Progressed Asc moving into Gemini - Prog. MC square Nt Sun - and more..

I wanted to give you a bit of my story.

My Prog. Asc will be moving into Gemini with only a degree or degree and half left in Taurus. I can see the changes in me.

My Prog. MC is square my natal Sun. (I see those changes as well)

Transit Pluto is approaching my Natal MC with 3 degrees left in Capricorn.

I had to forcefully change my job as my old job got moved to another state. Fortunately, I did get a job but the commute was very far and my boss was a nitpicky person who did not like flex hours. (was that prog. MC square Sun) So after a month I quit that job (not before I acquired another job which was closer to my house) So on the career side I am seeing a lot of change. The new job needs more communication (emails, phone calls, one to one meetings, etc.) - Prog Gemini asc?

My solar return has most of the planets in my 4th house - so the focus is on home (I quit my first job to be near the house and my kids) I am able to spend much more time at home with kids (Solar Rtn)?

for me T pluto is not near enough to MC yet..... I use 1' approaching 1' exact and 1' departing.

next April it gets to 9'33" then retrogrades, next time it gets around 9/10 is 2013. it can be a long transit when it gets within orbs...

My father died with pluto was on the retro hit. Same time conj my mother's sun. I got divorced, got a job after 15years of being at home.... total total change...

Prog MC in Aquarius and will be for long time is all about communications,it's AIR but also wants its mind stimulating, friendship and freedom and independence.

in another 20months approx prog moon will conj MC and I expect another job change then to.

T Jupiter has been conj natal mercury in taurus, this alone will increase albeit temporary. So as jupiter goes over your taurus planets and transit second house you should be OK

Re: Progressed Asc moving into Gemini - Prog. MC square Nt Sun - and more..

Thanks a bunch astrologer50. That means a lot to me.

I just moved into a new job as I mentioned before. I do not plan to stay here for long (just want experience in the field) so you may be right - that I might change my job in 20 months or so (but I cannot say for certain till it happens, right?)

I do expect a 'total change' when the tr. Pluto hits my MC but I do wish its not for the worst - I hope for the best! (keeping my fingers crossed)

I don't know for certain for the effects it has produced but the tr. Neptune is conjunct my natal Mars for a long time. Fortunately, this tr. Neptune will be not conjunct my natal Mars (considering 1deg departing and 1deg approaching method). Do you know what are the effects that it could produce? I know I have been short tempered since last 4 - 5 yrs. I 'feel' I have the strength but then find out I don't have enough strength to withhold the physical activity. etc/

Problem is your mars IS apex for Yod and moon is rather afflicted/challenged..

Neptune transits conjunct Mars
Quote:
Although your focus may be compromised and physical energy scattered, there is a strong potential for you to improve your intuition and magnetic powers. You may be in the right place at the right time. The effects of this transit will have much to do with the condition of Mars in your chart. You may, for example, be inclined to take shortcuts or to not know where you are headed exactly, and attract negative influences as a result. You may feel uninspired or lazy due to lack of motivation or a feeling of directionlessness

May I suggest you read the 'welcome to the world of astrology’ and other ---sticky' at the top of this forum? It has some great explanations, links etc. At the top of every forum there are lots of ‘stickys’ which explain matters in that forum, along with guidelines & tips

There is a 'plethora' of information on AW, espec in the 'stickys' at the top of every forum, our Education forum and Recommendations forum to. Plus we have a good search feature,[but not foolproof obviously, so try here first] bit like google using keywords – initially select advanced and try just selecting 'titles' rather than posts

You are coming upto your neptune square neptune, classic time for 'mid life crisis'

midlife crisis, Neptune square Neptune
http://cosmicexploration.blogspot.com/2009/12/neptune-square-midlife-crisis.html
“I consider it a person's spiritual initiation. This is the time when a person usually subtly or not so subtly starts feeling the need to somehow someway tap into the universal source consciousness and start living as someone who contributes to the greater good. In some ways, this transit is about actualizing your purpose in life, or more accurately, actualizing the universal purpose of leaving the world a better place once you leave than it was when you came in. This transit marks the beginning of spiritual adulthood, but it often doesn't feel like a very 'adult' transit.”
http://practicalastrology.prettyfedup.com/specializinginmidflifetransits.htm
“Neptune transits may be the most difficult to explain and predict, in terms of what might happen. Overall, they seem to coincide with the dissolution of boundaries in the areas (Houses) they pass through and the Houses that aspected planets reside in. The confusion and illusion tend to happen to the degree we have taken our self-imposed or culturally sanctioned borders and barriers too seriously. Neptune represents a gentling shock of indivisibility, exposing the underlying unity of all existence. When we forget about that or take our separatist egos too seriously, Neptune tends to have the last laugh.”
http://tribes.tribe.net/astrotransits/thread/1ce5697b-dce0-4f3a-93a9-731dd3c17050
“Neptune square Neptune in the chart we are confronted with that "vision thing". Neptune is our ideals, our vision of how things can/should be. This transit challenges us to revisit our vision for ourselves and see how closely we are aligned with it. If we are out of alignment we can experience quite a feeling of loss and grieving over what could have been if we had only followed through. Neptune is also associated with the urge to transcend the personality so this transit can also be experienced as a questioning of how we are manifesting spiritual grace”

Also, moon and neptune are both singletons, ie: only planets in fire and water elements....

your moon is square mercury, do you have any sleep problems?
You also have an air grand trine.. Have you researched your Yod?

Sometimes these quincunxs are obvious and recognised in personality, other times it can take a lot of self examination to identify with the planets energies and of course they (like all aspects) don't operate 100% of the time, they are simply a facet of your personality. Some say they cause health issues that are unresolved, underlying, dormant waiting to be triggered.... some say you stay at one end, to the detriment of the other, OR end up see-sawing between the two until you learn balance, integration of two unlikely pairings.

