Will he contact me... answer known

Since this section of the board has been relatively quiet, I thought I would post one of my charts where the answer is known, if anyone wants to practice.

I asked "will he contact me?" I did not specify a time frame, but I should have. It is always better to, but this time I left it open ended.

"He" is my ex-boyfriend whom I broke up with a year ago. I asked around Thanksgiving. I thought he might try since it was the first holiday since we broke up.

What do you think the answer is?

I just assumed this chart was a no since there was no aspect between the Sun and Saturn. There is the sextile but the Moon has to get through Retrograde Mercury first. The actual answer was yes. He contacted me on Jan. 3rd, 5 weeks after the chart was drawn. Apparently it is represented by the mutual application between the Moon (my co-significator) and Rx Mercury, but the timing is still not what I would have guessed at all!

Well, 20/20 is hindsight...but, that Moon to a retrograde Mercury is certainly suspect. This sort of application makes things happen suddenly, surprizingly. And, I'm sure it was.

The timing is definitely a mystery to me. Even the Moon was fast that day so we can't claim her delaying power when she is slow.

The only thing I can say here is that your question was simply if he would contact you. And, he did...surprizingly.

Before I looked at the answer I thought it was a yes because his significator Saturn was in your 3rd house of commincation. Also, his 3rd house ruler was in your 1st.

No problem Anachiel! I love practicing with known outcome charts. Yes, I'm learning that in horary charts that if Mercury is not a significator it can often signify some type of communication.

In this case, it was a Retrograde Mercury. The contact was brief and quite perplexing to me because I couldn't figure out what his REASON was for contacting me. he didn't share any information about himself, didn't seem interested in knowing any more about what was happening with me... it was weird. But I think this chart has my answer... Mercury was Retrograde and he was simply looking backwards at our relationship, as people are prone to doing over/after the Holidays.

awesome. I guessed NO lol. Now I see it clearly. But the timing is wierd.

Miss Kitty - Thanks for sharing. These are fun! When you asked, were you really thinking Thanksgiving time? Because then that would render a No response.

It is a definite Yes horary to me. His significator is in your communications house and his communication ruler is in your first. That's two indications for a contact. Plus, Moon that shows how things develop will hit Mercury (communications in general).

But then Moon is still too close to Sun, Mercury rx, upcoming square between Mars and Sun - the communication that is to happen is not what you would want it to be. Either obstructed, or confusing, or not as pleasant.

As far as timing, if it was not in the question, then it was not important. Really, was it critical for the contact to happen around Thanksgiving?

I also see that Mars rules your 4th and is in your 1st. I had these situations in horaries and wonder if they can be interpreted as someone (a man in this case) from the past (4th house) thinking/interested/concerned about the querent (being in the 1st).

YES. It was very confusing to me why he even bothered to contact me at all, but then, confusion as a control tactic was always part of his game.

Thank you for posting this aspect, I had not thought about it.

If I had to pin down my thoughts, I was thinking around New Years. He just made it on the 2nd day of the year!

Also very interesting. Thanks so much for contributing your thoughts! And everyone else as well. These known horaries are where I can really hone in on the details that I still struggle with (such as timing, quality of aspects, etc).

I will post another that I have when the board is slow again. Fortunately or unfortunately, my mind has been busy lately about various situations swirling around me, and I already have two charts this year with known outcomes. I'm now on a question hiatus.
