if a planet were destroyed

What would happen if one of our planets were destroyed? Remember a few years ago a meteor and a meteor got so close to Jupiter? How would it have affected us astrologically-- or in any way?

Also--now they're saying Pluto is NOT a planet! How much affect does asteroids have on us-- if that is what it is now defined as? Pluto never did have much affect on us anyway-- did it?

Why do signs share some planets? Before we discovered a planet, i.e. Uranus and "Pluto", other planets ruled those signs. Even today, Venus shares Libra and Taurus, Mercury shares Virgo and Gemini. Why? If we discover some other planet some time, will astrology then determine THAT rules some planet? At some point in history did, say, Taurus or Libra have their own planets ruling them, but these planets were destroyed?

Re: if a planet were destroyed

Ohhh, I love these kind of post! I think if a planet were to get destroyed it would be symbolic of that part of our psyche dieing or evolving to another level. When we die we transcend this plane, so maybe human conciousness would transcend also in regards to the area of life ruled by the planet being destroyed. I've heard that virgo has been assigned the wrong ruler before. I've heard that chiron should rule virgo. How about earth for taurus?

Yikes! At least I have a gemini asc just in case. I have read that too but I don't agree with it. Funny, my hubby is libra sun and taurus asc, were both doubles. I often wonder what would happen to all of us here on earth if a planet was destroyed and how would it effect our solar system as a whole. You never know what could have been where, it does make ya wonder if there was one planet for each sign, and what sign would earth rule if there was life on other planets in this solar system?

I like this comment bellow which I showed in another similar thread.

Quote:
IF ANY PLANET WERE TO BE DESTROYED...

If the planet Pluto were to be destroyed(and not replaced), we would not be able to die or eliminate or change our lives for the better. If Neptune were to be destroyed we would not be able to sleep or dream and we would all go crazy. If Uranus were to be destroyed we'd all be copies of each other with no individuality. If Saturn were to be destroyed there would be no law or form and our skeletal system would dissapear. If Jupiter were to be destroyed we would stop hoping and growing(both physically and spiritually). If Mars were to be destroyed we would lose all motivation, energy, and movement. If Venus were to be destroyed we would lose our sense of touch and appreciation and all material life would be meaningless. If Mercury would be destroyed we would lose our voices, eyesight, and hearing, and be unable to communicate(or even breathe). If the Moon were to be destroyed there would be no more birth or memory, and if the Sun were to be destroyed, there would of course be no life(or desire for it) at all(our hearts would stop beating). Finally, if the Earth were to be destroyed, we here would all of course be dead, and there would be no beauty or harmony or ability to relate in the rest of the solar system. Every planet in our solar system is vital to our proper functioning. As planets change, so do we, and vice-versa.

Re: if a planet were destroyed

Do you think if earth were destroyed all our souls would evolve on some other planet in some other solar system?

I really don't know if I want to find out, the results would be way to overwhelming, changing everything we know and understand completely.
