Rebooting a business venture

A bit of back story here. I had a couple of albums for sale on iTunes for about two years. I can count on one hand the number of sales I made over that span; my marketing plan was an epic failure.

I'm getting set to re-release the two albums, this time with a different marketing plan (one which actually involves money for advertising), but I'd like to pick a fairly sky-friendly date to do that.

My initial thought was somewhere in the time frame of 19-23 January. I arrived at that window through the wonder (cough) of Magi Astrology, when I saw that I would have two "Cinderella" transits going (T Chiron conjunct N Jupiter and T Venus conjunct N Chiron). No, I'm still not completely sold on their brand of astrology, but I'm trying to keep an open mind.

However, I'm seeing SA Saturn rapidly approaching N MC and am wondering if I ought to be rethinking things.

Help a brutha out? Charts attached of course... and if I'm in the wrong forum, would some kind moderator kindly move this where it belongs?

I notice SA Moon is currently smack on natal pluto in 3rd house of communications....

27th this month T Mars will be conj natal pluto and SA moon. This could be a good time for action (mars) transformation (pluto) and emotions (moon) Plus in Equal house that pluto would be 2nd house, of how you earn your money

SA jupiter is currently conj natal sun in 10th house

I notice this pluto is involved in your mystic rectangle but also has a quincunx to saturn

next year the chart you posted with transits --- mars is doing very little by way of aspects to natal

there are some good aspects for you next year,namely T Jupiter conj natal venus and T Pluto will come upto a trine to venus from 6th to venus 10th (Equal house) This will actually form a grand trine with natal pluto

Cheers A-50.. it looks like I can give myself another six weeks or so to tweak the final products beyond the Magi omens. I'm one of those who needs to assign myself a deadline or else I'll be "fixing" things forever. As my audio engineer friends say, and which I keep having to learn over and over again, "A mix is never completed, only abandoned."

Spaced out a little on the SA readings.. should have sussed that the Saturn transit to MC was years off.

Just out of curiosity do you assign equal weight to all three divination methods (transits, progressions, Solar Arc)?

Its interesting that your solar arc Saturn is approaching MC. I don't usually use these but had a look at your chart. When transiting Saturn entered my 10th house, I met a friend that asked me to cover her yoga class. I've been practicing for years but never taught, too shy, until my friend approached me. Now I'm teaching regularly. Before I was a PA/admin ect. Saturn at my MC totally changed my career and helped me manifest my dreams.

Also transiting Uranus is approaching your MC too, that looks interesting, opening up your career possibilities, bringing new things, changing how things are currently and giving inspiration! Natal Uranus is in your 2nd house so the changes could affect your finances. Uranus goes direct soon so it may be a good time to move ahead.

Transiting nodes are going through your 5th/11th house axis, amongst other things this is creativity, in Sagittarius its inspiration, lots of things to draw upon and use in your creative expression.

Transing Saturn also opposing your Sun, that is interesting and I'm wondering what that brings. Realisation of your ambitions maybe, career ambitions, brings structure to your aims, also hard work but rewards for past smart efforts. It could have something to do with partners, maybe business partners as Saturn rules your 7th house.

I'm only just learning more about the progressed Moon cycle and noticed you have had a progressed new Moon on your natal around August 2010 in your 10th house. Perhaps then wasn't the right time to launch a work project as not all information is available to us at the new Moon, as it grows in light more becomes available. Thats only a rough analysis as I'm still learning about this lunar progression cycle but its worth looking into.

To me that looks like a promising potential in the coming months. Not meaning to launch something on that day but it plants the seeds which will affect the points and planets that it touches. By Feb next year, transiting Uranus will be trine the eclipse degree and in your 10th house also direct which may give his lightening inspiration and movement to your business venture.

By day, I'm currently in the midst of completing my Reiki Master/Teacher levels, in hopes of setting up a practice shortly after their completion. Around here, Reiki practitioners charge on a par with what massage therapists charge, on the order of $80/hour—I don't know if that 1:1 scale applies elsewhere. Not that I'm in it for the money, mind you, but hey, a guy's gotta eat.