Next look at the signs, then houses and then aspects. Now the *others aspects* from these Yods as they can act like escape routes, that can help or hinder the expressions. A chart with lots of Yods (Finger of God) will always be *searching* for the divine answers to the meaning of life, to find synthesis

If someone has the ‘generational Pluto sextile neptune’ (born after 1940) then there is always a possibility of creating a temporary Yod with quicker moving planets, progressions, solar arcs even and difficult situations where you could be forced into making decisions and worrying that you have made the wrong one. Saturn, Uranus are generational to and unless these two fall in first quadrant (the most personal) the may not even be felt if they create a temporary Yod…this could be *transformation through suffering* type aspect

Some of what you may feel/experience are:
  • things which happen out of the blue, and these things affect us, but are not created by us.
  • being faced with impossible choices, but where we are forced into choose something
  • a feeling of having been wronged in some way, and that we `don't deserve this' to be happening to us.
  • feeling like we're on a continual search for something in our lives, although we don't know what this `something' is.
  • well-made plans being interrupted, or even hijacked totally
  • difficulty in coping within formal education systems - eg. as in being given limited time frames in which to complete tasks (this can create high stress levels in anyone with a yod)
  • the yod itself does not provide any clear direction in life.
  • those with unaspected planets will have difficulty in using it effectively when put under pressure.
  • walking a different path, feeling `different' from others can lead to deep feelings of insecurity, and perhaps even believing themselves to have been `born into the wrong family'. (This one freaked me out a bit, since I spent much of my childhood believing this...)
  • with an unaspected planet, in childhood the over-developed effects of the planet may be suppressed in some way by parents. (eg. my brother has an unaspected `duet' between Mars and Jupiter. As a child he `bounced off the walls' and was a real handful. My mother took him to the Dr and he was put on some kind of sedative to calm him down. Eventually he became a successful athlete, and so this became a channel for his excessive energy.)
  • unconsciously developing towards future activities - perhaps over a period of years - without being aware of this.
  • a sense that one is a Spiritual Warrior, as you find that what seems to satisfy others in life in no way is satisfactory for you - that you are searching for `something more'.

Mars Quincunx (Inconjunct) Pluto

“You suffer by having a picture of just what needs to be done and how it is to be accomplished. This can cause you to be controlling and argumentative. When you feel the weight of the responsibilities that you have taken on or when you feel lonely and isolated, then, you are ripe for personal growth. Your desire, manner of expression, and the way you use energy will have to be changed - to be less compulsive, less forceful, so you are able to achieve greater accomplishment and more personal happiness.”

http://www.cafeastrology.com/natal/q...retations.html

Mars= actions, Pluto is about control, depth, subversive things. So maybe sometimes you act (mars) too forcefully for a given situation perhaps? Have you ever had feedback from someone that your actions were bit OTT for a situation?? Next look at the signs, then houses and then aspects. These will either help or hinder the situation.

Quote:
Learning to be emotionally consistent is harder for you than for most people because your feelings and desires cover such a wide range of possible expression. Your manner of self expression can inadvertently add weight and encouragement to components of your personality that you actually wish to minimize or even transform. It takes much experimentation with relationships in order to have emotions that serve your higher needs rather than just running amuck on their own mission of blind, disconnected expression. Either artistic or idealistic goals are necessary to achieve satisfaction

“shows that you lack self‑control in expressing your feelings. You tend to misjudge people and to form binding alliances with individuals who take advantage of your indulgence. Even when others abuse and misuse you, you never raise a hand to defend yourself. You feel powerless to oppose the oppressive demands that people make of your talents, and when they exploit you, you are bitter and disappointed. Your greatest problem is to resolve the conflict between your desire to be useful to people and their expectations that you will make up for their deficiencies.”

Wow! So much to learn - once I start reading and going through the links.
Thanks a bunch!
About sleep problems - you hit the mark.
I am a very light sleeper and most of the times I cannot go to sleep once I wake up for a long time. My partner says "I sleep too much!" LOL..but that is because I cannot get consistent sleep throughout the night. For some nights I would prefer taking some sleeping pills to keep me asleep and that feels really good.

About the YOD:
I was under the impression the apex should be the fastest moving among the three planets.
In my case, the apex is MARS but the other two planets are Moon and Pluto.
Would it be really effective?

I'm not convinced there are hard and fast rules governing this.

sun quincunx uranus is the only one not involved in Yod, but unfortunately, it can create a temporary Yod with a progression or transit or solar arc...

Sun Quincunx (Inconjunct) Uranus

Quote:
Your self expressive urges are usually misunderstood by people and this creates frustrations for you. As you disconnect from the need to be understood and get more in contact with the will to achieve positive results from your actions, your true self emerges from the core of your personality. You grow by learning to leave well enough alone.
http://www.cafeastrology.com/natal/q...retations.html

Sun quincunx uranus
"shows you often deprive yourself by yielding to other people's demands. It is not easy for you to give in to others, and when you do you become bitter. Perhaps you permit such intrusions because you feel a deep inner guilt about turning people down. You feel severely challenged by others, especially by their authoritative attitude when requesting your services. Beware of other traps also. When you reject someone's demands, they may say, "Are you not humanitarian at all?" If you feel you must answer that, your reply should be only that you are not sacrificial."
From the book ‘Aspects and Personality’ by Karen Hamaker-Zondag

so anything 15=22' pisces - so if you research back in the ephemeris to when T Neptune was around these degrees you may with a lot of self analysis be able to identify with it..

Thanks astrologer50. I will go through the links and post any new questions if I have (I am trying to understand and learn the aspects and how I can relate them to my experiences in real!)
