Grotesque placements; Wonderful aspects

Hello everyone.

I've always had problems and difficulties. Probably the main reason I became interested in astrology was to discover the reasons for the difficulty I face in my life. I remember when I first created my natal chart. Of coures at the time I didn't have a clue what any of it meant, but I read up on individual things, and it made scense. Yet a part of my chart never seemed to make scense, whether I read an explination, or tried to figure it out myself, I was stuck. It took me some time to find out that I have poor house placements. About half of the planets in my chart are placed in houses they don't feel comfortable in, and a few of the aspects are noticiably difficult.

I have:
-sun in the 8th house (I know the 8th house is traditionaly death, but has been reasigned to things like rebirth)
-Sun in libra (fall)
-moon in the 12th house
-moon in capricorn (fall)
-saturn in capriorn (home, which makes it better at making me depressed)
-saturn also in the 12th house, in a conjunction to my moon.
-neptune in the 12th house (I've heard here this is difficult, also 'accidental dignificatoin').
-Mars in the 4rth house (heard this causes family trouble)
-Sun square uranus (when uranus is in the 11th, so accidentaly dignified I think)
-Sun square my 12th house neptune
-Chiron in the 6th house, opposite my moon in capricorn.
-venus in virgo (fall)

From what I've read about these, my life should be horrible, full of depression, soaked in loneliness, stuffed with delusion and wounds, marinaded with misery, have plenty of pang, be teeming with torment, bountiful with despair, cramed with calamity, and jammed with jinxes. My placements seem to be where my despair comes from. If anyone knows of any placement that is worse, please tell me, so I can feel better; if there is a worse placement that I don't know about, I probably have it.

Here's where the confusion kicks in. Even though I have super-downright ugly placemenets, my aspects are amazing!
I have:
-Sun trined to mars, north node, and my ascendant; sextile jupiter.
-Venus tried to my IC, moon, and ascendant.
-Mercury trined to moon, saturn, neptune; sextile pluto.
-Mars sextile jupiter
-And moon sextile pluto the IC.

Doesn't sound that cool in text, but my chart itself has a myrid of trines between my 12th and 8th house planets, and those planets to my IC.

The confusion lies here. Do my planets being poorly placed overpower my helpful aspects, vise-versa? Would all my trines and sextiles simply be "making the best of a bad placement" or would they have any net-gain when the placements are taken from them?

In a hard-confusing-overly-though-of nutshell, what does it mean if the placements are poor but the aspects are positive?

Also, I have such a heavy saturn, yet my mercury is in virgo and recieves a ton of trines and sextiles. Oddly enough, my sad saturn is trined to my happy mercury. This I have no idea what to make of.

Thanks to anyone who can squeegee my window and clear things up for me. I would grab your hand and shake it happily with thanks, but that would be difficult to do over the internet.

Edit: found this out after looking at the # of threads in the main forum, this is thread #666 of the Natal Astrology category. Just thought that was interesting...

It may, yet I don't think house placements vs. aspects depends on the persons age.

But I'm curious why you ask; what makes you want to know my age?

i was just wondering, no reason. it was the first question that came to my mind after i looked at your chart. i think you must be pretty young though probably still a teenager right? can you post a different version of your chart like maybe one from astro.com? its hard to look and consider your chart without knowing how tight the aspects are and what degrees the planets are located.

your placements aren't inherently bad, and your aspects aren't inherently good. its all about how you use them and how they manifest.

i kind of get a gothy kind of vibe from you and your chart...you're kind of really out there in front of people and you may kind of spook them with your interests and thoughts. do you like, collect comics or build models of things or something like that? just wondering.

Gothy? Sorry to be blunt, but you're way off. I'm guessing you get that "Gothic vibe" from my 12th and 8th house planets. Realy, I'm interested in secret hidden things, but I'm way off gothic. As for spooking people, I can be intimidating in person, but that's only if I've been denied something that shouldn't be talken away from me, like my right to an opinion.

Comics or models? Nope. Although I do collect fortune cookie fortunes (as you can tell by my ever-changing signature). I like to think of the fortunes as little pearls inside an oyster; break open the cookie and take the pearl .

Edit: Geez, I realy hate those "Similar Thread" things. My threads always get the worst ones. This time I got "I guess I'll never get married now........"

Re: Grotesque placements; Wonderful aspects

Here are my stressful aspects in the chart below, if it makes you feel any better . I have Mercury in fall and receiving a square from Neptune, Pisces ruler. But I wouldn't call them bad placements these placements/aspects are just representing challenges in this lifetime, lessons to learn. I have trines and sextiles also on this Mercury in fall. I feel the effect of all the aspects to my Mercury. I am quite lucky in receiving information at times. Sometimes I have stressed out over something and then the next week the very information I need will come to me, it's hard to explain because there is a contradiction to this as well because......

I have my Mercury Square to Neptune also which can make me very forgetful, and unfocused. And probably not very decisive. With this aspect I have lost important paperwork I have needed. Because I have been so disorderly and haven't put the important papers away. Or I don't pay attention to the bills that need paying. I forget to pay them so I will end up with a massive pile of bills . This will keep happening until I learn to order my chaotic environment. So If I constantly feel stressed in this area it is through my own fault by beng too passive, and not facing up to my responsibilty. Constantly trying to escape the boring everyday tasks, I am.
So there can be a contradiction, to my placements on the one hand I receive information but I also lose important information.

I don't think it matters if your planets are not well placed and you receive good aspects you will feel certain parts of your life is easier, and other parts of your life will feel frustrating until you learn how to use all your energy in a constructive way. It's all about how you use the energy in your chart.

Challenges in my chart
