Thumbs down Optimism disappeared recently

Since 2011 was finishing and 2012 was starting... I have experienced some changes in my personal life, for good or bad. Changes in home and relationships.
I have always been a happy person with very high optimism. But now I don't why I am experiencing this feeling. Its like a cloud of negativeness involving me, and for sure, I am feeling apathetic of starting new things, and I didn't was like that.
I have a schedule and I make exercise, eat healthy, work sporadically, I have good friends, university, and and other stuff like astrology, I like my appearance. That's why I don know why I am feeling so alone. For more I try to do things I used to when I was feeling good, I cannot chase that good feeling again.
I am sure this feelings are not because of the changes in my home and relationship.. I have been experiencing this since the last months of 2011.

I notice:

TRansiting Pluto opposing my Jupiter

T pluto is conjunct my Saturn in the 2nd house and I believe is compacting my feeling of unworthiness. And at is opposing my Jupiter (ruler of the 1st) then its lowing my optimism.

Will it last years? When will this feeling will go away?

I feel alone but at the same time I need to be alone with my self, and I don't have the urge to socialize as I did a couple of years ago.

Re: Optimism disappeared recently

hi virgo18

i think this is a passing thing.. i think the t pluto at this important opposition in your chart has something to do with this too.. there are always numerous astro factors going on at any one time.. the fact you are feeling this way at this moment and that it coincides with some important changes really seem to point to the idea of change and remaining fluid in the face of change.. t chiron and neptune are moving slowly towards an exact square of your ascendant, while saturn is in a slow move towards your ascendant.. in a way you can think of most of the outer planets with the exception of jupiter and uranus, all moving down into a more personal area of your chart, motivating you to reflect more on who you are and encouraging more introspection.. to me the most important transit to really understand is the transit of saturn and where it is moving in one's chart..

i think t pluto to saturn is a more difficult transit overall.. perhaps the push pull of the saturn/jupiter opposition with mercury square both ends, is being put under the micro scope for examination? ultimately i think you have a positive set up to your chart, but pluto is pulling you into the saturn a bit more at this time is kinda how i see it here.. hopefully some of this is of help.. cheers james

Red face Re: Optimism disappeared recently

Thank you Sandstone you really helped me

I knew this was something about transiting pluto focusing over my saturn lessons affecting my jupiter "optimism"...

I think last years I was living quite superficially... oI was not internalizing and correcting things that pushed me to make mistakes. Is like I wasn't accepting my real self? Or don't considering my worth? And now Pluto is forcing me to do so.

In March will be the exact conjunction... Hope positive things in my self come after that.

Also when Progressed Venus conjuncts my natal asc <3

thanks virgo18!

pluto transit is a slow moving thing... t saturn really is the one i follow most closely.. it moves slowly but puts everything under the magnifying glass for examination which some folks don't like! peace - james

Re: Optimism disappeared recently

I am actually going through this transit as well. It will be with you for about a year and a half and you will be really tested on your morals and ideals and emotional growth. You may particularly go through changes in finances or your attitude towards finances (like having a need to be secure financially) as well as figuring out how you value yourself and your life around you and the pleasures (perhaps the old things won't be as great as they once were).

I have my saturn in the 8th opposite jupiter in the second so we have opposite directions but still I feel you

Sandstone

Saturn is right now testing my house of friend's causing me to be loosing them one by one, but its because I am not more attracted to their friendship.

So I have this combo. The one of my Jupiter(affecting my physically, emotionally and my worth)... and at the same time Saturn is telling me which of my friends are real and which is not real.

So I am feeling quite alone (its horrible)... but at the same time is like a renewal.

Re: Optimism disappeared recently

I am really sorry that this is such a rough time for you Virgo! Take heart, it would seem that everyone is getting walloped by the outer planets as of late. I'm not too big into New Age theories, but it kinda makes me wonder about this collective evolving that is supposed to be happening. Maybe there is a truth to it because many people are being forced to face themselves in very real and often humbling ways and thus are evolving as an individual.

