The Universe is Alive - The Oldest Idea On The Planet

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wXWmG6rg8o discussing his book on the subject of the ancient idea that the Universe is alive - also Duane Elgin exploring the same idea in another book discussed at link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NYl96...eature=related

Re: The Universe is Alive - The Oldest Idea On The Planet

This is, of course, the ancient Hermetic concept, and is technically connected with what has been termed (in the past) "Pan-vitalism": as a hermetico-esotericist, I am in agreement with this idea, 100% (although my understanding of this concept is not exactly the same as as outlined by contemporary exponents of this idea)

Re: The Universe is Alive - The Oldest Idea On The Planet

Hi JupiterAsc,

When i joined all shapes of 1.618/Phi, being Golden Spiral, Pentacle, Pentagon and Dodecahedron etc. into a Cardioid, i was joining fifth element to the Mandelbrot set WHICH IS CHAOS THEORY.

An Envelope Cardioid is shown on math site below, Second Picture down:-

http://mathworld.wolfram.com/Cardioid.html

I fitted all shapes into this of Phi, graph on link:-

http://2012forum.com/forum/download/...4652&mode=view

I wait to see if it is proven that the Universe is a Dodecahedron!

http://physicsworld.com/cws/article/news/18368

Hopefully link below will help:-

A Joke about Chaos theory below:-

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozvjL...eature=related

I have probably explained it better on first page of link below:-

http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum...ad.php?t=42521

The Mandelbrot set shape is a cardioid, thus now it can be shown how Phi fits into a cardioid

Nice one Monk - very funny - reveals a whole new metaphorical universe regarding the weather – by the way, alarmingly, I noticed a butterfly over there flapping its wings and since our weather systems today are displaying "extreme sensitivity dependent upon initial conditions" I'm sending out a worldwide hurricane alert – I recommend universal battening down of relevant hatches

Regarding the Divine Proportion Phi – a close scrutiny of today's menu at new venue Café Π reveals Fibonacci red cabbages with honey sauce for starters

Link to detail illustration of the thickened 'veins' of a red cabbage that are forming a Fibonacci spiral pattern

Did you guys see that new show last night called 'connected' is that why you are talking about it? Cuz I was gunna post something about this too lolllllllllllllll WE ARE CONNECTED *hides* I think we are cuz I get random dreams like that someone is gunna call me or post something about me and it happens. I could tell RageyPoo was more frustrated at me when I first joined than he led on cuz I had mini episodes of seeing him and his energy was upset, before I would wake up. Also, I will like want Indian food randomly then my dad will surprise me with Indian food that same day. Little things like that

Monk refers to the subject matter of a thread called "Sacred Geometry" at this link http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum...ad.php?t=42521 - btw "connected" sounds interesting - what was the main focus of the program content?

Re: The Universe is Alive - The Oldest Idea On The Planet

Interesting that Plato connected the dodecahedron with the element "ether" (other Platonic connections were fire with the tertradhedron, water with the icosohedron, earth with the cube and air with the octohedron; these find there equivalents in Vedic/Tantric esotericism and Chinese 5 element concepts as well)

Re: The Universe is Alive - The Oldest Idea On The Planet

Hi Piercethevale.
There is a factor and need for swordplay, can we do it without abuse?

I would promote insight into religion, and sabian symbols, link below:-

http://www.sabiansymbols.com/

However, we only get to analysis by looking at a number of factors, and religious beliefs are one of these factors!

I would promote your link to penrose. most scientist's do with fractals...but science does change very often....our swordplay is needed...but softly, don't make it nasty....good arguements will hold water, but may change as science progresses!

We play Devil's advocate....so did the Catholic Religion of the 1500's, it is a game that has been played before, try to make it a polite swordplay!!

Being polite doesn't mean your point isn't registered!

Re: The Universe is Alive - The Oldest Idea On The Planet

In going forward in debate, noting that science changes, through decades, i now debate with Love2Know.

Your concept with debate was worthy, being "Connected", but prone to debate:-

The Golden Spiral is thought to be connected to "The Logarithmic Spiral, link below, please note connections to Spiral Galaxy and weather patterns:-

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logarithmic_spiral

I leave JupiterAsc to show connections, although Science does change opinion through decades...my ability is to show what is needed to debate!

You have valued a concept on television, link below:-

http://www.thefutoncritic.com/listings/20120109fox06/

Savant Syndrome is spooky, and often associated with Autism, as yet with science they are connected, this may change, "Touch"!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Savant_syndrome

To link to a popular film with analysis and understanding, please rent Mercury Rising film, link below:-

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercury_Rising

I will continue later today, JupiterAsc will have a question about James Joyce that the group i'm involved with are investigating....some literature have codes, we feel that Joyce had fractal literature involved as a code, that involved Akashic Records!

http://everything2.com/title/Akashic+Records

I'll be back ha ha!

I haven't a clue as to what you are going on about.
I did toss a couple of links in this thread as about the same way I throw a couple of coins in a hat for a street corner musician...alms for the poor, ya might say.
The Sabian link you offer is that of my friend, Lynda Hill's...I'm sure she'll be tickled to know of the endorsement...if ya' all will excuse me I have some 'blades' to sharpen today.

I just love all connections below, but be careful i'm not prone to "bias" or "Cronyism", i'm a member of Ash, which is the Astronomical Society of Haringey, I'm a fan of Arthur C. Clarke, his brother is president!

Re: The Universe is Alive - The Oldest Idea On The Planet

Yes exactly, we zoom and see fractals, and the universe is just the same the more you go the bigger it gets. From the start of me studying physics I have believed that the space has to be moving just like the ocean. I just dont understand how you can believe otherwise... ask me a question and I will give you the answer why space is moving because at the moment I cant figure out what I want to say ^^ help me out a bit

Re: The Universe is Alive - The Oldest Idea On The Planet

it seems in the first 3 equal sided 3-d shapes, these we have life, the a2 b2 c2, we have the most basic forms of this 3-d. Then in the pyramid, wih a square base we find them all within.
