Please help with missing cat
Dear Horary Astrologers
Please could you try to help locate a friend's cat which has been missing since last night. The cat is female, and white with some dark grey. In case its relevant, her temperament is sensitive and affectionate/clingy.
Very many thanks

Re: Please help with missing cat
Just to be sure which houses to use, can we clarify the question? Who asked this, you as the friend and trying to help, and in that case what is the nature of the friendship (close buddy, acquaintance, romantic). Or was your friend aware that you would cast a chart, so they asked you at the recorded time. Is the question if she will return, or when will she, or is she alright, or the negative question is she not alright.

Re: Please help with missing cat
friend is 11th house, unless lover 7th.
6th house from friend or lover's (turned chart) is pet. if pet is like child, 5th ~ as fensii has described and i agree. where/how pet is lost is 12th house from pet significator.
moon in relation to querant important ~ shows emotional involvement.
if in bad relation, querant is annoyed. look to querant's 8th, 12th for subtext.
is pet in earth house? okay. water, scary. air ~ wandering lost.
look to 3rd of friend for neighbors with info ~
pof will bring benefit good news or bad news.
look to pet's 5th and 11th for party zones, 6th/12t for injury or confinement.
where's it getting fed? pet's second.
Ask Fensii, she's got all the details.

Re: Please help with missing cat
Hi Wintersprite. It was my idea to cast the chart and the chart is cast for the moment I put the question to the forum. The owners of the cat - well one is my son, and the other is his mother, but my friend rather than a partner. Sorry! Not very straightforward.
Thanks for responding

Re: Please help with missing cat
Thanks MaeMae. I couldn't really follow it though.
Yes its 11th rather than 7th. And it is 'just' a pet rather than being a surrogate child.
If the 11th is my friend, is the 6th from the 11th the 4th? In which case 12th from friend's pet is the 3rd.
And 3rd of 11th would be the first for where friend can get info.
That's as far as I can get from your post. I don't know Horary at all. Thanks for responding.

Re: Please help with missing cat
I will come back to this thread after doing some mom things. This link is to Kaiousei no Senshi and my blog site, Where is Pretty Kitty This is a horary that Kai (Ryoin) did for me when my cat went missing, he was very accurate. Hopefully, some instruction can be used from there. LOL, google seems to have Lost Cat and that blog right up there, he gets requests and lots of hits on missing cats.
TK
Look at Pretty Kitty's round pumpkin shaped face.... she is a Cancer. I freaked when she went missing while there were young kittens.

Re: Please help with missing cat
6th house from pet.
i'll leave it for someone else to determine if your ex wife is friend or ex wife ~ diff btwn 11/7th house. son as part of family or child alone? 4th / 5th.
for me, the relationship has to be spelled out ~ the subtext of question.
Querant is involved.
Is SAturn in 1st or 7th of this chart?

This is the part that is going to be the biggest stumbling block. Until we can really ascertain who the owner of the cat is, it's going to be impossible to move forward. If she got it for your son, then it's probably safe to claim it "his", but if the cat was for the family, then I'd go with his mother.
Also, the link has expired!

Re: Please help with missing cat
Hi Miquar!
The chart has expired. I'd go with an event chart myself (over a horary one): in an event chart, 1st house always represents the subject of the event (in this case, the cat) Do you have an approximate date/time when the cat was noticed to be missing?

Re: Please help with missing cat
Hi I'll redo the chart. I'd say the cat is my friend/ex-partner's rather than my son's. We aren't romantically involved, but our interaction does revolve mostly around our shared parenting of our son.
The cat went off about 10 pm UT or just after from a house in Lancaster, England on 29-2-2012. It was noticed to be missing the next morning around 7 am UT.

(Horary from yesterday)
Thanks again for your help.

I use photobucket, the link only expires if you ever remove the photo from there. I do think that a photo can be added to your AW profile page with that URL to the page and would be good until the photo was removed. Or you could save it to your computer and load it as a thumbnail as they never expire.

Re: Please help with missing cat
The cat was just found in someone's garden a couple of streets away, by the owner using her 'reiki radar'.
I'm very grateful to everyone who responded. And thanks for tips on posting charts Wintersprite.

Re: Please help with missing cat
What direction is that from their house?
Since this chart ended up having a happy ending, it'd be good idea for us to look into the chart and see what we can see.

Re: Please help with missing cat
Hi. The cat was found by her owner in a garden 120m East of it's home address (good old Google Earth!), and it is very unlikely that she got any further than that during the 44 hours she was out. She was found by her owner at about 18:10 UT. The back gardens where she was found back onto a high wall, on the other side of which is a high railway embankment. The cat's owner had a feeling last night that she was in that area.

Re: Please help with missing cat
Very happy to hear that the cat was found safe and sound! (I have 4 of these little friends myself)
Just set up an event chart on astro.com, using the 10PM time given above: (whole sign house format)
Significator of cat's home (4th whole sign house of chart), Saturn, is posited in the ascendant sign (Libra), in which sign the planet is exalted; further Saturn is retrograde, indicating return (to the home); yet Saturn is also in a pitted degree, which indicates that the cat was not (yet) trying to return home, and was satisfied where it was (at least for the time, hanging out in the nearby garden)
Cat was somewhat distressed (significator of ascendant sign, Venus, posited in detriment in Aries) Notice that cat's significator, Venus, is posited in Aries, which sign signifies the East direction (note also that Venus is in opposition to cat's home significator, Saturn, posited in Libra, Libra being the West direction of the compass)

Re: Please help with missing cat
Thanks, dr. farr, and also for the event chart demonstration. Yes she was distressed, and I think that she was hiding in the garden rather than roaming around looking for home, as I think she's quite agrophobic.
Best wishes to you and your feline friends.
