Signs and Virginity
I've noticed that several guys that I've dated have been deadset on marrying a virgin girl, wheras many don't care either way.
What signs are inclined to be picky about virginity?

Re: Signs and Virginity
Probably Earth signs, especially Virgo. Libra might be too.

Re: Signs and Virginity
What kind of values are we talking about here?????
Sun-sign "astrology" would seem to be worthless here, because sexuality is bound up in other planets. The sun is one's core sense of identity; Mars, Venus, and perhaps additional planets depending upon the chart, deal more specifically with sexuality.
Oftentimes attitudes about virginity are cultural or religious, rather than astrological.
But Rebel Uranian, earth signs are, well, earthy.

Re: Signs and Virginity
I know Earth signs are earthy. They might not care. That might be a Water thing, specifically Cancer. Some signs strongly emphasized will care more than others strongly emphasized.
People's responses to their cultures might be shown in their natal chart. 9th house planets, 11th house planets, the MC, outers, things like that would probably show how they react to their culture. I mean, Jupiter rules religion. Neptune rules cultural fads. The 9th house is the house of opinions. The 5th and 8th include sex in their descriptions. There's stuff all over the place for showing what someone thinks about virginity.

Re: Signs and Virginity
I'm a guy and I despise when men want virginity in a partner but aren't virgins themselves, it's quite simply hypocritical, and usually I think it's tremendously sexist...it's so unequal and I also think it's disrespectful to women for men to think it's acceptable for them to do those things, but a girl can't. Also, for heterosexual guys, in that case, they're also by their own definition making women they've 'dated' unwanted - ruining the lives of women that they're 'done' with. It's totally inhuman and disgusting and drives me mad...
For the astro, yes, I think that's often cultural. It's beliefs, so I'd consider aspects to Mars, Venus and Jupiter in particular.

Re: Signs and Virginity
I hate all sexism period. There have been women from hundreds and even thousands of years ago who joined the military and fought and/or commanded on the battlefield and beat the snot out of guys. Few people acknowledge rare occasions like this and mostly just say "Oh, women started gaining rights by being nurses etc." Real feminism is the transfer of things that are considered masculine to being considered feminine, not females branching out methods of nursing and tea and sympathy. There were women who discovered things during the scientific revolution (which wasn't much of a revolution) and from what I've heard most of Einstein's big work was based on what females did. Were women extremely oppressed in the past? Yes. Does that mean they didn't do anything? Of course not. Some people might be like "Oh, it's too rare to be considerable." Innovation is too rare to be considerable. Artistic talent is too rare to be considerable. But people still consider them.

Re: Signs and Virginity
Double standards are still rampant in every culture. All of my female friends are struggling with raising kids and work. The same cannot be said for any of their husbands. If the kids are sick, the men still go to work without having to worry about taking care of their children; it's the women who do. For most of these men, staying home to take care of the children is not an option. I have a male friend, who worked from home and stayed with his daughter for a bit so his wife could work on her career. After a while, he said he needed to get an office outside of the house again, as he wasn't getting any work done. No kidding!
But I digress...
Back to astrology. I'd look at the 2nd house, but also, as pointed out by byjove, Mars, Venus and Jupiter.

Re: Signs and Virginity
I live in the USA and my mom has been setting me up on dates with boys from her church. I think that might have something to do with it. I had heard that Virgo can be picky though and alot of them seemed like Virgos so I was curious.

some cultures require girls to be virgins before they get married. Some cultures require a guy and a girl to be virgins before they get married. I knew a few girls who came to the US slept around as much as they could.. then got hymen replacement surgeries done and went back and got married LOL.
i know 1 guy who raised hell in 1980s cause his wife was not a virgin when she married him. She was engaged to someone but broke off the engagement. The guy i know was scorpio she was a virgo
if a guy requires a girl to be a virgin while he is not, he is either lacking down there or just insecure nutcase

Re: Signs and Virginity
Apparently an astrological discussion of virginity is an easy segway into crapping on men in a generalised fashion. I can speak only for the men of my country, but it seems that MOST men in the U.S. do not care about virginity. In fact, having to teach a girl how to do every little thing for the first time becomes quite a pain. Many men would prefer a partner with some experience, including me.
As to the astrology, I don't think any particular sign is more disposed to be a virgin or to care about virginity than any other, including Virgo. The virginal aspect of Virgo is meant to represent purity of mind and intent, not literal virginity. As an astrologer, I see nothing about any one sign or planet that speaks directly to virginity. I would expect to find all the reasons for virginity or caring about virginity in the individual's relationship with their family, friends, and society. It's not the kind of thing you can easily pick out of a chart.

Re: Signs and Virginity
I really do not think anyone posted on this board to just bash men =/
molly seemed to be just plain astrologically curious to me and everyone has seemed to respond in a non-prejudice manner.
I did not see it as personally attacking men at all anyways.

and I have to agree with that about Virgo.

Re: Signs and Virginity
I don't think molly91 was out of line. The liberties taken with the passing comments of others were more slanted. The original question is legitimate.
