question on end of matter house

hi....

for relationship questions (actually probably any horary question) how do you determine the end of house matter? is it always the natural 4th house of the chart or do you "turn" the chart to reflect the fourth for the category the question ends up?

for example... if it's communiation question do you go 4 houses turned from the chart of the 3rd house of communication so you'd use the 6th house as the end of matter? and if it's a romance do you turn 4 houses from the natural 5th and use the turned 8th house as the end of matter? and a final example if you are asking about the other person do you take the 4th house turned so you'd used the 10th house as the end of matter? if neither approach is correct, how do you go about determining the end of matter house to look at? i'm still confused on this point and would like to know that i'm accurately looking to the house that is the correct end of matter in horary relationship questions.

Hi Jag, I hope I am saying it correctly (otherwise Radu or Draco will correct I hope!) but I take the natural 4th house if I pose a personal question (I mean for myself, like: where did I put my glasses sort of question) and if someone else asks the question in my presence, I also take the 4th house, because then the person falls in the first (and the 4th is then his or her end of the matter house). It is either you who asks and you take the 4th of the Ascendant or you take the other person and that person takes the Ascendant place and then it is also his or her 4th that counts. So I believe that it does not matter what the question is about. It should always be the 4th house of the querent, whether it be you or someone else. So even if I ask about my brother and his wife and if they will stay together, I am the one asking the question about the outcome of their marriage and therefore I will look at my 4th house. I hope this is the right way to go about it. I understand your conflict here, I also wonder if I then should not look at the 4th of the 3rd for my brother to see HIS end of the matter house or the 4th of the 9th house house to see HER end of the matter, but then we end up with 2 end of the matter houses. If my brother comes to me and asks about the same thing, or his wife for that matter, then the one who asks the question becomes the Ascendant and automatically his or her 4th house will show the end of HISor HER matter. Hope this helps clarify a bit. (and should I be wrong then I really do hope the experts amongst us will tell me so!!).

thanks so much for answering that. and what you said makes absolute sense; the then two end of matter houses. i'm not sure where i got that idea but i think i saw it somewhere on the internet and was like whoa you are doing it wrong! but then i thought what you said.... what happens to the actual fourth house, it doesn't go a-w-a-y? i appreciate your help on this!
