Tarot interpretation help please
Hello all
I haven't touch my Tarot cards for 3-4 months but decided to ask a question. Since it had been very accurate to me for prediction. Of course the question is related to love, that is basically everyone's all time burning question while you are single and not very old.
Question: How do I find love?
I drew 6 cards.
1) Me now: The Hermit
2) The kind of love I need: Death
3) What I must express: Reversed 5 of swords
4) What I must give: Reversed 5 of cups
5) What I must take: Reversed The Empress
6) How will I find love: Reversed Queen of Pentacles
3 Major Arcana and 4 reverse cards so not very straight forward answers to me. But the first card "Me Now" is really accurate, I have been like The Hermit, isolate myself spending private time a lot, seeking truths about my path and future life, looking deep inside my consciousness and unconsciousness to look for direction and guidance.
The second card Death, I really do want a transformative relationship.
For the other four reversed cards I would love to hear what you guys think!
I used the Univerisal Waite Tarot Deck.
Thank you very much!!

Re: Tarot interpretation help please
Hi poyi. I'm not a tarot expert or anything, but I do have some sense of a theme running through your spread.
With you being the Hermit at the moment, this suggests that you need to withdraw into a patient and isolated way of being until the time is right to move out into life again with regard to relationships. Therefore Death could refer to a transformation of your relationship needs rather then transformation through a relationship. I think the 5 of swords backs this up, as I see this card as being about being realistic about oneself and life - perhaps in this case realistic about what a relationship can and can't do for you. And the 5 of cups I see as a similarly sobering card, connected with feeling betrayed by life in some way, but this being a useful experience in the maturing of one's feeling nature. The last 2 cards would suggest to me that your route to happiness is through connecting with your own body, and through your body connecting with the natural/physcial world.
This is just my subjective and amateur take on it, but it could be that in the long term you have more to gain by being alone right now - more to gain as a future individual and also more to gain from any future relationships.

Re: Tarot interpretation help please
Hi hi thank you for taking your time for me again
I see. I have been very caution about new relationship. I ask myself lot of questions of how much I am willing to sacrifice again for the other person. It is the most vulnerable feeling of loving someone and not expecting any return and being so consciously knowing nothing will last.
When I decide to give, I can go very far distance and extend. You have seen my chart, I think you would know what I mean. I can be very stubborn.

Re: Tarot interpretation help please
Yes, it could be a time of working through some of the vulnerability while alone so that when you are next in a relationship you feel stronger and clearer in yourself about what to give and what you need in return. I think people are more likely to settle for an unfulfilling relationship when they are needy, and more likely to get fulfilment when they don't desperately need to get this through someone else. Of course we can do a lot of work on ourselves while in relationships too, and perhaps some of the feelings that we need to work through might only come up in relationship. But it sounds like you are experiencing a certain amount of hunger for intimacy at the moment, so there is probably an opportunity presenting itself for you to develop a sense of self-communion and communion with life itself, that will make future relationships easier and more satisfying.

I think this hunger had something to do with the transit Jupiter trine both of my 5th Moon, 1st Mars and approaching trine to 1st/2nd Venus all related To romance and opposit to 7th house.Transit Jupiter made an opposition aspect with my 7th house ruler Jupiter in 4th and co-ruler Neptune also in 4th a few weeks back. These transits are not also do good. And JerryRR predicted 24th of June there is a Mars return to my natal chart (not sure about his method), stating a start of new relationship and I had a recent Horary reading also suggesting a fast processing relationship coming up. I am most confused right now ;(...

Re: Tarot interpretation help please
Also transit Gemini Venus had made opposition to my 4th Jupiter and Neptune now. Also made a trine to Mars Moon then natal Venus. This is no fun for me..

Re: Tarot interpretation help please
1) Me now: The Hermit: You already know what this means
2) The kind of love I need: Death: You need an intense relationship or a very potent one. No half assed relationships for you.
3) What I must express: Reversed 5 of swords:You are opened to others ideas. You don't want shallow victories in arguments. You are opened to change and resolution.
4) What I must give: Reversed 5 of cups: Acceptance. Not leaving at a drop of a hat.
5) What I must take: Reversed The Empress: Perhaps help secure yourself emotionally or financially.
6) How will I find love: Reversed Queen of Pentacles: At a job perhaps, comforting someone else, when you are independent financially, avoiding the reversed.

Thank you for helping. Not fully understand the 6) I work as a nurse so j do give people comfort during their difficult time. So you mean at work or through helping others?
I am also financially independent. So what would that means?
Thank you

I'd say then that you shouldn't overlook someone due to financial status then. Someone may come into your life who isn't as secure as you and you shouldn't thumb your nose at them (which is what the queen of pent. reversed would do!). Or that you will meet someone at work eventually (if you follow the other cards...).
The first card is the most illuminating card usually when it describes the present stage. A hermit doesn't find love!

