Exclamation What kind of work am I supposed to be doing? 3 planets in 6th house

I have 3 planets in my 6th house. You will find my tropical chart attached to this.

So far I have only JUST realized how Uranus in my 6th house is affecting my lifestyle.

I can't last 10 minutes without having mental stimulation I get so anxious.

But I can't interpret what kind of work I should be doing based on the aspects of those 3 planets as well because I don't know enough information about the planets themselves.

Please help I have been going through such an intense experience.

If you could give us an idea of what you are thinking about doing. I see that you could do chiropractic work and working with government
and as it is an earthy practical influence with Sun Mercury Virgo connected in a good way it is possible to be involved with organic farming and products. Having a little cafe where people can also bring their pets and it is the hub of the local gossip scene. Neptune in the 6th can bring confusion about what to do for work but it also a healing and rehabilitative influence. You may bake marijuana cookies lol!!! and sell them or be involved with hotels and other liquor outlets.

Re: What kind of work am I supposed to be doing? 3 planets in 6th house

hi astrogod,

you have an interesting chart that is not easy for me to decipher! mars in gemini is exactly conjunct your midheaven degree so that will have much bearing on your work and direction in life. i think it explains your comment "I can't last 10 minutes without having mental stimulation I get so anxious" also..

the 6th house is a 2ndary place to look for vocational indicators. there are a few ways to look for vocational indicators too.. one of them is planet rising ahead of the sun which is venus in your chart.. ordinarily i would look to the midheaven with planets making favourable aspects to the midheaven degree like jupiter in your chart.. however the fact jupiter is on the south node has got me thinking about just how this fits in with your career path.. would you consider yourself a generous person?

yours is a nocturnal chart.. the moon is stronger, as are mars and venus given this distinction.. jupiter is also very strong by planetary phase in your chart. mars rules your moon - 9th house area and scorpio which is the 4th sign to leo ascendant. i wonder about doing work and living in another country, or some form of exchange of needed goods from one region to another in the greater area you live in.. transportation is a gemini thing, as is communication, but since mars seems emphasized, along with moon in aries, i think more action oriented work is a better fit..

some charts might be an easier read in terms of career direction.. with venus square onto the midheaven and saturn squaring onto your moon, it is not so easy to get a read here.. i think something where you have greater independence and freedom to move around is going to be a better fit for you on some level.. i think the planets in the 6th are helpful in that they trine your virgo planets, but i don't see how they dovetail with your midheaven as much.. i think the sun/saturn trine is helpful in creating more of a disciplined and practical focus to whatever you do end up doing.. good luck working it out...

Re: What kind of work am I supposed to be doing? 3 planets in 6th house

Thank you very much for your reply I am grateful that you took the time to respond.

I've been thinking alot about acting and singing outlets as it is a constant source of mental stimulation, which therefore makes me think about what kind of Jobs could allow me that infinite flow of fascination, otherwise I'll Just leave.

Hahahaha marijuana cookies?! and sell them at the cafe hahaha, sorry. That all seems quite possible to be honest.

I should've also mentioned my 10th house, silly me. I have mars conjunct vesta in the 10th house?

I have absolutely no idea how to interpret that, I'm a beginner.

The 6th is supposed to be how you work, how you feel about work, and feel about providing service. Uranus near cusp of 6th would make you unique, unconventional, brilliant, radical at how you work and provide service. Uranus as ruler of descendent/7th in 6th would give a sense of treating coworkers/employers/employees as partners, equals and wanting to relate on a one-to-one basis, but in a cool, detached, rational, logical, unemotional manner. Uranus in capricorn would manifest its brilliance in a structured, disciplined, responsible way. Uranus also signifies new technologies - maybe you feel at ease with all the latest technologies.

Uranus saturn trine your sun mercury would enhance qualities of uranus but also give stability of thoughts. Mars, as the most elevated planet, in gemini would give you a certain amount of impatience, dynamism, need for speed and freedom. Moon in aries increases these qualities.

