Since this comes at tense times, I'm guessing it means financial situations will reset ego.

For the debt crisis in Europe and USA, this might be the acceptance that no clever policy will pull a rabbit out of a magic hat. For the past few years, officials in government and financial system have been bickering over how to put the house of cards back together again. They want to avoid the responsibility of past mistakes and return to the good times. All efforts have proven ineffective and only delayed the inevitable at a heavy cost. Now venus might be asking everyone to control their ego and accept the necessary sacrifices.

Since the mutual reception of conservative saturn and resourceful pluto supports austerity, I guess we will know by the end of this year whether responsibility is accepted voluntarily or is forced tragically.

A number of astrologers have predicted that 2013 is when the euro would be in trouble, but a rebirth of the euro before then could make this analysis irrelevant as there would be a new chart. At the time, there was talk of a northern euro and a southern euro.

Merkel presently suggested that further bailouts of euro member countries should surrender their fiscal sovereignty.

Today's lunar eclipse preceding the venus transit was conjunct the euro's pluto.

Will Europe mover closer together with fiscal integration? Wouldn't that open the door for more political integration in Europe? Loss of sovereign independence? Are the planets plotting to force Europeans to give up more of their national and cultural identities to support a more integrated Europe?

My impression is that a waxing Uranus/Pluto square is a suppose to be constructive to preceding trends (pain of birth), rather than ending a trend without clear direction. I guess the difference between a waxing and waning square depends on perspective.
