Should I just break it off ?? I cannot make up my mind HELP!!

Hi,
The girl I am seeing is moving away and we are not sure if we should give long distance a try or just break it off. We have been together for 6 months and I am still deeply in love with her. Maybe its because of the cultural background and the language barrier, I never felt truly connected to her but I just love to see her and be around her. She is probably the most perfect girl I met in my life who have all the qualities I can long for. She thinks I am the nicest guy and the best bf she has ever had and she said she doesn't think she will find anyone who will treat her better than I do. I have a friend who knows some astrology so I asked him to take a look at our charts. He told me our synastry chart is pretty good but the composite chart is just terrible, and that is why we love each other so much right now but on the long run the relationship just won't work. He thinks its maybe better to let it go now and move on. Would people please have a look at the charts for me to confirm or disprove his advice? Thank you so much in advance!!

Your composite doesn't look so bad to me, it looks to me like you could communicate well together (if you speak different languages, perhaps you could learn one another's or find a common language- English?), interesting and exciting new ideas could come up between you ( Jupiter con. Mercury)., the square from Uranus could mean you challenge each other's belief systems and traditions (coming from different cultures?).

Sun, Uranus and NN form a grand trine, which indicates that the relationship can bring positive changes for both of you. It also points at a deeper connection between the 2 of you, you could help each other grow a lot.

Moon in 5th house and Venus in 7th are good placements for a close relationship.

The challenging aspects are all quiet far apart, i would say they don't have such a strong influence.


For the synastry you need to post your two individual birthchart, so one can see the degrees of planets and points.

Thank you for looking through the charts and giving me some hope this might work. Are you not concerned with all the moon squares aspect in the composite? To be honest I am a bit afraid to commit myself. I don't think I can go through another painful heartbreak in my life.

Hi Chiahsun,

all the hard aspects to the moon (opposition to Saturn and squares to Jupiter/Mercury) in your composite have an orb of around 5°, so they are not very strong, I wouldn't overvalue them. I always look for close aspects in a composite to show an important dynamic between 2 people, and these are not at all close.

The synastry does show a number of favourable connections between you, in aspects and house placements. Again there appears to be an emphasis on communication, i don't know your situation , but i feel you need to find a way to talk to each other more, learn the language, etc.

There are a number of positive Saturn aspects too, which could make the relationship last.

Bina thank you so so much for looking through the chart again. You said again the emphasis in on communication. Do the charts suggest there are hard aspects on communication ? That is why I need to find a way to overcome that ?

Hi Chiahsun,
there's both easy and challenging aspects to your Mercury in both composite and synastry. It looks to me like some good communication between you is possible (your Venus conjunct her Mercury in synastry and Jupiter/Mercury conjunction in the composite- these are very helpful aspects for good communication in a relationship) , but it may at times get disrupted (influence from Uranus).
You mentioned language barrier in your first post, do you come from different countries and speak different languages? Is there a way you could overcome this?

Hi Bina,
Thanks for the answer. We communicate in English, but I often find myself having trouble expressing myself precisely when I am speaking in a second language. There are certain words in Mandarin that cannot be translated into English and when speaking in English the emotion attachment behind the language is just not there for me. Hearing her saying I love you feels very different when its spoken in Mandarin than English. We talk and the message can get across fine. I dunno maybe its just in my head cuz she doesn't think there is a problem.

I feel you need to learn something of/teach each other your native languages, just be free and playful with it, since Uranus and Jupiter are having a big influence on your communication..
I've been in relationships with people of different cultures who speak different languages and as long as both people want it to work, communication can be a bit challenging sometimes, but on the whole it works and can be rewarding too!