By night, I've found myself in three or four different bands, which have pretty much been my sole source of income. None of them pay particularly well, but I've just been asked to join a fifth: a wedding band. If it's as lucrative as they say it's going to be, it may circumvent any additional need to hold down an honest job (ha! been there, done that) and even get me out of my parents' house (where I've been for the last four years post-divorce). This reading gives me a hope I haven't had in a while.

This brings the discussion back to my initial impetus for posting the charts. I'm remastering an album I had up on iTunes from 2009 through 2011—which is no longer there as the funds to keep it there dried up. Additionally, I've been working on two further albums (well, one, but it's a 2-disk set) in the same genre as that first one. A-50's read that mid-March would be a good time to get those albums back out into the wilds of public opinion actually relieves some—not all, but some—pressure on me to just get the things done already.

I am already feeling the effects of the transiting Nodal Axis, though, as musical ideas are starting to hit me fast and furious, which would provide a good foundation for the next album!

As it happens, I began the new project, the 2-disc set, in November 2009. To the best of my recollection I didn't start anything new in August 2010:

That is interesting. Not as up on eclipses as I ought to be, though. Maybe a pointer here too would be in order?

I think this paragraph made my day! Although I'm a bit wary of Neptune and its propensity to create illusions, I think I'm enough of a realist in my own estimation of my talents and capabilities that I might well be able to keep my head skrood on straight. Moreover, these planets seem to have some basis in relationship astrology, but that discussion is probably for another thread.

Hi again. Work has kept me fairly busy and away from the boards here, and I have a feeling that the albums I had been planning on releasing this month aren't going to be ready after all. So I spent a little while looking at dates in the near future and came across a potential date for which I'd like a second or third set of eyes.

But I can tell you about what I'm seeing, at least.

The date in question is 12 May 2012, 1725h. From about 1400h through the afternoon at least, my software (AstrologerXP) is showing me something pretty durn close to a Grand Sextile in the skies (all transits mentioned here and below are applying): Venus IX Gemini trine Saturn I Libra trine Moon V Aquarius; and Mercury VII Taurus trine Mars XI Virgo trine Pluto III Capricorn. This being a diurnal chart, I took care to keep Saturn below the horizon and Mars above it where they can do the least damage. I settled on a time of 1725h EDT as the time for uploading the albums to the online distributor. Partially. I'll explain that in a bit.

In the chart, Libra is rising and VIII (other people's money) falls in Taurus, so I guess as ruler of both signs Venus would be both the querent and the quesited: remember that I'm hoping to make money at this. II (my money) is notable for having the North Node passing through. VIII is also notable for a really tight conjunction between the Sun, Jupiter, and the Vertex. That conjunction (stellium?) throws a sextile at Fortuna IX Cancer, and that sets up another piece of potentially powerful geometry: Fortuna is square Saturn, and the Moon is square the conjunction in VIII.

I'm torn between 1725h and 1701h: at 1701, transiting MC is directly on top of my natal ASC. Natal Sun and Mercury straddle transiting Descendant; transiting Neptune (music) is right on top of natal Jupiter, transiting Anti-Vertex conjuncts natal Neptune, transiting NN conjuncts natal Vertex. Between the natal planets and the transiting ones, I have another Grand Trine going between natal Venus (music again) conjunct transiting Mercury in Taurus; natal Pluto conjunct transiting Mars (cause for concern?) in Virgo; and transiting Pluto in Capricorn. I see also that transiting Fortuna is right on top of natal Moon, and both are conjunct natal ASC/transiting MC; moreover, natal Fortuna is conjunct transiting ASC. These aspects don't seem to change significantly 20-odd minutes later.

I'm concerned that the Moon is waning, but it doesn't appear to be VOC: it holds the applying trine to Venus through the next morning.

Barring the 20 minute time differential, I'm thinking this is a good time to release the albums.. but I'd like your opinion.

OK, scratch that date... not only is Luna waning, the only aspect I'm seeing before it goes VOC a couple of hours later is a quincunx to its natal position (conjunct natal Ascendant).
