Re Kate Middleton's birth time - in the book, "William and Kate: a Royal Love Story," by Christopher Andersen (New York: Gallery Books, 2011) it is stated on page 73:

Although they could not know it at the time, the Middletons took their biggest step toward the top rung of the social ladder on January 9, 1982. That afternoon, Caroline gave birth to blue-eyed Catherine Elizabeth Middleton at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading.

The author gives a huge number of names of people he interviewed for the book, so I'm assuming he got the information that Kate was born in the afternoon from one of them, one of the friends or relatives of the Middletons that he spoke to. Wish he'd been more specific, but maybe he didn't think it was important, or maybe the person he was speaking to about this couldn't remember a more precise time. However, this is better than nothing, which is where we were before.

So if it's true that Kate was born in the afternoon, that could be anywhere between noon and 5 p.m., I suppose; thus the possible ascendants include Taurus, Gemini, and Cancer. I wonder if she might have Gemini rising, with her ascendant opposing William's, and her Neptune conjunct his ascendant. Or maybe Cancer rising, with his Sun and Moon in her 1st house. But really, this is a job for the expert rectifiers around here. Isaac Starkman and James Alexander, how about it?

yes Moon in the first she has a very close relationship with her mother.
which I guess will continue, someone she can trust and confide in. She has a rounder face (although she has lost a lot of weight)

Also she has given up a lot for marriage which suggests sun in 7th house(considering she is a cappy)

however if that is the case what to we make of the conj of merc and venus in aqua in 8th!

is it possible from the dob of their children to work out there rising signs.

It is not a set pattern that we have our parents signs as our rising signs. It can make us lean towards one sign or the other perhaps if other factors show what may be rising. Such as physical characteristics, what happens in childhood and the general persona.
Sometimes our rising sign is our partner's sun sign and then we can look at the partners sun sign and that can be on the 7th cusp, opposite.

I'm tall and thin with a Cancer ascendant.

I wonder if Kate is Cancer rising, as William would find this reminiscent of his Mother, who had Sun in Cancer.

The ruler of the cancer ascendant is a full moon. ergo she's tall. If she had sun + moon + asc, small. I've seen that kind of person. And she was kind.

The 12 PM time has a DD rating from astrodatabank.

PT quotes BBC for date and place ("Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading"), no time (12 noon chart shown here). Marc Penfield reports a birth time of 11:33 PM but when questioned said he had obtained it from another astrologer. The latter astrologer said he saw it on a British website but could not locate the website when questioned about it. This time is therefore considered unreliable until further evidence is shown. Ana Rakovic gave 8:28 PM on AstrologyinSerbia.com website according to Paddy de Jabrun; no source. Rakovic also gave sister Pippa a time of 4:40 AM; again no source. Just want to add that the quote is wrong on a number of issues. her mother is Carole, not Caroline. Also Kate/Katherine has green eyes not blue. (as revealed in the recent portrait at national gallery) I know that some people argue she has a pisce MH - with this portrait unveiled to the world at the weekend another indicator of her public image(neptune transit?)

12pm can be a valid time. I doubt they would put it down if it were not valid.

Do Cancer risings especially with Moon there, tend to have 'fuller' figures though, unless there is some other aspect aspecting the ascendant?