I think you are quiet right with your reading since Queen of pentacle is the Earth sign in Zodiac which represents material and reverse is the negative representation of it. When it is reverse it will ask you to gk back to learn the lesson of the previous up right card. I agree with your reading. I some time do feel Tarot is very powerful and really works prediction.
For example the second card Death is Pluto and Scorpio in astrology and I am currently having Pluto transit my 5th house.

I find it interesting, positions 2 and 3. That describes to me someone who has not yet let go of the past. There just hasn't been anything "good enough" to compare yet so, you are having trouble moving on.
Positions 4 and 5 are a unit to me since a healthy relationship requires both give and take to some degree. Again, what you need to give yourself is the ability to release, maybe forgive, not sure. Yes, you've lost a lot but, it's not all over and gone as you are suspecting. And, what you need to receive is your own admission that you are beautiful and delightful, deserving and also capable of trusting yourself in a very changeable arena (love).
How you find love will be through your profession but, since it is reversed, you simply are not looking or seeing because of the aforementioned. It is blocked but, at the same time highlighted because it is reversed. Recognizing you are stable and attuned to your own needs and can trust yourself and blend all this with common-sense will guide you. You are very practical so, it will be found by being practical in some way rather than just throwing yourself out there. Plan, vision, imagine and trust your intuition.
I think once you acknowledge the past is over and done you will be able to accept or see that transformative relationship you are looking for but, let's be honest; how frightening is that: transformation! Part of you is not quite ready for an atom bomb sort of change. Love is scary (well, it seems to be from what I see here), it can send you running wild and uncontrolled and lose yourself again...I think you are protecting yourself from that and trying to maintain as much stability as possible, right now (Hermit).

Wow this is a beautiful interpretation!
I have a lot of problems of let go and you are correct though the last relationship was painful in many ways but yet no one seem to be good enough still.
I also need to forgive myself that is very true also. That is why I am hoping for transformation that will Release me from the past and become a better me. I want to move on and I need this person to help me to move on. Logically, I need to do all these, emotionally is At Panic Mode....
I demand a lot of myself if I can't give 100% I would rather go absolutely 0% typical Scorpio with Venus/Neptune square so intense and delusional well....can be intense and ideal I suppose. I am not satisfy for 80 or 90% but 100% that is why I must prepare for that Atomic Bomb...
Right now Pluto is transiting my 5th and Neptune in the 7th cusp just the perfect combo...and the weird thing happened just after this Tarot was done...I think the transits really doing something out of ordinary....The life lesson of unconditional love, giving more and taking less is simply the way Neptune's signature in 7th cusp. I can only hope I do survive the Atomic bomb.
Thank you for the interpretation

You're fine. You are just fine. Have compassion with yourself. Are you at all interested in Kuan-Yin? The Empress reminds me of her sometimes....perhaps you can turn her right side up and see what advice she has to say then.

Re: Tarot interpretation help please
The reason I ask is there is a book, an oracle of sorts (I noticed you also were into Ba Zhi) written by Marina Lighthouse. She translated a book of poems attributed to the Kuan Yin oracle....just a thought.

Haha I know what you mean now when you said Kuan yin I have no ideas since I never used that name LOL. Now I am not into Kuan Yin. Only owned two set of Tarot Cards. But I use Tarot cards when I am most confused and unsure myself and it always works very well for me.
I did an annual prediction early this year, a total of 3 times in separate oocusion and each time turned out the same message around August to September that should be the time relationship would become formal. I had the Death card turn out each time, stating a brand new begining since the sunrise in the death card. Then transits/progressions and Horary are all matching the messages that I got earlier this year even before I started learning astrology. So yes very scary.

Re: Tarot interpretation help please
According to the "Ultimate Guide to Tarot Card Meaning"
The reversed Empress is asking me not to Mother/overprotective my partner, hmmmm apparently I do that a lot.....since my Moon in 5th that is how I behaved in romance so usually attracting mummy's boy. Not good! Lol

Re: Tarot interpretation help please
I always thought Kuan Yin was a Buddhist goddess never heard of an oracle.
The empress reversed there in the 'take' is that YOU need comfort, mothering. You may provide a service of counseling to the other person in some manner or you met in unfortunate circumstances.
Yes the tarot is good to have handy to give you a scenario...identify your problem, how do you help it, etc. as sometimes we cannot know which way is up when we are buried in the snow.

