Can T Mars conjunct AC make you feel depressed?

Mars just passed over my AC yesterday and starting Sunday afternoon I just got hit with a feeling of dread and misery. I've been so miserable and depressed, snaping at people. I guess it does make sense but I never really considered the sad side it can bring.

Ya I was hoping for some positive action too! But its the opposite for me.. I feel mopey. And it could be! You know.... Lately I've been feeling so overwhelemed with the clutter in my house. It's gotten out of hand since we're doing reno's and that's another reason I'm so miserable! Lol thank god it's a fast moving planet

Not really it should have given you a boost of energy. All depends on what aspects your ASC receives from planets, and for that we need to see a chart with transits please?

Here is my chart for the day I posted this. My T sun is almost square my natal AC so that can show some tension with myself right? and T Pluto trined my AC.. That may show a time for change?

Progressed Mercury conjunct natal Venus and square natal Ascendant?

Progressed Sun trine natal Mars and about to conjunct natal Pluto?

Did you recalculate the chart to get this info? the chart she posted only shows transits...

First thing that struck me was transiting moon conj Saturn albeit for few hours can make you rather low

T uranus is quincunxing natal sun. Next year T Saturn will conj unaspected sun, which will sap your energy levels and poss feel deflated.
T Neptune is fast approach trine to natal sun, this could add lots of intuition and creativity, if inclined towards art or music these areas may well benefit....

T mars conj Asc made a square to n venus which could have added a venusian twist in 4th house and pleasure and action in that direction.

I did, astrologer50.

Do you think Tmars crossing the natal ascendant might have activated the Pmercury conjunction to Nvenus and square to Nascendant - and the Psun/Nmars trine (via the natal Venus/Mars ssq)?

Yeah I noticed that after lol but I was too busy today running errands to get a chance to come back and fix it. Here is the one with progressions and transits. He is right, I do/did have those progressions at the time of this post.

Re: Can T Mars conjunct AC make you feel depressed?

Seems like the Virgo risers are having a rough go on this. There's a good Mars transit Virgo that Caro started a few weeks back. Lots of woebegones.
I think the interplay of recent merc retro (merc ruler of virgo) and the current forward thrust of mars in virgo (merc ruled) has the virgo asc's in a dither.

I'm of opinion that Mars transiting 1st is a GOOD thing, always. It's at home in 1st and forces the asc out into the open with both engines running.
This transit cycle happens every few years, so maybe think back to last time it crossed asc. Were you bummed-out then?
Also, remember Mars supports our Sun, so if it's not friendly with your sun during these times, then maybe that causes gloom?
check out caro's thread....

prog mercury 8'18" and natal venus is 5'32" Saggi - so no I don't see anything being triggered here, for me it's too wide....

progressed planets
http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/showpost.php?p=266189&postcount=8

progressed planets/charts are more 'internal' changes, evolvements rather than 'events or external' matters. I don't read prog charts as stand alones it's more important to see where these planets are moving in the natal chart

Your natal chart is like a photograph as unique as your fingerprint, BUT the 10planets in the sky have not stayed where they were in your natal chart, they have all moved. Predictive astrology is mostly maths where those 10planets are now and the mathematical aspects they make to your natal charts ie: 180'=opposition, 90'=square, 60'=sextile and 120'=trine.

So your personality, grows, develops, changes, matures as we get older, this is reflected by your sun sign changing from it's natal position to the next sign along, so does your Asc and MC sign change. In fact from sun to mars especially are important, as the outer planets really don't move much, using a 'day for a year' secondary progressions.

What's the difference between Transits and Progressions?
“Transits are the planets currently orbiting in the sky and the relationships they form to each other and additionally, to your chart. Transits happen for everyone. They're important and effect you personally when they contact a planet or point in your chart. Transits represent outside energy, things happening outside yourself. They describe external events and your responses to them. Progressions, however, move very slowly and are a natural progression of your original birth chart. The events and emotions they describe are part of you, deeply ingrained in your psyche, internal, and psychological. And as they form aspects, these inner feelings start to become more important and central to your life”

http://skywriter.wordpress.com/2011/01/27/the-progressed-moon-through-the-12-houses/

Now progressed sun is important as natal sun is *unaspected* now it's trine to natal mars in 11th. So from 3rd house of communications to 11th house of friendships, groups hopes and wishes. So now and within next two years prog sun will conj natal pluto, which should be a *major shift* in awareness...

The one-applying/one-exact/one-separating degree rule for progressions and transits applies to "everyone", astrologer50 - But, those with an interest in astrology are often sensitive enough to feel planetary influences over a wider orb - (and Pmercury is retrograde/applying, having conjoined Nvenus at age 11*)

[Note* : This is a VERY significant Mercury/chart-ruler progression for lilithofeden - forward-crossing Nvenus at age 11 : turning retrograde this year/2011 : retrograde-crossing Nvenus again at age 24 : stationing on Npluto at age 38 and making it's final forward-crossing of Nvenus at age 53.

Something "up there" is making sure she gets a message/lesson about that is extremely important to her.]

[it's still 3' away even with the retrograde. Key words above *sensitive enough*. Of course orbs can be quite contentious issues around here. I know waybread uses 3' orbs and astro.com uses 10' for everythinng....]

Well let's wait and see how SHE feels and reacts.....?

It is important when merc turns retro as there is less need to communicate, more pleasure from reading, researching and alike and when venus is involved it can be the beautification of communicatios, written or oral. I have mercury and venus conj natally....

Now as it's progression has gone into 4th house, communications to and from home, family members may have taken on more importance. I don't see this as current or of major important either, it may well just be an internal shift..
