What career path - please read vedic chart?

Dear Vedic Astrologers,

I seek your advice on my career prospects. I have been working in the Government for the past 7 years and it has brought nothing but pain along with some family tragedies, suffering, many enemies including closest family members, loss of good name, attempts to ruin my reputation, and genuine misfortune to me and my family. Please is this career for me, should i continue pursuing a career in the Government sector or does my chart show a different career path for me?
I am Magha Moon, capricorn Ascendant and I know i am in my sadesati till August, I guess Sun is seen as a Government significator, my Sun dasha has ended this year, Sun must be a functional malefic in my chart, and i also have some not so good i guess placements in Simha. Leading me to wonder what am i even suppose to be doing career wise?
What career path does my chart indicate. Please respond?

Depression - it used to be bad a few years ago, but because i was working i did not have time to really be depressed, but last year the depression kicked in again, now i am feeling a bit better again.

Certainly, your family, job is not comfortable.
Moon is lord of 7th house (Lord of spouse/partner etc) is in8th house. With Asc. lord and 2nd Lord saturn, and Rahu. Depression and not so appreciable length of relationship. Either self sick or partner will have health issues.
How is your Backbone- lower part? If no issue then please take care.

I have a degree in Communications, my job profile was administrative work, but i was applying for a higher position - investigative work in law enforcement.

I have some digestive problems, but other than that i am OK.

Fine, digestive issue, its OK.
Regarding communication + investigating part is your area of working for this period. Because 7th Lord moon is in 8th house and lord of Mahadasha is moon, Imaginations in undiscovered area, with communication.
Moon Mahadasha will help you in this field, Moon/MOOn/Mars will help you. Nov. onwards, new responsibilities.
It can be before that also, Moon can give you sudden position.
Be cheerful, and creative.