The midheaven/10th is more about career. Mars, ruler of 8th, in gemini near MC would maybe have you wanting a career where action, speed, intellect are required - maybe in communication, entertainment, media, travel industries. The MC's ruler, mercury, in 1st in virgo alongwith sun and venus would greatly increase your analytical abilities. The stellium in virgo would point to a talent for analysis. Uranus in capricorn, an earth sign, would give brilliance in structured, earthy, tangible fields. Pluto in scorpio conjunt your 3rd cusp would want to study, research, question, investigate, communicate in a meaningful, deep manner - whereas jupiter in leo in 12th would give you an abundance, faith, generosity in spirituality, alongwith a high degree of ethics, morals, values, principles. Perhaps you could be an analyst, critic, commentator?

Do you find this to be true about yourself?

I too have a stellium of 3 planets (venus, mercury, neptune) in the 6th in sagitarius. This does make me want to want to "seek the truth" in whatever I am working on - I am not willing or able to just accept previous knowledge at face value. Neptune is also the ruler of my MC/10th which perfectly describes the nebulous "jack of all trades" type of work I do with my mba degree, wanting to help and be of service.

Just my thoughts - I'm an amatuer astrologer.

Re: What kind of work am I supposed to be doing? 3 planets in 6th house

In interpreting career I begin with the MC and work outwards from there.
As sandstone has already mentioned, Mars in Gemini so closely conjunct your Gemini MC will tend to influence the kinds of work you look for. Mars in Gemini is changeable, so anything you set your heart on right now will most likely not be relevant in 12 months, so I can almost say: It doesn't matter what you do, so long as you do something.

Your MC is ruled by Mercury in Virgo in the 1st - in a stellium with sun, venus and (surprisingly) Ceres.
Carris has already mentioned the analytical nature of Mercury in Virgo, and that Virgo stellium in the 1st house. However, Virgo is also about healing, and so any kind of work which looks at the connection between mind and body will interest you - but perhaps this will begin to interest you in the future, as Pluto is just about to enter your 6th house by transit. This means that during the next decade or so your idea of what `work' is and how you are best able to contribute will change slowly over time.

For now, you need to be looking at anything which takes into account the following:
* a need for communication with others
* the ability for you to work in different places
* being able to express yourself as you are, as opposed to what others want you to be
* something which has the ability to engage you and stimulate you mentally

You mention acting and singing, but I'm thinking that if you have any kind of poet inside you, you cold be a singer-songwriter, with the emphasis on the songwriting. But that's not a job as such, but something you can work at in your own time and develop your skills over time.

I was only joking about the cookies.

Thank you for your reply, each and every one of these posts is alot of information to take in for a beginner as simple as it is to you.

This has all narrowed me down to one career in particular, a comedian.

I do love to tell funny stories, I would love to be a TV presenter.
As you have listed above all those things can dictate quite well with a career as a comedian.

Not only will I be living off the energy off my fellow audience but it will allow me to express who I really am, I would like to represent a great cause that is important to me.

As I do on an often basis feel such deeply strong sympathy for the less fortunate.

To be honest I don't think I could've put a clearer picture as to what kind of career I could be doing, without the help of good astrologers, thank you very much, I am very grateful.

AstroGod, I think you have hit on something that could work for you, and these days there are plenty of places where you can go to try out your comedy and figure out what works for you and what doesn't.

Comedy is a regular outlet now for those who can tell a good story and make people laugh. If you can work on putting together a good routine or two, then the world is your stage. I once read somewhere that Jim Carrey lived with his Dad and his father moved around a lot so Jim changed schools often. He learned to get along with kids in his new schools by being the class clown.

Dawn French - British comedian/writer/TV person - also moved schools a lot because her Dad was in the air force, so she also had to learn how to get along with the kids in the schools she attended. She said that as a result of this she learned to make up (fake) stories about herself, and to be entertaining to other children.

Good luck with it.

Ahh yes, I believe me and those comedians have something in common, I too, moved schools alot because my mother kept changing residence, I was back and forth between my Mum and my dad as they split up before I turned one years old.

I think I may need more than good luck from Jupiter.
