, didn't see your reply at first
good point on Venus, also the fact that Saturn also opposes Mars, 5H ruler
the good news is that I'm quite familiar with the limitations of Saturn, and that I've also learned that they're not unsurmountable. it just takes some patience and a lot of practice

Re: [Horary] Will I be succesful at the stock market?
Sanem
i dont like oppositions in horary ... oppositions usually mean other peopel are interfering vs square where it could be an internal battle.
Venus is strong vs Saturn being retro and debiliated..
venus represents beauty and arts ... so since the question is involving arts/music, that could be that other people will be interfering in her success.
Dont forget that horary last for 3 months. Here is a live example
3 years ago .. i had a huge argument with a leader of one prominent horary group. The question was saying flat out no and showed separation. I told the gal "look, i have a feelign that horary is wrong and if it is right it is only temp ... " The gal banned me because iof my radical views.. Guess what happend 1 year later. My gut feeling was right .. it was wrong. the object in question all of sudden turned around and came afloat exactly 1 year later .... So horary may be wrong or describe an immidate future vs a long range.. that is why i love putting a time line into questions
does this explain?

Re: [Horary] Will I be succesful at the stock market?
I find this a difficult question, mainly because believe it or not, I'm not actually very clear upon what stock-markets actually are, all that in depth financial/business stuff goes right over my head, I'm more in my element swimming in symbolism.
What I do know however, is that people play the stock market with the aim of getting rich, fast. Therefore I would see this as a 8th/2nd question. You are asking whether you will be successful or not in getting other people's money into your own pockets, it is a gamble.
As such I would say no. Saturn is the ruler of the eighth house, and this is on the cusp of your second, which would show the money coming into your pocket, however, given Saturn's detriment and retrograde, this will be very little money, and difficult to obtain at that.

Re: [Horary] Will I be succesful at the stock market?
Draco, Tikana, thanks for your contributions.
I found the following text, from the forum's home page, not directly linked to horary, but it gives a good view of the nature of my question:
Saturn in the 1st - Saturn in the first house
A First House Saturn suggests that your career or area of responsibility in the world relates to a personal ambition to attain prominence and overcome problems regarding self-expression. Your goals include personal happiness, financial security, general well-being and personal fulfilment. In order to achieve self-sufficiency much hard work is required to overcome self-limitations. Periods of gloom and discontent are certain but eventual success will come through your ability to manage others, practical ability and strenuous, protracted effort. Progress may be slow but you are sure to gain a good reputation, honour and credit through persistence, acquired ability, worldly wisdom and continual effort. A strong ego must be evolved and an agreeable social persona adopted. These qualities will enable you overcome feelings of fear and self-doubt, and to face the challenges of the outer world with courage and self-confidence - a free soul with a true sense of worth and purpose.
This little stock market project is not in the first place to make a lot of money like so many others, I have the luxery of not needing or wanting to. Rather my main goal is to focus my energies into something constructive, something that can give me a measure of appreciation in society, as well as to develop my own person. I guess I wanted to know wether this was the right way to do so, or that I should focus on something different.
Which I guess would make it a 10H matter, Asc ruler Sun conj MC perhaps being a give-away . I intend to do so using 8H, which holds my 10H ruler Mars. However it is opposed by 8H ruler Saturn, presiding in 1H/2H cusp.
I don't want to be a stock market jupy: I've always loved money, but I've never liked spending it. Rather I want to do something that... well, something that'll look on my résumé .
So to interpret the responses I received, I'll get little money for much effort, which actually sounds pretty good to me .
Also note the synastry with my natal chart: Venus on my north node by 3 degrees, MC conj my Mercury by 1 degree, Mars squaring my Saturn by 2 degrees, and Virgo Moon nicely easing the preasure on my natal Sun/Pluto opposition by 1 to 2 degrees.

Re: [Horary] Will I be succesful at the stock market?
OK look
this is horary not a natal astrology
Saturn in 1st house in horary is not a good omen
if you want to keep lying yourself or imagine what it is not there, then there is really nothing much horary astrologers can do.
Synastry with Horary astrology? that is new!
this is not your full time career move... Stock market is not a full time job unless you are a trader. it is side money therefore it is 8th house not 10th!
I worked for 2 years in a stock market company .. the only people that are making money are stock brokers.
so let's say you put 3,000 bucks .. out of 3,000 bucks certain % goes to the broker usually it is a few hundred bucks.. that is not all.. Then it is a broker's interest on lying to you about your stock so you can put more money into their pockets. More money you lose more eager you get "i will break through next time... 2,000 bucks""
we had clients lose 750k dollars in 1 shot. 99.9% of all clients were losing money. After i left, a firm was fined 4.5 million dollars.

Re: [Horary] Will I be succesful at the stock market?
Lol yeah, I do tend to mix horary and natal astrology .
I did find the following:
http://www.serenapowers.com/horary.html
"Is Saturn in the First House when the astrologer is the querent? Your judgement as an astrologer may be compromised or restricted."
So much for horary than .