Anyway, enough pontification. I was just thinking that while it's hard to lose the things we love, our values, OUR WAY, its worse to try to hang on. I don't know how you most effectively grieve, but I suggest that if you can, you allow yourself to do so. Only after that can you let go of what was and begin to anticipate and look forward to what will be. (or regain your optimism).

Yes, Pluto does have a tendency to kill whatever it touches, but only for as long as it takes for you to learn whatever it is you are meant to understand. Then, like magic, he allows us release from his dark clutches.

Re: Optimism disappeared recently

Dear Virgo18
Pluto transiting most peoples natal Saturn asks great demands,
It often involves financial hardship and a whittling down to absolute basics of what Pluto considers out moded structures in your life. The pressure will often force you to make very hard decisions on what to keep and what to give up.Some people can get very depressed during this transit as it has a tendency to make you see the world "through the glass darkly".
Its important to realize that this process stems from necessity and it is better to drop whatever Pluto asks you to give up if it has done its time.Attempting to hold onto something that is finished will just prolong the pain, but dealing with what Pluto requests will bring the process to an end much quicker.

Re: Optimism disappeared recently

You are so right about the finances Ptolomy! I have natal pluto at 28 degrees Libra being transited by Saturn AND have transiting Pluto squaring natal Saturn/Jupiter conjunction. I literally made just over $13,400 last year before taxes. I have NEVER (not even in high school) made so little. Funny enough though, I've gotten better than ever with my finances which is great for me with my sad 2nd house.

You have the words! Maybe I am trying to retain old memories, habits, and relationships that don't work in my life anymore, so that's maybe causing some of this pain. Pluto is supposed to transform my life into something different hitting my natal chart ruler. I also have the urge for something new, but sad about loosing the old... Its like an internal war.

Other thing is that when I make something that affect my worth in a negative way.... the moral hangover its horrible. Specially when I drink or party, I don't enjoy the same as I did years ago... I cannot control my self.

My views in relationships and friendships are changing a lot too, my feelings are changing to other kind of feelings... more sober and less passionate.

Interesting Ptolomy!

I didn't realized that this transit make us see the world through dark colored glass... that's even worst than seeing the world exactly as it is, its like just paying attention to the awful things. (And I am experiencing that)
Right now Pluto destroyed a relationship, also making me very obsessed of earning money.

Re: Optimism disappeared recently

Pluto is necessity (someone has to take out the trash)therefore it is seen as dark by the optimistic,It unfortunately is truth, but there are not many who can live by Plutos ruthless behaviour, and fortunately for you Plutos demands on you can only last a year or so,Also fortunately for all of us this transit can only happen once in a lifetime, many dont even get it,so look on the bright side,it wont be long before you get back to your usual optimistic behaviour

Re: Optimism disappeared recently

hi virgo18

i am also sorry to hear of your circumstances in the friends dept.. perhaps the fair weather friends will disappear and be replaced by more meaningful friendships? saturn rules your 3rd and the planets in cap.. pluto transiting this area of your chart seems to imply a purging of friendships for you.. perhaps the sense of hardship will be replaced with something better though and as you mention, a type of renewal seems to be going on here..

it is interesting to see solar arc mercury at 29 libra at this moment as well, right where the t saturn is, while the sign of friendships - gemini is on your 7th house cusp.. perhaps a purging of relationships that have outlived their meaningfulness is taking place here through this symbology as well.. all the best working through your present situation virgo18.. i am sure new friends will appear to replace the old ones that are dropping out of your life at this time..

Im very glad to hear this! Hope some new friends appear... they are doing so!... In the area of relationships was the same I dumped a person.
At some point, what you are saying makes me excited because of the change it will bring. The painful situation for me is to be living this translation completely and waiting for it to bring new things, seeing how the old ones say godbye.

Hi Munch
Good to see your still here darling.
Your right about hard Pluto transits over Saturn leading to a reduction in financial sources,It will leave you with the absolute basics to live on and no more sometimes,It will cut out any thing superfluous and put you in a very difficult choice situation between what to keep, and what to let go.As you say, your much better with your finances now,so you obviously learnt a lot from the experience.
