My Dog is dying of cancer.
My dog is dying of Cancer. This is a horary question about him.
I don't want to judge it for myself. Please don't feel like you are being harsh with what you see. I am wondering whether I should take the summer off to go live in my mother's city. Since her retirement, my dogs have gone to live with her. It was better for everyone as the dogs are getting old and need attention.
The one that is very sick has recently had many surgeries- (teeth, tumors removed, castrated), and the most recent tumor removed is thought to be stage three cancer. They believe that he has less than 4 months to live. Only 6% of dogs in his condition survive up to 1500 days at this point.
He's a tiny little guy- 8lbs.
Anything you see will be appreciated..
I cast this horary chart (in tears of course- I suppose that is why Saturn is right on the AC)...
The exact question is as on the chart:
"Will he be gone (passed away) before July?"
Obviously I want to know more about his situation but it is difficult to ask, because I know that he probably won't make it.
Here was a chart I asked when I first found out, asking if I should go right away...
He lives with my mother and it's a fairly long distance, at least 3 hours flying or 18 hours driving. It's in the same country though.

Re: My Dog is dying of cancer.
(Following is not in accordance with standard horary practice ands uses whole sign house format)
Sorry to hear about your dog. I will not delineate the first horary since I personally choose not to do death-clock predictions (even for our animal friends!)
However, regarding the second horary about returning home (ie, to your mother's home)
-querent = 1st house = Virgo = Mercury
-your mother's home = 4th house from the mother's signifying house (10th) = Virgo = Mercury (so querent and mother's home both have same significator, ie, Mercury)
-long distance travel = 9th house = Taurus = Venus
-querent's co-significator = Moon
-Mercury is in 8th house (-)under Aries (Mars), and Mercury flows toward Mars (+) so here we have net neutral testimony
-Mercury flows toward Venus (long distance travel) and also applies to a sextile with Venus = + testimony
-Venus is in the 10th house (+) but also in the sign (Gemini) positing the SN (-) so again, net neutral testimony
-Moon flows away from both Venus and Mercury = - testimony
-Mercury flows away from the Part of Fortune = - testimony
-Lot of Rectitude (ie, right or correct action) (ascendant+mars-mercury) falls @ 26 Capricorn
a) significators, Mercury, Venus flow away from the Lot = - testimony
b) Lot's significator, Saturn, approaching opposition to Mercury = - testimony
Results:
Positive (meaning yes it would be a good idea to go immediately) = +1 testimony
Negative (meaning no it is not necessary to go immediately) = -4 testimonies
Net = -3 testimonies
With a net-3 testimonies, indications are that it is not "best" to immediately return home/move to mother's home; this does NOT mean that this action should be avoided in the future, just that at this time it is not the best thing to do, or perhaps, it is not the NECESSARY action to take at this time.
Best wishes!

Re: My Dog is dying of cancer.
Thank you for that. I understand your not wanting to judge the first one. Although my abilities with horary are limited, I feel like he isn't going to make it much longer, but I asked the second question because I am just not sure when to go see him. The vet himself said that at this stage of cancer, he may only live a few more months and I want to spend his last months with him so I want to go at the right time. I think I will be able to spend two months there but when to go is the problem. The earliest I think I will go is June.
Thank you tremendously for the horary work you did! I truly appreciate it as this was a very important question for me and I don't have as many skills yet to do it myself.

Re: My Dog is dying of cancer.
From the horary, I would say that late May or June would be a good period of time for you to make your journey.

Re: My Dog is dying of cancer.
Update:
Just wanted to leave an update if anyone was interested in checking their analysis if they happen to read the chart.
The first tumor removed from near his nose was stage three cancer and brought us the news of his impending death.
Recently, we had an ultrasound and xrays and they came back with news that there are no more growths at the moment. So, it turns out that he is okay for now.
However, the xrays did show that he has 2 badly degenerated disks in his spine, which clear up why he is still in so much pain. He is getting treatment for this now.

Re: My Dog is dying of cancer.
Just for those who tied to read the charts about my dog and his cancer, his cancer grew back after an operation to remove it. There is nothing more the vet can do. He hasn't passed yet but the cancer is stage 3 and visibly growing. It's on his nose. Other than that he is doing fairly well.

Re: My Dog is dying of cancer.
Thanks for the update: notice that it is now well past July (2012) and the dog is still with us! Still, I am sorry that the condition has remained and advanced.
Regarding the first horary chart (will he be gone before July, 2012), notice (in whole sign parameters) that the dog's significator Jupiter (lord of the 6th house under Pisces) is in the 8th whole sign house, but also that the lord of the 8th, Venus, flows away from the dog's significator Jupiter, which (in the Ankara horary approach) would be - testimony (a no answer to that question), and also that the Moon (generic indicator of changes) flows away from both significators (dog's Jupiter and 8th house lord Venus), which is additional support for a "no" answer to that horary question (dog being gone before July 2012) Also, when we consider the Anairetai (Lot of the Killing Planet. ascendant+ moon-lord of the ascendant, which in this case is venus), the Anairetai falls @ 21 Pisces-and note that the dog's significator Jupiter, and the Moon (as well as lord of the 8th house, Venus) all flow away from the Lot-indicative again of a no answer to this "before July" question (although also note that the dog's significator is the same as the dispositor of the Anairetai Lot, and is in the dog's house, ie the 6th house of the chart, which would not bode well for the dog's future, but nevertheless, the significators flowing away from the Anairetai Lot do support the no answer to this SPECIFIC time question regarding July/or before July, 2012)

Re: My Dog is dying of cancer.
If your dog is still alive, there is a whole range of supplements which you can give him.
Start with lots of blueberries, which have potent anticancer activity, largely due
to two of its components - pterostilbene and delphinidin.
Or you can buy pterostilbene supplements from health food stores, which, together
with resveratrol and polydatin, form a powerful anticancer combination.
Blueberry extracts, together with pomegranate extracts, another cancer-fighting
combination, can also be found in health food store formulations.

Re: My Dog is dying of cancer.
Wow, thank you. He is still alive and still shows happiness, but often in pain in the middle of the night.
I've been feeding him brown seaweed daily.
He has nasal cancer with an open sore on his nose. An operation was done last January (2012) and not all could be removed. We thought it was gone though from xrays and ultrasounds. It grew back by august. Comfort is all we can do now. It is progressing rapidly and a large growth appeared 2 months ago. It appears to be on the lymph nodes of the throat. It was the size of a small berry when found and is now half the size of an egg. We worry that it will suffocate him. It is growing so rapidly.

The seaweed is good, definitely try some of the supportive remedies mentioned in Tham's post.

Re: My Dog is dying of cancer.
Dr. Farr,
I'm sorry to hear about your family member your dog is going to perish soon.
Now I have heard from someone that I'm Not certain if they know their horary, who says they study John Frawley that one can ask a query again.
Yet as I understand Lilly and the Ancients wrote that a question is a One Time deal; as you are insulting the spirits who are aiding us, and we are Not alone working on our horary!
So I'm confused with your Original Post, in that is your second chart the Original Query.?
You possibly know that the 6th is your pet, and when you rotate the horoscope to where the horary's 6th becomes the derived Asc., representing your cannine you look at the new derived 8th for the pet's death.
What is the new derived 8th's lord?
And how is it aspected?
I sware some of God's horary children may be going feral to re-ask, or ask a dozen horarys because they did Not like the original answer!
Dr. Farr and Forum, it really helps if for your chart style that one uses WEB STYLE or LIZ GREENE STYLE as one can read the numeric values right next to the planet's glyph, the style presented is hard to read by some in preference!
