Lucky vs unlucky positions

I have some thoughts about what should be considered as lucky vs unlucky positons in a natal chart.

Please feel free to correct or wite down your own visions.

UNFORTUNATE POSITIONS:

- Saturn being retrograde in Sagittarius:
Limited luck in the persons life.
The person feels inside that they're never lucky enough.
Indulgent outward behavior may mask inner feelings of inadequate.
Hides fears.

- Sun square/opposite Part of Fortune:
Sun square the Part of Fortune is traditionally perceived as a very “bad” aspect.* The square suggests that good fortune does not come easily for you.* In fact, you may feel that you have been “born under a bad sign.”* This may result in frustration, envy and or self-pity.* Alternatively, your run of “bad luck” may be motivated you to try even harder to bring about your own good fortune.** Thus, you may develop the character and stamina that ultimately results in your good fortune.

- Disharmonious aspects from Sun to Saturn and from Sun to Jupiter

- Saturn and Jupiter in detriment or fall

FORTUNATE POSITIONS:

- Strongly harmonious aspected and/or angular Jupiter.
- Jupiter in Cancer or Pisces
- Sun conjunct/trine/sextile POF
- ...??

Re: Lucky vs unlucky positions

I think any malefic planet badly aspecting pfortune is unlucky. planets in 6th/12th are seen as unlucky placements since they are cadent housesf. Also planets in their detriment/and fall are badly placed (though i believe reception/flowing aspects may help a bit)

there are so many unlucky placements you can identify using essential dignity/derived houses and other techniques. personally ive thought about this subject as well.

Re: Lucky vs unlucky positions

Oww, interesting about the 6th and 12th house..
Does the POF exact at cusp of 6th house count too as unfortunate?
In my chart it is also in detriment being in capricorn and it squares my sun/NN.

And of course I forget to mention the anaretic degrees. 29..
Too bad that I have both NN and POF at 29 degrees.

Re: Lucky vs unlucky positions

I've had two mates and a best friend with Jupiter in Pisces. Opportunities fall from the sky and hit them upside the head before they realize it. It takes a good strong Mercury for luck in my opinion. without it, the best opportunities in the world are not captured or gained. Mercury has ears to the wall and eyes on unwatched places and thats why Mercurial types always find themselves in the right places at the right time. Most importantly ~ they realize it.

Saturn in Sag is pretty whack. Actually, any of the fire signs aren't good for him.

Re: Lucky vs unlucky positions

there are so many possibilities.

there was another thread on here recently that said jupiter was lucky in 12th like having a guardian angel. saved in the nick of time.( 12th is pisces and trad ruler is jupiter)
I still have a jupiter transit to my 6th H and it is favourable inmy everyday work. I have had some very lucky breaks with that. ( I do have a 'well aspected jupiter natally)

perhaps a jupiter conj neptune conj mars might not be too lucky. I know of someone with this and this doesnt help matters.

Re: Lucky vs unlucky positions

Jupiter is in Pisces in my chart,in the seventh house, close to eigth house, but it forms a square to Saturn rx in sagi, so it's not really helpful for me.
And when I have Jupiter transits on my sun (like now), it will always oppose Pluto and square my part of fortune ..

Re: Lucky vs unlucky positions

Yea some have said that Jupiter is actually quite lucky in the 12th House despite it being cadent. Supposively grants someone a position equal to a "guardian angel", where the person is usually saved in the nick of time, or being watched over or something.

Also in the chaldean order (is that spelled right?), Venus joys in the 12th House, which I found really humorous. How both of the benefics are regarded as favorable in the 12th House.

Though I thought in the general sense, Jupiter was the planet of luck, and the part of fortune is also an indicator of luck (fortune)?

The Vedic astrologers seem to give 'natural' house rulership of the 12th to Jupiter.

Re: Lucky vs unlucky positions

not just vedic /traditionalists too see jupiter rules pisces
My POF is in 12thH in libra. This is where you will most benefit if you follow your life path? I dont see it as lucky necessarily.
I meant to add the jupiter conj neptune conj sun person - all in sagi in 11th. cant sit still! all air and fire there.but no difficult aspects.
another friend has jupiter in pisces sq some of his sagi planets. he has some very dramatic life events! including accidents when he was young. He is sagi rising too.
finally sagi sun opp jupiter in gemini - toooooo much. quite overpowering at times which makes it difficult in work situations. likes to talk/gossip but again doesnt want to complete and finish! But a fun person.

Re: Lucky vs unlucky positions

I have Jupiter in Cancer and Moon in Taurus "Lucky positions by sign"

But Jupiter opposes my Saturn in Capricorn, and Moon opposes my Pluto in scorpio.
