Posting a synnastry chart would be loads more helpful. I don't read composites and nor do a lot of other astrologers. Why? Because all they tell you is what the relationship "looks" like. Kind of like saying, "That house is Victorian" but not knowing the individual rooms that could all be decorated in Art Deco. It doesn't really tell you how your energy will affect him and in what areas and vice versa.
In fact, when I am doing compatiability, I first read natals, then compare those, then do synnastry.

If you really want your relationship on a firm track, look to his moon and yours. Read allllllll about the moons and learn how to make moons happy...yours and his. When our moons are not being met, we become "luna"tics. And we thinks words just form on their own...
Also, North Nodes help a lot. They can tell you if it's past life stuff and what paths you each have in this one. A whole world opened up when I learned NN. NN is the one that looks like a little horseshoe. South Node is always in the sign opposite of NN. Noth is dharma...this life path. SN is karma...past paths.
