Which timing to use? - New Career

Dear Astrologers,

I'm trying to work out a favourable timing to start a new job this month.

I know the timing that I was offered the position verbally, do I use this timing as an indication of my embarkment on this new position or the timing for the first day I'll report to work officially or the timing I signed the confirmation letter?

Besides a Saturn in first and 7th, are there certain aspects I need to be wary off and stay away from? What I want to achieve is similar to everyone I believe...

1. Great career advancement
2. Boss will reward and acknowledge my ability
3. harmonious relationship with coworkers
4. More and faster pay increment, more and faster pay increment and more and faster pay increment

As Jupiter is very strong in its own sign, there is a chance I can find a suitable time to have Jupiter as my ASC and 10th significator. Do I use 2nd house or radix 11th to represent the prosperity growth from this job?

Thanks,
bale

Re: Which timing to use? - New Career

I would say do it for when you first accepted the job.

You'll want to look at the second house, as it has to do with personal gains. If you're lucky, the ruler of the eigth will be Trine (or sextile, or in some form of harmonious reception) showing money going into your pocket from theirs (basically getting payed). The Ascendant ruler should be in harmonioius aspect with the tenth house and seventh house ruler to get along well with your boss and co-workers. Watch out for the Moon and other significators, make sure Saturn and Mars aren't Opposing or Squaring them.

Concerning Jupiter and Venus, good point that Jupiter is indeed strong in Sagittarius, so, I hope he turns out to be in rulership of a good house (first, tenth, second, or seventh) and finds himself in an angular house rather than a cadent. Same with Venus, though weaker in Capricorn, and already having moved out of her traditional terms. Though, still a benefic, nonetheless.

Re: Which timing to use? - New Career

Hi Senshi,

Thank you for the pointers. I have done an event chart for the time that I was told I am given the offer and I accepted it.

Positive signs are, I have Jupiter(Pisces) as the ruler of the 10th, 7th and moon as the ruler of the 2nd house. Moon is in its own house. I'm satisfied with the monthly salary we had settled upon. Moon is VOC in this chart though. Jupiter is about to conjunct DC(Sag) in another 6 degree. 8th house ruler is Saturn residing in 3rd house which is about to a perfect trine with POF(7th housE) in another 16 minutes.

Bad News is I'm Mercury in 8th house combust by Sun.

The whole chart looks very fine with sextile and trine aspects with the exception of Jupiter squaring Uranus. I'm wondering if it signifies a harsh outcome.

I have 2 questions here...
is the boss be represented by the 10th house or the 7th house?
shouldn't the co-workers be represented by 6th house?

Thanks with luv,
bale

Re: Which timing to use? - New Career

You need your significator as free of afflictions as you can get. Being combust is the worst conceivable affliction as it renders the planet powerless.
Avoid Moon void at all costs. Enough VOC horaries... try getting a sextile or trine with POF so that the Moon might have an aspect.
Have benefics angular! especially Jupiter so dignified.

your boss = 10th house
coworkers = 7th house, if like servants then 6th
money from job = 2nd from 10th, that is 11th

Re: Which timing to use? - New Career

Hi Radu,

Thanks for the pointers. I am unsure which timing should be considered for the start of the new job.

-----------------------------

1. The time and date when the interviewers offered me the position with verbal consent and I accepted the position verbally.

2. The time and date the interviewer emailed me with a letter of job offer confirmation

3. The time and date I replied the email with a confirmation of acceptance

4. The time and date I signed the contract of employment

5. The time and date I start work officially

-----------------------------------------

The event chart I mentioned above where I am combust, is the timing where the interviewers verbally offered and I accepted with a verbal consent.

I'm curious about the aspect between Moon and Saturn and Jupiter. what is the black color dotted line from Moon to Jupiter? Is the green dotted line betweem moon and saturn call partile sextile?

Thanks,
bale

Re: Which timing to use? - New Career

obviously, from a legal point of view, you are employed from the moment you sign the employment contract, right?
astrology doesn't elude law, so I'd say that the moment you started the job is the moment you signed the contract

Re: Which timing to use? - New Career

Thank you Radu, what will it mean if I have the boss' significator strong like Jupiter? Because if I made Jupiter as my ASC ruler, the 10th house will be boss. Do i need to find an applying aspect between my ruler and boss ruler?
If I have the 11th house as Saturn which is Rx, does it mean the money from the job will not be very ideal? Right now,

Well, stop worrying! if your significator is strong you will overcome most of the challenges.
What would life be without challenges?! we need them to feel alive.
