Should a new Natal chart be cast for a person who has experienced an NDE?

I have read various theories about casting a new Natal chart for a person if they have experienced an NDE. There are certainly valid reasons for this, such as so many people who have experienced one, state that they no longer feel they are the same person as they were before, experiencing some of the following:
  • No longer relate to their family or friends;
  • Get divorced, quit their jobs and start something completely different;
  • Find they have different tastes in say clothing and food choices;
  • Have complete different interests;
  • And many report having talents they never had before.
Has anyone come across this, or how do others in the group feel about it?

Just how valid are any of these reasons though? When we examine the facts and realise that:

(1) the person who experienced the NDE retains their original date of birth, their original social security number, their original mother and father, their original brothers and sisters that they had before the NDE

(2) and they have not been issued with a death certificate and have not been declared legally dead, then clearly they have the same natal chart they were originally born with

This is of course simply my opinion and others may disagree

The reasons for change may vary but getting a new job, experiencing a divorce, feeling alienated from friends and family, having different interests, discovering new talents previously unknown, experiencing changing tastes in clothing/food choices are all normal experiences that are common to many hundreds of millions of people during the span of a lifetime

fwiw Belle Lune IMO it is not unusual for people to change

1) Well of course they retain their original date of birth their original social security number, their original mother and father, their original brothers and sisters that they had before the NDE. It would be entirely odd for their country to issue them with new social security numbers etc, and for their family to divorce them. So hmm, I think that's a redundant point.

2) Is it a requirement by the universe/cosmos that a legal document i.e. the death certificate need be issued for a new Natal chart to be cast?

Sometimes I think it’s good to ponder on some of these issues, because they really are out there, and we certainly cannot dismiss them by arguments confining the universe into our own human made legal system.

Statistically, the situations I described above are far higher than those that occur in the lives of your average human being. They occur within the first year or two after the NDE, and I don’t think should be dismissed as normal experiences that “we all go through in life”.

Anyway, it's good to get various opinions on the matter.

fwiw Belle Lune, IMO

(1) natal charts are based on the physical birth of the native at the time they emerged from their mother's womb

(2) and death charts are based on the permanet physical death of the native in relation to the physical body that emerged from their mother's womb.

I agree Belle Lune that you have raised an interesting idea that is well worth debating. What I previously have stated is of course my opinion only and we all have different opinions - otherwise conversations would be rather dull if we all agreed

Re: Should a new Natal chart be cast for a person who has experienced an NDE?

I have two thoughts on this one:
1) I have used, in consultation, a client's near-death experience as "another natal chart" for her, at her request. As a stand-alone chart it described her new personality, to her satisfaction. However, I found it related intimately with her natal chart and amplified particular parts of it (as we astrologers would expect).

2) When my third child, a daughter, was born, she died during the birth and according to her, she was given the choice to go on with the deathing, or to return into this life. She realised this during a rebirthing session she had as an adult. I had a near-death experience during this birth:
Astrologically: I use Porphyry House division in my practise and her 8th House cusp is exactly conjunct my Asc.

I feel no need to use my daughter's birth chart as a new beginning chart for me; however, my daughter and I have deep intuitive links and her life challenges, so different from mine, have the depth and intensity of my own.

I trust this is helpful information.

I too would say no (a new replacement natal would not be valid) However, a chart for the NDE would be very important and should be read (and even profected or progressed) in composite with the natal.

Re: Should a new Natal chart be cast for a person who has experienced an NDE?

dr. farr, thanks for your info. I'd never thought of doing a composite with the natal, using the NDE. Wil play with mine (which will be the same as my composite with my daughter. . . )
What kind of composite do you use for this? I get differing results with different methods - would value your experience.
What is profection? I feel as though I should know, as though I almost do (have looked it up at least once but clearly have never used it or I'd remember. . . )

Re: Should a new Natal chart be cast for a person who has experienced an NDE?

Make up a simple composite on astro.com, using your natal information + the date, time and place of your NDE (just as if you were making a composite between 2 different people)

Profection is an ancient Hellenistic method of "progression", where you advance the ascendant and all other houses (and the planet therein) one sign per year (and then compare the profected signs and planets to the radical chart for predictive purposes)

Simple symbolic progression could also be used quite easily with the special composite (advance everything in the composite 1 degree per year)
