Why is he initiating contact?

This is about the same guy.I hate how he's been trying to initiate contact when we can never meet eachother again.

I've interpreted the chart.He's in the 7th house,so it looks like he doesn't think much about me.My moon is in the 7th house,so it looks like I'm keen on a relationship,when I'm not anymore.Jupiter in 5th house as well.

I'm Moon and Jupiter
He's Sun and Mercury

Jupiter in Gemini which rules Mercury so it looks like I 'love' him (I don't love him,infatuated yes!)
Mercury in Cancer which exalts Jupiter so it looks like he's infatuated,which I think he is since he hinted it the last time.

The moon and mercury are conjuncting which could explain his contact.However,I'm supposed to be chasing him since I'm the faster planet,but then I'm not? Does this look like we'll even meet later on? I have Pluto on the 1st house which could explain why I'm feeling like this.

The Saturn in House 9 is a bit scary as I'm traveling tomorrow.

He's a nice guy and we're on good terms,it's just the fact that something about him is creeping me out.By the way this is about the same guy I posted a chart about several times.He's even moving away!

if moon seperating mercury yes this seems a past contact.....he is mercury in sign of moon so he cares about your thoughts and feelings....also sun going to cancer sign so he will be in sign of moon again..now with busy 1st house shows that he is thinking himself but with sun in cancer will come close to you.

it's not a separating contact though as it's adjoining (i'm not sure)

i wonder if i should do anything about this,we're not in the same country,but if he were in person and asked me out right this minute I would say yes.

i hate it when this happens as I start to feel strongly about him.It's been quite weird as two of his friends have approached me since he left and I really like him.It's just that right now I think it'd be the best if I could move on.

I can see his mercury in cancer and my moon.So in this way his reception is stronger than mine,but I'm in his house

For me at least, the answer as to why he is initiating contact is simple:
romantic interest

-he = 7th house
-his 5th house (house of romance) = 5th from 7th = Libra = Venus
-querent = 1st house = Sagittarius = Jupiter
-Venus retrogrades (returns back toward) Jupiter, ie, his romantic interest returns toward querent
-and this happens in his own signifying house (7th/Gemini)
-and the significators Venus and Jupiter in that sign are conjunct the nefarious South Node, which indicate that no benefit will come of this over the near future.

thank you dr farr,this is a very different method,but I think I know the outcome will be nothing.

thank you once again! can anyone else see anything different? I thought the mercury moon conjunction could mean something,but then it could also mean contact now as his birthday's coming up
