A Review of Mars’ Retrograde Motion Through the Zodiac in the Context of the USA Birth Chart
It began on the 23rd of January when Mars was at 23° Virgo [declination 6N02], smack on top of Neptune (22VIR51) in the 9th house of the USA birth chart. This transit for the United States held the purpose of holding up the Martial impulse for re-examination, to see what was inherently toxic within it that needed to be purged, healed, changed. The 9th house is the house of the ‘big’ and over-arching: legal concepts and frameworks, guiding philosophies of belief, as well as policy towards the world and foreign nations.
Then it squared the USA Mars (21GEM24) February 8; squared the Asc (21SAG04) on the 10th of February. Then on February 26 its declination position was 9N27, making a parallel (P) to the USA Chiron [9N05], Mars’ first to a point in the USA chart during its retrograde motion. This was when Trayvon Martin was killed.
Soon after Rush Limbaugh made dozens of on-air misogynist insults towards Sandra Fluke. It brings to mind the thought that some kill with guns – unintentionally perhaps – but others use words to assassinate one with ad hominem attacks.