I had just met a person required immediate counselling and affections 1hr after this Tarot was done. Yes...from personal experiences. Tarot is incredible accurate. The only worry is the current Neptune's transit...when this transit finishes in another 13 years time, I might wake up and reckon myself was fully insane or as a saint.
My natal Part of Fortune in Cancer in 11th house, I do tend to nurture others while feeling greatly satisfied and had done that for many years in my last relationship as well as toward his family which turned out he was completed spoiled!!! And I had to suffer my own faults!!! I was so drained from the inside out. People do take advantage on me due to that. So....anyway is really out of my control. Empress and Queen of Pentacles are both very feminine cards. I am aware of the moderation of nurturing and mothering is the key...
Thank you so much for you input again
P.S. I always wonder if that has to do with my Libra Venus conjunction with Virgo Mars, while Venus in fall in Virgo makes love/service to other as the characteristic...with both square by Neptune from 4th house...I had a tendency of mixing sympathy and love really badly...

Re: Tarot interpretation help please
Since the situation is becoming more confusing. I drew a new spread "You and Me"
1) My feelings are: Reversed 5 of Cups
2) My desires are: 8 of Cups
3) My regrets are: Queen of Swords
4) His feelings are: Queen of Pentacles
5) His desires are: Death
6) His regrets are: Queen of Wands
7) Our Future is: 4 of Cups
For me the section:
At the moment, I do feel that there are struggles and blockages in me, that causes me fail to see the blessings from after losing 3 cups and refused to acknowledge that there are two cups behind me or waiting for me to be discovered.
8 of Cups, a man walking alone with disappointments due to the missing two cups in his journey which reflects back to the first card 5 of cups where two cups are still standing....perhaps my desire is to search for these two cups.
Queen of Swords, a woman in authority with the power of penetrating intellect and judgement regradings to facts and matters. Perhaps I am regretting of being too critical in my previous relationship and even for this potential one.
For the him section:
His feelings right now is perhaps feeling warm and able to get the affections and attentions as he required. The Queen of Pentacles is looking/ focusing on her only Pentacle in the card. Pentacles are still representing material things not the kind of emotional fulfillment like the Cups representing. Pentacles are a lot more practical like all the Earth elements yet this security and warmth is stable and solid like Earth.
Death again intense transformation of the self perhaps through this relationship or interactions in this relationship.
Queen of Wands, this one I don't know how to interpret is a Card of Fire element, passionated and assertive but in his regret section so regreting of being overconfident and impulsive but then this is Queen not King of Wands.
The last one the future is a very interesting 4 of Cups, a man thinking under the tree looking away from the Cup from Divine. There are 3 Cups in front of him, he had not open his hands to accep this 4th Cup from the Divine yet. At this stage, the relationship is uncertain and require considerable time to consider; but then this Cup is from the Divine...
From my reference book, the man in 4 of Cups is too focusing on his mediation and focus in his inside world withdrawal self out from human connection. Due to he pays no attention to the Cups in front the obvious gifts from the water elements and reluctant to accep the gift of love so he is likely to miss his chance...
But then it would mean the need of reflection. At the beginning stage which means no commitment is being made or reject romantic opportunity and warning the native not be too specific on his selection criteria.
Hope you guys can share some insights as well.
Thank you!

Re: Tarot interpretation help please
my two cents worth - IMO - re: idea of 'death of desires' when considered within a relationship scenario illlustrates a 'metaphorical death' of personal desires and their transformation into desires mutual with the partners and therefore indicates perhaps major changes of focus and/or sublimation of personal desires

INTERESTING 100 WORD QUOTE FROM "KUAN YIN THE COMPASSIONATE REBEL" ARTICLE AT http://www.exoticindiaart.com/article/kuanyin/
"Kuan Yin, beloved goddess of over a billion people worldwide. Her name signifies her compassionate nature – literally meaning 'One who hears the cries of the world.'
Kuan Yin is Chinese version of the male god Avalokiteshvara, the patron deity of compassion.
Fascinating to observe that nowhere in India (where he originated) or Tibet (where he remains the most popular deity) is the latter ever deified as a female figure.
In China his worship began as a male god, but changed into a goddess and by the ninth century her popularity as Kuan Yin had prevailed over that of Avalokiteshvara's"

Yes Kuan Yin is originally a handsome young man but too handsome that he looks almost like a woman. But should take note that he has no breasts!! (sorry I am being very naughty here LOL)
Regrading to the Death card, I met him at the most critical turning point of his life...he has Pluto transiting his 7th house at the moment which is opposite the the Ego house so dramatic changes or complete destruction at this point of his life. By the time this transit completed, he would be different person. And perhaps with my Neptune transit I am here to help him through this transition.. That is indeed a Karmic meeting...My Sun, Mercury and Part of Spirit conjunct his Part of Fortune....his own POF trine both of his AC and MC...
Thank you Jupiter for you 2cents in my piggy bank hahaha
